About: I have had dogs and cats my whole life. I have walked, bathed/groomed (dogs and cats), given medicine, and know how to read animal body language. I live a pretty active lifestyle and am usually around whenever you need! I do have a full time job, but it is fairly flexible and I can definitely work around anything. I respect the owners wishes and their pets needs. If you have a shy pet, no worries I will be gentle and ease into meeting them. You have a excited/energized pet? No problem I’m ready to play! Have a cuddle bug? I’m down for a nap cuddle sesh. No matter the pet I am confident I can be a good care taker for the time needed

We’re Amanda and Austen, a couple based in Scarborough with a dog of our own (our Mini Aussie, Mazie) and a lot of love to share with yours. When Amanda’s not caring for her sweet group of five-year-olds or Austen’s not out playing tennis, we’re spending time with Mazie, chasing seagulls at the beach, hiking in the mountains, or snuggling up on the couch after a snowy play session. We love active days just as much as laid-back ones, and we’re happy to match whatever energy your pup brings. We both grew up in homes with animals- at one point, Amanda had five dogs and a cat! We have cared for dogs of all breeds and energy levels, from teacup-size rescues to large-breed couch potatoes, plus plenty of other animals over the years (including Sparkles the Bearded Dragon, Amanda’s current classroom pet). We live in a quiet neighborhood with a fully fenced-in backyard that dogs love to explore. Austen works from home full-time, so your pup will get plenty of attention throughout the day, and we share responsibilities depending on the care your pet needs. Whether it’s a weekend adventure, daily daycare, or a cozy overnight stay, we’re here to make your dog feel happy, safe, and loved. We offer care throughout the week and are happy to accommodate weekends, holidays, and special requests as our schedule allows. Austen works from home and provides consistent weekday care and supervision, while Amanda handles most weekend walks, drop-ins, and house sitting when needed. Between the two of us, your pet will never go long without company, playtime, or a potty break. Whether it’s a weekend getaway or a last-minute trip, we’ll work with you to make sure your pup is happy and cared for. We know how important it is to trust someone with your pet. That’s why we always begin with a meet-and-greet to ensure your dog is comfortable with us, and you’re confident in the care we provide. We take a gentle, respectful approach, especially with shy or anxious dogs, and we’ll always ask for your guidance on what makes your pup feel safe and secure. Whether we’re in your home or ours, we want to provide a low-stress, enriching environment with plenty of attention, structure, and love. We’re also happy to provide regular updates (with photos!) and check-ins during every visit or stay, so you’re always in the loop - because we’d want the same from someone watching Mazie.

About: Hi my name is Rachel! I’m excited to meet you and your furbaby! I have a 7 year old husky and have had dogs and cats my whole life. I have professional experience working at a dog training school which included training, walking, feeding, and playing the dogs. This experience gave me knowledge that will keep your dog safe and engaged with my care. There I dealt with hundreds of different dogs. I am comfortable with all breeds and sizes. FOR DAYCARE - my husband and I both work remotely M,T,F. Accepting dogs these days in our home. We have a large fenced in back yard, secure enough that keeps our husky in. Your pup can hang out there all day or in our home. I also love cats so much and love hanging out with them! I’ll go at their own pace and give as much pets and play time as they’ll have. Owning a husky and working for a dog daycare center has exposed me to many different temperaments. My own dog can be very high energy and difficult at times, so I’m used to it all!

We couldn't have asked for a better situation: a pet savvy family, fenced-in back yard, kindness and attention to her needs. He even sent updates with photos!
