I am currently an owner of two dogs with a broad range of personalities and energy levels. Their care and needs are a priority, with a daily schedule of feedings, play time, and walks around the neighborhood to get their energy out, as well as stimulate their brains. I also have experience volunteering at the Whatcom Humane Society, helping to walk the dogs and spend time with them outside of their kennel, in hopes of increasing their chances of adoption.

Pet care experience
Hi there! My name’s Abby, and caring for animals has always been at the heart of who I am. I’ve worked hands-on with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities through my time at the Whatcom Humane Society, where I gained extensive experience handling rescue animals and helping them feel safe, loved, and confident again. I’m currently working toward becoming a veterinarian, which means I bring both compassion and a growing foundation of medical knowledge to every pet I care for. I’ve also spent years involved in wildlife rehabilitation, giving me a deep understanding of animal behavior, body language, and how to create calm, positive environments—even for nervous or shy pets. Whether it’s long walks, playtime, training reinforcement, or cozy companionship, I tailor every visit to meet your pet’s unique needs. You can trust that your furry friend will be treated with the same patience, respect, and love I’d give my own. I’d love to meet you and your pets! Let’s make their time away from you as happy, safe, and fun as possible.

I was so happy with Abby as my dog's sitter while I was out of town. She was very professional and thorough in gathering details before the drop in times. And was very communicative during the entire time I was away. I felt assured that my dog was getting the best care. Would happily have her watch Perseus again.

Abby was responsive and communicative with messages, and went above and beyond making sure my dog was loved and cared for. My dog has a couple quirks that can make drop in walks/visits a bit more challenging and she was totally happy to accommodate everything I asked for. Highly recommend!

Abby took excellent care of my cat while I was away and they seemed to hit it off! It is clear she has both a love for animals and a knack for connecting with them. I will definitely request Abby's assistance again next time I need to travel.
Abby is an animal lover. She is studying to work as a vet tech for exotic animals and has loads of experience caring for all kinds of animals and pets. She is so sweet to her dog Winnie and always makes sure she is loved and has everything she needs. Abby connects with all animals and will adapt her care to any animals needs.
