About: What sets me apart? You'll have to tell me that since I'm just beginning my pet sitting journey. I suppose I would say, I am calm, mellow, laid back, and that sets pets at ease. I have administered medication, I'm very efficient and clean about litter clean up and will follow dietary guidelines directed by you. We can play with toys or I can give a nice brushing or I can just sit with them and take a nap. Speaking of naps.. I work a split shift on Signal but live in Pikeville. It makes no sense for me to drive home in between shifts. (I know it's crazy, but it works for my family.) That means I am trying to find something to do with myself, or more importantly a warm enough or cool enough location to spend my 4.5 hour break each day. If my limited availability, (weekdays between 9:30am and 1:30pm,) will work for you, and I am welcome to make myself comfortable in your home, (use a bathroom, sit on a comfortable chair and put my feet up, or betteryet, lie down and take a nap,) I won't charge you for care at all. We'll be exchanging my need for a place to rest with your need for someone to check on your pet. It makes sense in my head. I respect if you think it's crazy. But hopefully you'll remember me if you can't find anyone who's available for that random day when you need someone to drop in.

About: I’ve been rescuing animals since I could talk: dogs, cats, Guinea pigs, lizards, turtles, anything with a pulse lol. I am a veterinary social worker with a passion in the animal human bond. She really helped me out of a jam—two jams, actually—when she accepted my last-minute booking (like, basically 24 hours notice) when my other sitter canceled for an emergency, AND she VERY generously agreed to watch my dog for an extra night when I was stuck overnight at a the airport. Amber shared daily photos and videos and other updates. She’s both proactive and quickly responsive. Will happily trust her to watch my pup anytime. But for my sake, please just…find someone else 🙏🏻”
About: All my life, I have been around dogs. I currently have a sweet boy, Winston, who is a Pit Mix. I’ve had several different dogs over the years and have assisted family and friends with pet care. I also have previous work experience with a pet boarding and grooming facility in Baton Rouge. From having experience in a professional setting and having experience caring for pets at home, I find the at home care to be much more comfortable for the pet- which is why I decided to register here! I love making the pets and their owners feel as comfortable as possible. A personal touch- I like to take funny/cute pictures of what we do and send them to you once I’ve completed the service! I currently have two dogs that I watch for my mother. When I am in town, this looks like walks every afternoon and evening, frequent play time, and feedings. I love to make sure they are happy- whether that’s running around outside, long play time, some chill TLC, or even a few extra treats ;)
