Stephanie was *great* with my Casey dog. She sent pics, throughout the stay. She also helped me learn that Casey isn't always great around other dogs, so I will have to update that in her bio, sadly. I super highly recommend Stephanie for all your doggy boarding needs. My pup looked so content in the pics she sent me <3

About: I've got decades of experience pampering pups of ALL ages and sizes! I've been an animal lover my whole life, and grew up with lots of doggos! I currently live in an apartment with my 1 sweet dog, but I work from home so your dog will have constant care. They will get plenty of exercise and potty breaks. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule. So I will be able to walk, cuddle, and cater to your pet whenever you need me to! When caring for pets in your home, I make sure your babe(s) feels safe, loved, and entertained. I stick closely to your instructions, whether it's about feeding schedules, exercise routines, or special needs. Your pet’s comfort (and approval) is my top priority! I love keeping you in the loop with updates, including fun photos or videos, so you can see how happy your pet is. Playtime, exercise, and mental stimulation are part of our daily routine to keep your pet active and happy. In case of emergencies, I’m prepared and know the nearest veterinary clinics. Plus, I always respect your space, keeping it clean and tidy. My goal is to provide a loving, trustworthy, and fun environment for your pet while you're away.

Melissa was great ! She offered a meet and greet prior to Nova coming to stay with her which allowed Nova to meet her and get acquainted with where she would be staying ! Melissa provided great communication and sent multiple photos and videos of Nova throughout the day. She kept my mind at ease regarding Nova while I was out of town . Would 10000% recommend as she was great and provided a spacious house and yard for Nova to play and roam!

About: As a lifelong dog owner, caring for pups is second nature to me. I know exactly how important peace of mind is when leaving your pet, which is why I prioritize clear communication, frequent updates, and plenty of personalized attention. From daily walks and interactive playtime to cozy cuddle sessions, I tailor my care to match your dog's specific personality and energy level. I look forward to treating your beloved pet like a member of my own family. I currently stay at Home so I am available any time of the day. This allows me to easily accommodate custom feeding, walking, and medication schedules. I have a small yard and a friendly dog to keep your fur baby company. My yard is not fenced, so I always take guests on guided walks and trips to the local park for secure, energetic exercise. My pet is a miniature poodle who loves to play and cuddle. For bedtime, guests can sleep comfortably right in my bedroom or use a dedicated spare room depending on their routine.

Brandi was really accommodating with the pickup/drop off time and I could tell she had a lot of experience dog sitting. My dog quickly warmed up to her. Brandi sent me a couple pictures of my dog while I was gone, which was nice. I will likely ask her to dog sit for me in the future.

About: I’ve grown up around dogs and cats my entire life, so caring for animals has always come naturally to me. I have hands-on experience with daily feeding, walks, playtime, and lots of love and attention. I’ve also regularly cared for friends’ and family members’ pets while they’re out of town, making sure their pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for in their own routine. I treat every pet as if they were my own and always prioritize their happiness and well-being. As a teacher, my schedule allows me to be home in the evenings and on weekends, giving me plenty of time to provide attentive and consistent pet care. I’m able to stick closely to feeding schedules, playtime, walks, and any special routines your pet needs. Because my time outside of school is flexible and dependable, I can give your pet the care, attention, and companionship they deserve. I provide loving, hands-on care tailored to each pet’s needs. At home, I have two cats and a dog, so I’m very familiar with balancing playtime, exercise, and daily routines. I make sure my pets get plenty of attention and enrichment through play, and I walk my dog multiple times a day to keep him happy and healthy. I bring the same level of care, patience, and dedication to every pet I look after, treating them as if they were my own.

This was our first time leaving our sweet puppy behind for a vacation. Destiney and Ben made the experience an absolute breeze. Stewie took to them right away and they treated him to a vacation of his very own all week long. They sent detailed daily updated with tons of pictures, and they even did a little puppy craft with him! 5 stars is not enough. I give them a 10/10. Highly recommend!

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their South Charleston home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in WV ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
