Availability

I am currently working part time so which does give me a lot of availability. I can also work remotely much of the time, so it wouldn't be difficult for me to give your pet the care and attention they need. The busiest time for me would be the afternoons, but mornings and evenings I am the most available.

Safety, trust & environment

I typically will have a discussion with the pet parent first to find out the pet's typical routine, and if there are any other things I need to be aware of, such as diet, places to walk and go to the bathroom, reactivity, etc. And if there are any favorite toys or treats or activities that their pet loves that can help them feel more at ease. And then if all of that is agreed, then I would follow those guidelines and make sure there are timely check ins and updates to make sure that communication is kept.

Information Leah d. would like to know about your pet

Thankfully I have had experience with both smaller and larger dogs so I'm happy to meet them no matter what. But please let me know if they may have any of what you may consider to be bad habits, just so I can be on the look out for them and prevent any bad outcomes that it would be in my power to prevent.

A typical day

It would be great to play with your pet's favorite toys or run around in the backyard (exercise for the both of us) and also check out all the smells in the neighborhood with a nice walk. Spring is on the way!

Pet care experience

I have been around dogs since I was a baby. My grandmother raised collie show dogs, and I remember always being excited to be able to talk her beautiful dogs for a walk, feed them or play with them. Though I didn't own a dog of my own, throughout my childhood I always adored puppies and dogs, and in 2018 I had my first experience loving a cat when a stray seemed to have adopted me. And in 2019 and 2020 two large pit bull mixes joined our family. The dogs are presently mainly in my care, particularly the senior who is now 13 years old and requires daily medication for seizures. And though some days are harder than others, there is nothing better than seeing their precious faces everyday. The way I see it, the more animals I get to know, the better!

Leah is fabulous dog walker. I felt very confident leaving our dog in her care while we were away. She was thorough, caring, and kind. She always sent us detailed reports, along with pictures of our dog’s progress.
