“Jessica was wonderful with our anxious pup. He unexpectedly got sick while we were away and took on the responsibility of giving him his medication. Very trustworthy & caring. I highly recommend her.”

About: I don't know that I have any special skills to offer as I'm just starting out as a professional pet sitter, but I've spent my life caring for our family pets. From rescues to pure breds, from bottle feeding babies to slow moving incontinent old seniors, we've loved too many cats or dogs for me to count. We've also had cockatiels, a parrot, a rat, hamsters, (also bred them,) a turtle, chickens and ducks, tropical and salt water fish. Most importantly, I am peaceful, mellow and can earn your pets trust and I can follow your directions. I work on Signal Mountain and I live in Pikeville. I'm a school bus driver so that leaves me 5 hours of free time to visit with your pets. I can do over-nights with preplanning and acceptable accommodation, if we can make it fit with my work schedule. I like to get the work done first and then sit and rest and spend time with pets but of course I will first build trust with your pets before I barge in their home. I have some mobility challenges so long walks or hard pulls on a leash are best suited for another sitter but if you have a baby who just wants to be close, be held, not be alone, they will love me. Pets have a way of gravitating to my side or lap. Something about my demeanor tells them I am safe.
“This is the second booking that I’ve had with Kari and will continue to book if she’s available. She’s fantastic, has great communication and is proactive. I refer to her as Aunt Kari to the cats. ♥️”

“Jordan was great with our dogs! We’ve got an anxious boy and he took to her immediately. She was attentive to them and kept us up to date with any concerns. 10/10 would recommend!”

“JaNiya did an awesome job checking in on my Diesel! She was always on time and communicated very well! I loved the pictures and video she sent me to reassure my Diesel was in good hands! I will definitely use JaNiya again! Thx JaNiya! Great job!”

“What a blessing Gregory has been to us and our kitties. You can be sure that this is the person we will ask for the next time we go out of town, for he dealt with having multiple kitties to care for beautifully. We had never used Rover before, and had a terrible experience with someone in the neighborhood just not showing up to take care of our kitties, so getting the updates, the pictures, was true piece of mind. He even alerted us to an issue we had with our irrigation system, outdoors! Amazing.”

“Sydney did an amazing job taking care of Ginger. Ginger is really a hard nut to Crack and she was able to get her to go on walks. You won't find a better person to care for your dogs!”

“Dominique was wonderful. Ended up having some winter weather while we were away and she literally walked to our house to make sure Bodie was taken care of. Will definitely use again!”

About: I’ve raised my Old English Sheepdog since he was a puppy, so I know firsthand how much love and patience dogs need at every stage of life. From playful pups to dogs who need a little extra care, I’m comfortable handling it all. I’m especially experienced with big breeds and dogs with allergies, so I’m used to giving meds, keeping routines, and making sure pups feel happy and safe. I’ll treat your dog like family and give them the same love and attention I give my own. I’m currently a student and have a part time job but I’m looking for something with more flexibility and that keeps me more active too. I can care for your pet in your home and area. I can provide walks, playtime, and attention while your pet stays in a familiar, comfortable environment. I focus on keeping routines consistent, giving lots of love and attention, and making sure your furry friend feels safe and happy while you’re away.
“Erin and George are the best! It gives us such peace of mind to know our pups are in good hands when we are out of town. I loved receiving pics of our dogs while we’re away. We will definitely use them again!”

“Huntter is absolutely fantastic!!! He came over before the visit to walk through everything and meet the kitties. He is very smart and easy to talk to, and picked up on all of our routines and instructions very easily. When it came time for the trip, Huntter was incredibly punctual and communicative. He sent pics, took amazing care of our cats, and also some various other things our house needed while we were gone for a week. We came home to everything looking perfect, and most importantly, two very happy healthy kitties! We HIGHLY recommend Huntter and we are so thankful for the wonderful care for Peach and Ripple!”

“Caroline showed up on time and spent the full 30 minutes with our pups. She followed our instructions and sent updates throughout the stay. She was a great help and we will definitely use her again in the future!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Signal Mountain
We had a great experience with Katie when we were out of town for a week and she was stopping by the house 3x a day to look our three cats. We had no problems at all, she showed up when she said she would and sent enough updates to know everything was going well without overloading us. Next time we head on a trip, we will be happy to use her again.
Sarah took such great care of our dogs and cats while we were out of town! She clearly took her time and was very thorough in ensuring that each pet was cared for and happy. The pictures she sent were so reassuring and showed us just how comfortable everyone was with her. We will absolutely be asking Sarah for help with pet-sitting whenever we need it in the future! Thank you!

Nicole did such an outstanding job taking care of my cat while I was across the country for a wedding. It gave me such peace of mind while away to know that my cat was safe, fed, and loved on while under her care. She even went the extra mile for me and left out some food for a family of stray kittens that live under my house. I will definitely be rebooking Nicole in the future and would recommend her to anyone! Thank you, Nicole!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
