“This was my first trip away from my pup for a few days and didn’t quite know what to expect. Jeanette was excellent. She arrived a few minutes before scheduled times everyday, and going off the pictures she sends you can tell she really cares. I would definitely recommend if you want your pup just as happy when you come back as when you left.”

“Was gone for 6 days and Sarah took great care of my kitties, going above and beyond. She sent lots of pictures and updates. Will definitely rebook in the future. Thank you again!”

“I asked Sara to help me socialize my adopted, shelter dog. So, instead of a typical drop in, I was present for the visit. Sara was very patient and friendly with my dog and she knew exactly how to interact with her (get down low, avoid eye contact, continously give her treats, and let my dog approach her while telling her what a good girl she is). I was so relieved that I didnt have to explain all of that to her. My dog is so loving and affectionate but is super slow to trust people, but she was taking treats out of Sara's hand immediately. I have asked her to come back, so my dog can get to know the same person before introducing her to more people. I am confident that her and my dog will become great friends.”

“She was always on time and easy to communicate with. Great with my feline and left in-app notes to let me know how the visit went if there were any issues/concerns. Def recommend to others!”

“This is the second booking that I’ve had with Kari and will continue to book if she’s available. She’s fantastic, has great communication and is proactive. I refer to her as Aunt Kari to the cats. ♥️”

“Nicole was fantastic!! My cat adored her and she made sure to keep him fed and play with him 🥹 She was very communicative and kept in touch with me the entire time! She was also very respectful of the apt and turned on our faucets during a freeze warning. I could not recommend her more, she is amazing!!”

“We really appreciate Huntter always taking such amazing care of our kitties and our house! He's so excellent at all the details! I've left so many 5 star reviews for him already, but I'll say it again: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!”

“Jordan was absolutely amazing! I needed a last minute sitter to help me while I was in town and she answered me so quickly. Called and well and provided excellent care. It really gave me such a peace of mind!”

About: I've been around pets since I was 11 and love bonding with them! I take care of cats and dogs of any size and any age, and I often sit for family members! I worked at an animal hospital for 2.5~ years and have experience with medicating/bathing pets as well. I'm free most of the time so I make myself available often. I'm happy to prioritize your pets attention and needs however you like. When staying the night with a family member's dogs, I'll wake up early to feed them and let them use the bathroom. I'm punctual with feeding times, med times, and I make time to play too.
“Greg is a superstore. Great guy. Loves animals. And he even got my dog to like him and my dog doesn’t like ANYBODY… Except me, and now Greg. I’m sure Woody is looking forward to the next time and we are looking forward to the next time when we have to trust somebody with our 16-year-old four leggedroommate!”

“Rachel did a wonderful job taking care of our cat and keeping us updated while we were out of town! She is very sweet and makes leaving your fur babies behind a little easier. Highly recommend!”

“Taylor is absolutely amazing! Having a dog from the shelter can be challenging.. especially making new friends and pet sitters. So glad my girl loves Taylor! She always sends pictures and always lets us know how she is doing. We have used her for doggy walks, and overnight, we are so happy and grateful for all that Taylor does!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Alpine Heights
Journey is the first sitter in nearly 8 years my unpredictable cat was actually comfortable with. She was able to pet/ cuddle with Slinky each day and that made my time away SO much better. Great photos/ records. Responsive to instructions. Hope to have her back!

We are thankful to Laura that she was able to help us out in such a hurry especially since our usual sitter was unavailable. We were so happy to have Laura watch our shy kitties and also some of our foster cats we had. She was so great with communicating and updating us. She is so sweet and will love to book with her again when we need more help.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Alpine Heights. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
