About: I have over 20 years of experience caring for dogs and cats. I have also cared for other animals like turtles, frogs, rabbits, hamsters and birds. Growing up surrounded by pets sparked a lifelong passion for animal care, and I’ve been caring for them ever since. I used to run my own dog-sitting business in the neighborhood where I grew up. I cared for dogs of all sizes and personalities, providing walks, feeding, playtime, and lots of love and attention. It was a rewarding experience that helped me build lasting relationships with both pets and their owners. I’ve also cared for cats and other small animals, always making sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their owners are away. I understand that every pet has unique needs and routines, and I take pride in providing dependable, compassionate care as if they were my own. As a teacher, I have a consistent schedule that allows me to care for dogs before work, after work, and throughout the weekends. On weekdays, your dog will receive plenty of attention in the mornings and evenings, and if boarding with me, they’ll have the companionship of my friendly dog during the day. I’m also available for overnight stays, boarding on weekends, holidays, and school breaks, giving your pet plenty of love, exercise, and personalized care while you’re away. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, my goal is to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. In my home, pets become part of the family, receiving plenty of attention, playtime, exercise, and affection while maintaining their normal routines as closely as possible. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect both your home and your pet’s routine by following feeding schedules, providing walks, playtime, medications if needed, and lots of companionship. I know every pet is unique, so I take the time to understand their personality and needs to ensure they receive the best possible care. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages, so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.
“Luna was an incredible pet sitter! She went above and beyond to take good care of our cat while we were away, and she even brought along new toys for the cat to play with. We look forward to working with Luna again soon and can’t recommend her highly enough!”

“Sherri is amazing to work with. Very communicative and was able to accommodate me on short notice. I felt completely comfortable leaving our Luna in her care. Sherri is definitely our go to for pet care!”

“Sabina looked in after my baby Cassius and took great care of him! It was a last minute booking and she was more than accommodating with such short notice. She was attentive to his needs and did everything we asked of her! We’ll definitely book with her again!”

“Jalisa responded very quickly when I put out the call for a last-minute sitter when my scheduled sitter cancelled 11PM the previous day. She was very prompt for our meeting to introduce her to my dogs and get the housekey. My dogs enjoyed meeting her. She sent pics and video, and even my very shy rescue pup felt comfortable enough to come out of hiding for her.”

“Philsung went above and beyond to take care of Petey. During this snowstorm, he walked the rest of the way to my apartment when his car got stuck. When you’re not able to be there with your dog, it’s a terrible feeling, I was so worried Philsung would not be able to make it there but he did. That’s reliability and dedication and a true love for animals. He is an excellent sitter.”

“Honest feedback here - I was a little hesitant in using Xavier as he was young without too many years of experience, but I was in a bind and my last two sitters flaked - I saw that he was rated as a star sitter though with great reviews, so moved forward here and I am so glad I did. His communication skills are above the charts. He is extremely responsive, communicates very well (seems to truly care about your pets and their needs) and was always great about texting updates and photos - Too boot, he was extremely accommodating as the drive was a bit far, but he knew I was in a bind and took the job without hesitation - Moreover, he was very punctual and came at the times I needed him too. I can't tell you how nice it was to come home after my trip to a home where it was very easy to see my babies were well looked after and taken care of - Lastly, he has very good energy and I felt good leaving my babies in his hands even though was a stranger -”

About: I worked for Animal Loving Care (ALC) for 2 years when I lived in NYC. During that time, I walked dogs, I was a pet sitter and worked in the daycare department. The company wanted me to come back but I moved to New Jersey once I became a mom. It's a long commute for me to go every day taking public transportation to New York with my son. I've been walking and taking care of dogs from external clients that I have and who ACCEPT ME TO GO WITH MY SON. You can see photos on my profile. I'm a stay-at-home mom, fully dedicated to caring for and raising my now 2 and a half old son. I also walk some of my clients' dogs and feed their pets when needed. We can make an appointment to meet and meet the dog before. I can take care of your pet at my home for as many days as necessary. walk your dog as many times as necessary. Feed them and play. I am a stay-at-home mom raising my two and a half year old son. I am available full time to care for your pet, taking him/her for walks, feeding it, and playing with them. We live in an apartment, but we have parks nearby, and there is plenty of green space right downstairs. My son is a calm child, and he likes animals. He doesn't hit, bite, or scratch, neither the animals nor us.

Katie has been a wonderful sitter for my cats! She was easy to reach and very responsive. She even agreed to an emergency visit when my cat toppled the water fountain over. I was able to enjoy our vacation with peace of mind knowing she’s looking after my babies :) Thank you, Katie!

This is our first time using Rover and we felt so lucky that we found Karen. Karen takes care of our pets not only with full of experience and patience, but also with love and sentiment. She’s always so considerate, thoughtful and responsive and she gets along with both of our pets so well just after a couple of visits. We trust her 100% with our pets and will definitely rebook with her next time we are out of town. I highly recommend Karen.

Yong was an excellent Rover sitter for my cats. He was incredibly diligent, followed every instruction exactly, and made sure their medications were administered properly—which was especially important to me. He was also very communicative throughout the stay, sending plenty of pictures and thoughtful updates that gave me total peace of mind. I came home to happy, well-cared-for cats and would absolutely book with him again.

Mya was truly a blessing and the perfect kitty sitter! She was extremely attentive and loving to my two little spoiled cats. She was always on time and spent a lot of quality time with them. They were instantly in love with and felt super comfortable with her. I was away for work at my new job and wanted to fully committed without worrying. She sent many cute pictures and just went above and beyond. Hire her! But not when I need her 😅 (jk) you won’t regret it. ♥️

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
