I have a PhD in anthropology from Texas A&M university. In graduate school I studied monkeys and then transitioned to studying pollen! Now I teach online and analyze pollen for bee keepers so I have a super flexible schedule! I have been house sitting / pet sitting off and on since I was 16. I am experienced with dogs, cats, horses, and rabbits. I’m 35 years old and understand how important trust is in taking care of your pets. I also understand what it means to be professional. We had a great experience with Katie when we were out of town for a week and she was stopping by the house 3x a day to look our three cats. We had no problems at all, she showed up when she said she would and sent enough updates to know everything was going well without overloading us. Next time we head on a trip, we will be happy to use her again.
Katie rocks! She took the best care of our two fur babies, one senior and one rambunctious two year old. She has a great set up with a big fenced in yard, and a friendly pup of her own who played so well with both of our dogs who have opposite play styles. We highly recommend her, and would love to book with her again!
I highly recommend Katie and Cedar! Jake just spent four nights with them and although he was glad to see me, he was very happy and comfortable with them! They have a fenced in backyard and Jake absolutely loved running and chasing cedar who was a lot of fun to be with and likes to play. Katie is a sweetheart and I have a lot of confidence in her abilitie to keep Jake safe, AND that he would enjoy being with them. Jake is excited to have a new place to go and stay. Thank you!
Katie was great. My dog was really missing us and not eating very well and she went above and beyond to make sure she ate.
This was my first time leaving my furbabies with anybody but family. She was wonderful! Katie sent me pictures and kept me updated. She also left me sweet note at the end! I highly recommend her but sad she is moving!
Katie was great! She was available last minute, flexible with our needs, and patient with our nervous pup. We will definitely be booking with her again.

Schedule
I am currently working part time so I just need a reliable internet connection to answer emails and sometimes a table to look at pollen on my microscope. Aside from that my schedule is very flexible and can work around your pets needs!

I’m super adaptable and try to keep your pets routine the same as when you are home. I try to eliminate as many new variables as possible so they feel comfortable with me more quickly.

A typical day
I love going on walks and hikes if your dog is up for it. I’m excellent at throwing a ball or pulling a feather around for a cat. I also love naps so if your pet likes naps I’m your gal!
