About: Animals have always been a constant source of comfort and joy in my life. From the time I was born, I’ve been surrounded by pets—starting with cats, then adding a cheerful bird to the mix, and later sharing my home with multiple dogs and even a reptile. I've also had experience watching over friends and family members pets while they are away. Each experience has deepened my understanding of different animal personalities and how to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Caring for pets comes naturally to me. I’m attentive to their routines, responsive to their needs, and committed to providing a calm, nurturing environment while their owners are away. With a career in graphic design, I work fully remote, which means I have the flexibility to give plenty of time, attention, and care to your pets and home. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, keeping up with routines, and administering medications, I make sure pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I do not offer house sitting in my own home. When house sitting for others, I take detailed notes on expectations, requirements and rules to ensure that your fur baby and your home are being cared for at the fullest capacity. Daily check-ins are provided, and i'm more than willing to do anything additional to ensure that you feel at peace while you are away.

About: I have been caring for my 13 year old dog, Molly, for 11 years. I am also an active volunteer at the county animal shelter, working with dogs (1,000+ hours) and cats (400+ hours). I have a special place in my heart for dogs with behavioral and medical needs, and working with them at the shelter has taught me patience and skills that help to make the animals more comfortable. I also have training in puppy care, senior dog care, walking leash-sensitive dogs, and caring for injured animals. The time I get to spend with dogs is the most fun I have doing anything, and I take a lot of pride in caring for them with the appropriate level of attention and patience they need. I work remotely and have a flexible schedule, so I am available to walk and care dogs at a variety of hours. The length of walks is up to you and your dog-- I am happy to do short walks or longer outings depending on what you need! I am happy to refer you to references (animal shelter staff and volunteers) who can attest to my dog-handling skills and my ability to work with dogs from a variety of backgrounds. The safety of your pet and your home always come first, and I am very comfortable taking any steps needed to ensure that everything goes smoothly.

About: I have loved cats and dogs forever and have had cats for 25 years. I have taken care of friends’ dogs and cats since I was a teenager. I am kind, and will treat your beloved pet like my own. My cat passed away last year and I am not yet ready for a permanent addition to my home. I am working full-time, however I have hybrid schedule. In the summer I work one day in the office and the rest from home. During the rest of the year I work three days a week in the office and two days from home, however, I can make flexible arrangements as well, I live in an apartment on a quiet street and about a 10 minute walk to the beach. I have a litter box, toys and scratching post for cats. I have food bowls, soft blankets as well.

About: Caring for animals has always been part of my life. I grew up surrounded by pets of all kinds, including dogs, cats, birds with feathers, fish with fins, and even those with scales. That early exposure gave me a deep comfort and appreciation for animals of every personality and species. I am recently retired, which gives me the flexibility to be fully present and available for pet care when needed. My schedule allows me to accommodate walks, drop-ins, overnights, and extended stays without the constraints of a traditional workday. This flexibility means your pets receive consistent attention, timely care, and a calm, unhurried presence while you are away. When caring for pets in my home, they become part of an active, dog-friendly neighborhood with plenty to explore. I live just 1.5 blocks from the beach and close to great walking spots like Arana Gulch, the park at the end of Schwan Lake, and a nearby dog park only minutes away. Dogs in my care enjoy fresh air, fun walks, and plenty of playtime balanced with calm downtime at home. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on maintaining their normal routines so they feel safe and comfortable in familiar surroundings. For cats, I generally prefer in-home care, as I find they are happiest and most relaxed in their own space, and it helps avoid unnecessary stress for them and unexpected scratching for my furniture. No matter the setting, I care for every pet with genuine love, attention, and respect for their individual needs.

About: I have been caring for animals all of my life. I have pet/house sat for many friends, family members and neighbors throughout my life. I am told that I bring a soothing, calm presence that puts both humans and animals at ease. I deeply love animals. I am a naturally neat person so I will also keep your home clean and bring in mail, water plants, etc. I am highly responsible and retired from doing hospice work. I do grief support remote work on a part time basis. I am in great health, a meditator since high school and highly experienced in caring for all types of pets. If you choose me to care for your beloved pets and home, I will make sure that they feel safe, comfortable and nurtured and will give them all the play, exercise and attention they desire. I am local so am able to meet with you beforehand to ensure it is a good fit. I work remotely using my own phone on a part time basis providing grief support to people so I can accept pet/house sitting gigs. I can physically be there to help your animal companions feel safe and secure while you are away. I am specifically looking for housesitting/petsitting gigs. In a client's home, I make sure that I adhere to the schedule already set by the owners. I find that this helps animals with anxiety about their human companions being away. I also provide calm, loving presence which helps them feel comfortable and secure. I take them for walks, play, snuggle, basically whatever they do regularly with their humans. But I also respect boundaries, for instance, I snuggle with pets only if they initiate it and/or are into it. I deeply love animals and can easily tune into their needs and wants.

“Jonathan was awesome! He took great care of our dogs while we had a fun weekend in Tahoe. He took incredible pictures and updated us frequently. The dogs were instantly comfortable with him and snuggled right in. They went for plenty of walks and the dogs were happy and tired when we returned home. Jonathan was really great about asking questions and following special instructions for our dog Otis, as he is recovering from TPLO surgery. The house was also quite clean and orderly upon our return. I will definitely be asking Jonathan to come hang out with our dogs again!”
