I was a Middle School Science Teacher for 13 years and have transitioned to remote work. I’m currently renting out my house in Portland Oregon, living nomadically in my built out sprinter van with my husband and two dogs Rue and OSA. We are currently traveling to different areas and accepting Rover house/dog sitting gigs, walks and drop in visits as we work remotely. My dogs are super friendly and love to play with others. I joined Rover in 2016 and have many repeat clients that I work with year round. My husband is a real estate agent and works with clients all over Oregon and California. I have had a multitude of dog care experiences throughout my life and have over 25 years of experience caring for dogs. I grew up with 4 dogs. I fed, watered, groomed, walked and cared for a Maltese, Cocker Spaniel, Doberman Pinscher and a Queensland Heeler from the time I was 8 until I went off to college to U.C. Santa Cruz. During my time at College I house and dog sat for my college mentor. She had a Black Lab. I would take care of her dog and house anywhere from a few days to a week at a time. I have since pet/house sat for many friends and their families as well as for clients on Rover. I truly love animals and would be so excited to provide excellent care to any animal in my charge. I am an extremely active individual and love being outside. I am an ex-rugby and soccer player and am use to rough and tumble activities so caring for strong active dogs is no problem. I love to go hiking and mountain biking and would appreciate the opportunity to bring a 4 legged companion along. My dogs Rue and Osa always accompany me and my husband on adventures. I adore all animals and I treat my pets as if they were my children. You can trust that your pet will be given the attention, affection, exercise and care they need and want.
