“Rachel was wonderful taking care Papi. She was very communicative and treated papi very well. He became attached to her children which was typical of Papi. I definitely recommend her as a sitter and will be looking to have her take him again.”

“Summer took great care of Lemmy! We got regular photos, she did a great job with his meds, and she was very patient with us in our first time using Rover. Summer, her family, and her own pets were great to our temperamental little chihuahua. Can’t thank her enough!”

“Madison was great. She kept me informed on how Milo was doing. Milo had an awesome time with her. I will definitely be using her again. She treated Milo like one of her own.”

“Stephanie and her family took great care of our young and energetic puppy that required many potty breaks. She sent pictures and updates every day so we knew what and how our puppy was doing.”

“You will never find anywhere a sweeter, more kind caregiver for your furbaby than Brenda. She is so much more now to Ruby and myself. SHE IS OUR FRIEND. Ruby’s “stay-cations” are as relaxing and fun for her as my trips are for me. WIN WIN. How often does that happen in life??!! Thank you Brenda for peace of mind.♥️♥️”

“Kimberly was great! She was communicative from the get go and flexible when a mishap on our trip and caused some delays. Hank enjoyed his stay very much, and we will definitely be using her again!”

“Thank you so much for sending me pictures of Smokey to assure me that he is doing alright with you. It was his first time staying with a stranger and I’m so glad it worked out so well!!!”

“First time that Laura kept Moose…..it was short notice, but she obliged. She communicated very well, and it was a wonderful first experience. Thanks, and I highly recommend Laura!!”

“Josie took this booking REALLY last minute (like 6 am day of) after we got delayed flying home. She stopped in before she went to work and made sure everyone had food and was okay. Her flexibility to fit this into her schedule was wonderful and helped us out so much. We love her taking care of our cats and the cats love her even more!”

“This was our first time leaving our sweet puppy behind for a vacation. Destiney and Ben made the experience an absolute breeze. Stewie took to them right away and they treated him to a vacation of his very own all week long. They sent detailed daily updated with tons of pictures, and they even did a little puppy craft with him! 5 stars is not enough. I give them a 10/10. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve lived on a farm my whole life and have taken care of pets and livestock my whole life. Over the past years, I have taken care of neighbors, friends, and family member’s dogs/cats. I have two dogs myself, a 4 year old red heeler and a 13 week old red heeler/corgi (cowboy corgi). I grew up with Labrador retrievers and a Great Pyrenees/Catahoula Leopard mix. I am used to and comfortable with all sizes and ages of dogs! I am originally from South Dakota and am now in Gallia County with my boyfriend who is from here. I am an online college student who is double majoring in Ag-Finance & Business Accounting. I farm with my boyfriend while completing my schooling online, so I have flexibility in my schedule! I do not live right on the road, and there is lots of room for your fur babies to run around and get exercise! The yard is not fenced in, but I am always outside when the dogs are! I have various sizes of wire kennels available if they need to be caged inside, and also have large kennels outside with shade over top of them. There are horses on the property with pasture room, so I always supervise the dogs in case they get too close. The horses have never tried to stomp or go after any dogs before.

Every sitter has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.
Sitters may also include daily walks in the neighborhood during your dog's boarding stay. You can also request photo and message updates throughout so you can see which local landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.
If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Milton home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Milton.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Milton sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WV ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
