About: Hey pawrents! I'm Paige - your pet's new best friend! I have had puppy dogs my entire life and have been taking care of friends’ and family's pet kids for years. I have one child at the moment; a senior husky-mix, Nala, who loves to play, but she is good at reading others' behaviors. I have done boarding in the past, but residing with family at the moment, so I am only doing house sittings and drop-ins in the Charleston-South Charleston area only. I work a usual schedule of 6-2:30pm M-F in downtown Charleston, which allows for late afternoon and evening availability during the week, as well as the potential for a midday potty break during lunch, depending on location. I know how important it is to have someone you can trust to take care of your pets. I'm happy to offer that for you. I promise to treat your loved ones like my own - with love, patience, and lots of belly rubs! I do not currently accept cat care due to allergies I am a federal government employee, so please note I have had an extensive background check and am fingerprinted. Since I’m currently not offering boarding, I care for pets in their own home through house-sitting and drop-in visits. With house-sitting, I stay in your home and provide full-time care — feeding, walks, playtime, and companionship — while also keeping an eye on your home, bring in mail, water plants, and make sure everything stays tidy and secure. For drop-ins, I stop by for quick visits to check in, feed, walk, or play with your pets. I can usually do morning, evening, and even a midday visit during my lunch break if needed. My goal is to keep your pets happy and comfortable in their own space while you’re away.

About: Responsible and caring dog lover with over 10 years of hands-on experience raising and caring for my own German Shepherd since I was 9. Now almost 20, I’ve developed a deep understanding of dog behavior, routines, and what it takes to keep pups happy and healthy. I’m dependable, patient, and truly enjoy spending time with animals—whether it’s a fun walk, some playtime, or just being a calm, friendly presence. I treat every dog like they’re my own and always aim to make them feel safe, loved, and well-cared for. I have a completely open and flexible schedule this summer, as I’m taking online classes. I’m available for daily walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting—morning, afternoon, or evening. Happy to work around your dog’s routine and needs! Safety, trust, and a comfortable environment are always my top priorities when caring for pets—whether in my home or my client’s. I take time to get to know each dog’s personality, preferences, and routines so they feel secure and at ease. I make sure they have plenty of fresh water, comfortable resting spots, and a peaceful environment free from hazards or stress. When caring for pets in their own home, I follow your instructions closely to keep their routine consistent and familiar. I always respect your space, treat it like my own, and give lots of love and attention to your furry family member. Whether it’s walks, feeding, playtime, or just good company, I’m always focused on creating a positive, trusting relationship with both pets and their people.
About: We got into pet care together because helping animals has always been a shared passion; it’s something that brought us closer and now it’s something we get to do side by side while helping our community 🥹 We currently foster for the Kanawha Charleston Shelter and another local rescue, help with TNR in our area, rehome strays, and love to spoil our own little crew of rescues! Over the years, we’ve cared for dogs, cats, pigs, chickens, reptiles, rabbits, rats, and even birds! We’re especially comfortable with pets who need a little extra patience, like shy rescues, semi-ferals, and senior animals! 🐕🦺 We have hands-on experience with: • Medications (oral, topical, injectable like insulin) • Anxious or reactive behavior • Special diets and tricky routines • Post-op and long-term medical needs • Livestock Friends! We're also active in the rescue world currently supporting fundraising, marketing, and networking for Krazie Ladies Animal Rescue, and jumping in when people in our community need help with lost pets or urgent rehoming! This isn’t just a side gig for us... it’s something we truly love doing together! If you’d like to see more of the happy pets we’ve cared for (and a peek at us in action), check out our Facebook page: Almost Heaven Critter Care WV 🐾 We’d be happy to help you and your pets have a stress-free, love-filled, judgement-free experience while you’re away! We both work from home, so our days naturally revolve around the animals we care for; ours and yours! That means we’re super flexible with visits throughout the day, whether it’s a quick morning potty break, midday meds, or evening playtime. Caring for animals is already part of our daily life. We foster and volunteer locally, so working around feeding schedules, quirky behaviors, and special routines is second nature. You can count on us to show up on time and treat your pets like they’re part of the family! Weekend availability included... just reach out and let’s chat about what you need! 