“Stephanie and her family took amazing care of my dog Mac(aroni)! I brought Mac for one night in February to make sure she would be comfortable for her longer stay in March. When we arrived in March to drop her off for an 11-night stay, Mac was thrilled to see Stephanie and her family! That was very reassuring. We will definitely be booking with Stephanie again in the future. Thank you!”

“My dog wanted to stay when I came to get her! Brenda truly pours love into every pet she meets. I am so grateful for the peace of mind knowing that Betty is being cared for superbly!”

“Rachel was wonderful taking care Papi. She was very communicative and treated papi very well. He became attached to her children which was typical of Papi. I definitely recommend her as a sitter and will be looking to have her take him again.”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and cats and have a 5yr old golden retriever who I trained from the puppy stage. I’ve also walked dogs through Wag and have experience with all personalities and energy levels. I work from home so your pet will get lots of attention, frequent potty breaks, and companionship throughout the day! Since I work from home, your pet will never be alone and will get all the attention and playtime throughout the day! I live in a very walkable neighborhood and enjoy taking dogs on leashed walks as well as letting them play in the yard. I provide a comfortable, home-like environment where pets can be part of the family. I have a partially fenced yard, but since it isn’t fully enclosed, dogs are always supervised and kept on a leash outside. I also take them on walks around our very walkable neighborhood. I’ll follow your pet’s normal routine and any special instructions you provide, and I’ll always prioritize their safety and comfort. My goal is for your pet to feel like they’re staying with a friend—not at a kennel!
“Summer took great care of Lemmy! We got regular photos, she did a great job with his meds, and she was very patient with us in our first time using Rover. Summer, her family, and her own pets were great to our temperamental little chihuahua. Can’t thank her enough!”

“Melissa was great ! She offered a meet and greet prior to Nova coming to stay with her which allowed Nova to meet her and get acquainted with where she would be staying ! Melissa provided great communication and sent multiple photos and videos of Nova throughout the day. She kept my mind at ease regarding Nova while I was out of town . Would 10000% recommend as she was great and provided a spacious house and yard for Nova to play and roam!”

“Madison is wonderful. It was easy to communicate with her. She was quick to respond to any questions I had. I felt totally comfortable leaving Speck with her. She sent photos and videos regularly. He had had a really fun time. I would highly recommend and plan to hire her again.”

“Destiney and Benjamin took great care of our two German shepherds. Very quick to answer messages and have a great space for your pets to stay. We received lots of updates and pictures during their stay. Would highly recommend and we will be using them again.”

Many sitters in WV ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
