I look forward to treating your beloved pet like a member of my own family. I currently stay at Home so I am available any time of the day. This allows me to easily accommodate custom feeding, walking, and medication schedules. I have a small yard and a friendly dog to keep your fur baby company. My yard is not fenced, so I always take guests on guided walks and trips to the local park for secure, energetic exercise. My pet is a miniature poodle who loves to play and cuddle. For bedtime, guests can sleep comfortably right in my bedroom or use a dedicated spare room depending on their routine.

We got into pet care together because helping animals has always been a shared passion; it’s something that brought us closer and now it’s something we get to do side by side while helping our community 🥹 We currently foster for the Kanawha Charleston Shelter and another local rescue, help with TNR in our area, rehome strays, and love to spoil our own little crew of rescues! We've recently renovated our attached brick garage into a dedicated boarding space designed to provide a safe, comfortable, low-stress environment for your pets. Unlike many boarding facilities, we only board one family's pets at a time. Whether you have one dog, multiple dogs, dogs and cats together or just cats, your family will be our only boarding guests during their stay! This allows us to provide more individualized care while reducing stress and eliminating interactions with unfamiliar animals. Each guest has access to a spacious 8' x 6' x 4' kennel, but they're not required to stay inside it. The kennel can remain open, giving them the option to relax in their own secure space or enjoy the larger boarding area. Comfortable bedding, including a traditional dog bed and raised cooling cot, is provided! Someone is almost always home, and we work remotely, allowing for frequent interaction, supervision, and additional attention for pets who need it. Security cameras are also in place throughout the boarding area and outside our home for added safety and peace of mind! We provide treats, enrichment, and natural chews (with owner approval) and do our best to follow your pet's normal routine. Whether they have a specific feeding schedule, medication schedule, bedtime routine, or exercise preferences, we'll work to keep things as familiar as possible! Dogs have access to a fenced outdoor exercise area and can enjoy leashed walks around our property, including our creek area. Our typical boarding routine runs from approximately 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM, though we're happy to accommodate reasonable adjustments whenever possible! We do have our own dogs and cats at home. All of our pets are vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and well cared for. For everyone's safety, boarding guests will not interact with our personal pets, though they may occasionally hear our dogs barking from elsewhere on the property. 🐱 Cat Boarding Available! Cats are welcome too! Whether your cat is social, shy, senior, or requires medication, we'll provide a quiet, secure environment tailored to their needs while maintaining their normal routine as closely as possible! If we don't have fosters at the time, your kitties are welcome to stay in the home as well! Either in their own room, or if they're friendly with other animals, they're welcome to explore the whole house! We both work from home, so our days naturally revolve around the animals we care for; ours and yours! That means we’re super flexible with visits throughout the day, whether it’s a quick morning potty break, midday meds, or evening playtime. Caring for animals is already part of our daily life. We foster and volunteer locally, so working around feeding schedules, quirky behaviors, and special routines is second nature. You can count on us to show up on time and treat your pets like they’re part of the family! Weekend availability included... just reach out and let’s chat about what you need! 📅 We kindly ask for 3 days' notice for all bookings and cancellations so we can plan our calendar and make sure we’re giving every pet the time and care they deserve 💛 When we’re in your home, we treat it with the same care and respect we’d want for our own! We always follow your instructions to the T; whether that’s feed times, locked doors or quirky pet routine... We will always keep your space clean, calm, and secure before we leave! We’re happy to work with homes that use security systems or indoor cameras, and we’ll always communicate clearly about access (keys, codes, etc.) so everyone feels comfortable! After each visit, you’ll get a photo or two and a quick update so you’re never left wondering how things went!! If your pets have any medical needs, special diets, triggers, or unique behaviors, we’ll ask about those ahead of time so we can handle everything confidently! We’ve worked with nervous pets, escape artists, and even semi-ferals... so nothing surprises us! We know how much trust it takes to let someone into your home and into your pet’s routine, and we don’t take that lightly! ❤️

“Laura was an excellent care provider of our dog, Happy! Happy got sick the day after we left town… He developed pancreatitis…The vet thought from the cicadas he had eaten the days before. Laura checked with us and took him to the ER (vet) because she saw blood in his diarrhea. They kept him for two days for IVs, meds, etc. when he started eating, she was able to take him home and took excellent care of him as though he was her own dog. She cooked chicken, and rice to help him start eating again. Her dog, ‘BOO’ watched over Happy also. She kept us informed with videos and texts every day. When we got back home, Happy was clearly feeling well at Laura‘s home and happy being with BOO. Laura keeps a sharp eye on the dogs. We definitely recommend her!!!”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my whole life and currently have four large dogs – three of my own and one foster. I also volunteer with local animal rescues and spend many Fridays at the Dog Pound, giving all the animals love, walks, vaccinations, and sometimes even a trip to my home (I’m always joking that I’m one dog away from a divorce – but he knew what he was getting into!) Joining the Rover community lets me share my passion for caring with other pet owners. I know how hard it can be to leave your furry family members, and I’m here to provide them with the love and attention they deserve. I’ll make sure they’re happy, well cared for, and keep you updated with plenty of pictures to give you peace of mind! I’m currently staying home with my babies so I will have plenty of time to love yours! Don’t be afraid to ask about my schedule! I have a full fenced in yard. Two of my dogs are inside. One roams freely during the day with a doggy door to the outside fenced in yard. One is kenneled during the day. Both are kenneled at night. One is outside full time (unless it’s freezing cold and I have to force him inside). I also have one large kennel outside where my foster dog stays most of the time. All dogs are up to date on vaccines and receive monthly flea tick and heart guard meds. As for your home, I’m up for a meet and greet depending on what you need!

I’m able to stick closely to feeding schedules, playtime, walks, and any special routines your pet needs. Because my time outside of school is flexible and dependable, I can give your pet the care, attention, and companionship they deserve. I provide loving, hands-on care tailored to each pet’s needs. At home, I have two cats and a dog, so I’m very familiar with balancing playtime, exercise, and daily routines. I make sure my pets get plenty of attention and enrichment through play, and I walk my dog multiple times a day to keep him happy and healthy. I bring the same level of care, patience, and dedication to every pet I look after, treating them as if they were my own.

“Wonderful! This was our first experience w/ this app and Sandra was just amazing! We found this app last minute before our trip out of town and Sandra got back to us, scheduled a meet and greet and accepted our two fur babies for the weekend. We always had to do day trips or have a family member watch them for a night so we were a little nervous to drop them off, but wow- she kept in constant communication, sent pictures, and made sure they were safe.