📅 We kindly ask for 3 days' notice for all bookings and cancellations so we can plan our calendar and make sure we’re giving every pet the time and care they deserve 💛 When we’re in your home, we treat it with the same care and respect we’d want for our own! We always follow your instructions to the T; whether that’s feed times, locked doors or quirky pet routine... We will always keep your space clean, calm, and secure before we leave! We’re happy to work with homes that use security systems or indoor cameras, and we’ll always communicate clearly about access (keys, codes, etc.) so everyone feels comfortable! After each visit, you’ll get a photo or two and a quick update so you’re never left wondering how things went!! If your pets have any medical needs, special diets, triggers, or unique behaviors, we’ll ask about those ahead of time so we can handle everything confidently! We’ve worked with nervous pets, escape artists, and even semi-ferals... so nothing surprises us! We know how much trust it takes to let someone into your home and into your pet’s routine, and we don’t take that lightly! ❤️
About: I’ve spent my whole life around animals and truly love caring for them like they’re my own. I currently have both a dog and a cat, so I fully understand the different needs, personalities, and routines that each pet requires. I’ve also cared for other small pets, and I’ve volunteered at local shelters, where I gained hands-on experience with animals of all sizes, ages, and temperaments. I’m skilled in feeding schedules, litter box and potty training, giving oral or topical medications, leash walking, basic commands, and helping anxious pets feel safe and secure. I’m especially patient with shy cats and high-energy pups, and I’m happy to follow your pet’s routine exactly as you prefer. I also offer house sitting, so your pets can stay in their familiar environment while you’re away. Whether your cat loves quiet companionship or your dog needs lots of playtime, I’m here to provide reliable, loving care — and plenty of updates and photos so you feel at ease too. Your pets’ happiness and comfort are always my top priority. I have open availability, which means I can easily work around your schedule — whether you need early morning visits, evening walks, or extended house sitting. I’m happy to be flexible to meet your pet’s needs. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always prioritize keeping things clean, respectful, and as close to the pet’s normal routine as possible. I make sure to follow all instructions carefully, from feeding times and walking schedules to litter box cleaning or medication needs. I give pets lots of attention, love, and playtime — while also respecting their boundaries and any house rules. I’m mindful of the space I’m in — I clean up after myself and the pets, avoid restricted areas, and make sure everything is left just as I found it. Whether it’s watering plants, bringing in the mail, or sending regular photo updates, I’m happy to help however I can to give peace of mind while you’re away. My goal is to make sure both your pets and your home are well cared for.
“On time to the minute. So patient with my very confused dog (she’s never been walked by anyone else but me). Would recommend highly and I’m a nut about who I trust my dog with”

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life—growing up on a farm and later living in apartments. We’ve always had multiple dogs at once, and I’ve cared for a wide variety of breeds, including Yorkies, Beagles, Pit Bulls, Shepherds, Hounds, English Bulldogs, Great Danes, and more. No matter the size or breed, I have hands-on experience with them all! My brother breeds mini Labradoodles and raises them kennel-free, so all the puppies and mamas live inside the home. I’ve helped care for his dogs often—everything from newborn puppy care to managing females in heat, intact males, and keeping dogs safely separated when needed. Currently, I have a 5-month-old daughter and an XL Bully named Tadder. He’s not fixed, but he’s incredibly sweet and gentle, especially around my baby. Tadder gets along great with female dogs and smaller males. He’s crate trained, and we also have two separate areas in the house to keep him safely apart if you have a female in heat or a larger male dog. I’m a stay-at-home mom, so my daily life naturally revolves around being a caregiver. Our big dog has a routine that includes a morning, midday, and evening walk. His favorite spot is the laundry room, where he has his own couch and crate—that’s usually where he sleeps and relaxes. During the day, it’s just me, the dog, and the baby at home until around 5 or 6 PM. I’m definitely the snuggler in the house, while my fiancé takes over playtime when he gets home! When a pet is in my home, I do my best to make their stay feel as close to their home routine as possible. I think of it like caring for someone’s child—I want to respect and follow your rules to meet your pet’s specific needs. While I may not be able to fully replicate a fenced yard if you have one at home, we do have a runner for safe outdoor time and go on plenty of walks to keep them active and happy. If I’m caring for your pet in your home, I’ll follow any instructions you leave and will keep you updated regularly. Even if I’m just stopping by for a visit or a walk, I like to spend a little extra time with your pet to help ease any anxiety they might feel with someone new around.
“Jamie was great with my pup - she came right on time for his walk, sent pictures and updates so I didn't worry about him, managed his reactivity, and took him for a nice long walk so he was well-exercised and happy when I got home.”
