I pay attention to their every need and make sure they are as comfortable and happy as possible. I always go the extra mile to ensure proper care.
About: I have lots of experience taking care of cats and dogs alike. I have fostered plenty of animals and love taking care of them. I have experience taking care of elderly dogs and administering medication. I am currently enrolled at WWU, so I am typically available after 3pm on weekdays and most of the day on weekends. I have experience with taking care of sick/elderly/special needs animals!
“Lizz saved the day for us! We had a family emergency come up and had to leave town last minute. Lizz was able to cover all the walks in our absence. She gave us great feedback and won over our shy pup. Highly recommend.”

“Chloe was so communicative and sweet!! I highly recommend her. She was professional and provided detailed oriented updates and photos while i was away on vacation.”

About: What sets me apart is that I’ve raised and cared for my own dog since he was a puppy and he’s now three years old, so I’m comfortable with dogs at all stages of life. Growing up around dogs also gave me experience with a wide range of personalities, energy levels, and needs. I’m currently a graduate student at WWU, so pet care fits really naturally into my daily routine. Aside from a few set commitments (a few meetings on Mondays and TAing from 11:00 - ~5:00 p.m. on Tuesdays) I have a flexible schedule and can plan my days around your pet’s needs for walks, feedings, playtime, and companionship. I do share a dog with my ex-partner, so I’m only available for overnight stays when my dog is with them. My availability will always be kept up to date to reflect this. I’m very mindful that I’m stepping into someone else’s home and into a pet’s familiar environment. I focus on keeping things calm, predictable, and secure by following the pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. I double check doors, gates, and leashes, keep food and household items out of reach, and make sure pets are comfortable.

About: I have been taking care of animals for as long as I can remember, cats since I was born, and dogs since I was 11. Growing up with pets has given me lots of experience with animals, as I've been a primary caregiver for my own animals for years. Beyond my own pets, I started walking and caring for others' pets at 15, including overnight stays. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, whether they want to play, cuddle, or just hang out with someone. I am patient, attentive, and committed to making pets feel safe and happy. I'm currently a student at Western Washington University. My classes are usually in the late morning to early afternoon, so I am flexible in the morning, late afternoon, and evenings. On the weekends, I am fully available for visits or overnight care. I provide all my pet care in clients' homes and follow each owner's routine and house rules closely. I make sure pets get the attention, playtime, or company they need. I keep clients' homes organized and clean while I am there, and I send photos and updates to show how their pets are doing.

“Wendy was so sweet and kind with my pup! It was my pup's first time meeting a new friend through Rover, and Wendy was so thoughtful and patient with her. We can't wait for our next hang out!”

“Yana took care of my 6-year-old vizsla for 2 nights as well as some extra walking/day care. She did an excellent job! Nootka was having some issues with a sore by her eye, and Yana was proficient in cleaning it and giving her oral medication. She updated me with photos and answered messages quickly. She also left my home clean and tidy, and was super flexible with a bunch of last-minute scheduling changes I had to throw at her. I would recommend hiring her without hesitation!”

About: Hi there! My name’s Abby, and caring for animals has always been at the heart of who I am. I’ve worked hands-on with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities through my time at the Whatcom Humane Society, where I gained extensive experience handling rescue animals and helping them feel safe, loved, and confident again. I’m currently working toward becoming a veterinary technician, which means I bring both compassion and a growing foundation of medical knowledge to every pet I care for. I’ve also spent years involved in wildlife rehabilitation, giving me a deep understanding of animal behavior, body language, and how to create calm, positive environments—even for nervous or shy pets. Whether it’s long walks, playtime, training reinforcement, or cozy companionship, I tailor every visit to meet your pet’s unique needs. You can trust that your furry friend will be treated with the same patience, respect, and love I’d give my own. I’d love to meet you and your pets! Let’s make their time away from you as happy, safe, and fun as possible. I am currently an owner of two dogs with a broad range of personalities and energy levels. Their care and needs are a priority, with a daily schedule of feedings, play time, and walks around the neighborhood to get their energy out, as well as stimulate their brains. I also have experience volunteering at the Whatcom Humane Society, helping to walk the dogs and spend time with them outside of their kennel, in hopes of increasing their chances of adoption. In my clients home, I will treat their pets like my own, with their health and needs as my number one priority. My goal is to make your pet feel safe and comfortable, easing their anxiety of being away from their families.
“Maddy has been an amazing addition to my busy routine! Highly recommend her. My dog doesn't usually like or trust people off of her first meeting, but she instantly fell in love with Maddy.”

About: Ive been pet sitting and dog walking for the past three years. I care about your pets, I am excited to make new furry friends! I am a college student with lots of free time in the afternoon and evenings. I like to get my steps in on walks throughout the day and would love to have some dogs to accompany me. I thoroughly follow instructions of how homes and pets should be cared for and treated. I like to go above and beyond of clients dog walking expectations.
About: Dogs have been my family my whole life! I grew up surrounded by dogs and have spent years learning their cues. I’m comfortable with all kinds of dogs and their needs. I’d love to treat your furry family members like my own! As a senior at WWU, I have a very consistent schedule that allows me to dedicate quality time to your pets. I am available most of the day on Thursday and Friday for daytime walks or sittings, and I’m wide open on evenings and weekends for overnight care or check-ins. I’m local to the area and can easily make your pet a priority during my off-school hours. I exclusively offer care in the client’s home, as I believe pets are happiest and most relaxed in their own environment. I am highly respectful of your space and privacy, and my goal is to keep your pet’s routine exactly as it is when you’re there. Whether it’s following specific feeding rituals or favorite walk routes, I make sure your home stays tidy and your pet feels secure and loved in their own domain.
About: I've been raised alongside a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, and even horses, which has given me a deep understanding of different animal behaviors and needs. II've fostered dogs in the past as well, which has equipped me with the skills to handle unique situations and provide a comforting environment for dogs in transition. I am currently at student at WWU, and am done with classes by 1pm every day. That gives me plenty of times to run over during the afternoon/evening to check on your furry friends! As I am in an apartment I cannot have animals here, but I am open to making stops or staying overnight when needed to ensure the best care for your pets. I can take on walks around the neighborhood, crate if needed, entertain or just check in on the pets!
“Katherine is very responsive and was able to help get the wiggles out of my active puppy. She took her for several much appreciated long walks on trails, one was very last minute when I was called into work. She is a lifesaver. I highly recommend Katherine!”

South Hill dog parents share their Rover experiences
Abby was responsive and communicative with messages, and went above and beyond making sure my dog was loved and cared for. My dog has a couple quirks that can make drop in walks/visits a bit more challenging and she was totally happy to accommodate everything I asked for. Highly recommend!

Lucu really helped me out greatly to walk my dog daily as I healed from orthopedic surgery for six weeks. He was always punctual, communicated fantastically and worked well with my dog. I appreciated how well he was flexible around the winter, rainy weather and always did a great job with account updates (both scheduling and payments). My whole recovery went well thanks to the wonderful service Luca consistently provided. I would highly recommend Luca to others in any capacity. Thanks so much!
