“John and Michelle did a great job watching our little pups. They were responsive and friendly, and they walked our dogs frequently. Would definitely use again!”

“My fur babies came home happy and tired. Perfect! I was able to enjoy my vacation knowing Buster and Sipsy were in good hands. Nantikan will be my go to for all my future petsitting needs.”

“Highly recommend! April was very responsive from booking, through dog sitting & prior to pick up. She sent us pictures and kept us updated on how Bruno was doing. We knew he was well watched & kept busy because he napped a long while after picking him up.”

“Aubrey took very good care of our dog. When we picked him up he obviously came to us but kept looking what she was doing and wagging his tale when she approached him - always a good sign! 🙂 we received daily updates and pictures and felt he is in a very good place. Yard is awesome for dogs and her dog is very friendly too! Highly recommended!!!”

“Kelsey and Conor took great care of Rosie! Kelsey was so nice to communicate with and responded quickly to messages. Her dogs were so friendly and greeted Rosie so kindly right away! I would definitely book with Kelsey and Conor again. They made me feel like my dog was one of their own!”

“John gave our dog, Archie, wonderful care from the moment we dropped him off. He and his wife both love and understand dogs and knew how to ease and welcome Archie into their home. We received frequent updates with photos. Our dog was happy and well cared for. We highly recommend John if you’re looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter who will give your pet an excellent home away from home experience.”

“Shannon is excellent! She cared for our dog (overnight) like one of her own. Our pup got so much love and attention. We received lots of updates and photos. I highly recommend Shannon!”

“Dierdre took great care of my dog, Baxter, from April 24–May 5. She sent frequent photo updates, and he was clearly happy and well cared for. Her family was warm and welcoming, and Baxter even bonded with their dog. Highly recommend her as a sitter.”

“Kristen and her family was very welcoming to my baby Oreo. The communication was both prompt and clear. She sent many pictures of Oero the whole time. I definitely would recommend her. And hopefully we can use her again.”

“Adrianna was great. She kept in touch with a handful of photos over the two weeks she was sitting for me and she feel in love with my Chloe. If we need a sitter in the future I wouldn't hesitate to use her again.”

“My two dogs had a great time with Stacey. I was nervous because my one dog barks a lot on leash and hasn’t been for a doggy sleepover in 3 years- Stacey relieved my anxiety. I got pictures and updates. I got stuck in traffic and had changed both my drop off time and pick up time and Stacey was super accommodating. Highly recommend!”

“Stephanie was great - we did a meet and greet and then had our kiddos with her for the weekend. They came back happy and tired from all the fun. She was communicative and super friendly. Will absolutely book her again. Thanks Stephanie!”
“Katie was great with my Simba. He's a big dog, but she was completely comfortable with him. He was so happy in her home for the three nights that he stayed. Everything went smoothly. Katie kept me updated with how he was doing and sent photos of him daily. Thank you Katie!! It was a relief to not have to worry about him while we were away.”

“If I could give her 10 stars I would. I am very hesitant of who I leave my dog with. Roxann made me feel comfortable and eased my anxiety. My dog is on antibiotics and she had so problem at all giving her her meds and making sure she was happy. She would update me multiple times a day and send pictures. My dog is house broken but idk why she had an accident in the house and I as an owner was so embarrassed but Roxann did not make me feel bad about it at all. I would recommend her to anyone. I have used this app twice before and never left a review and never felt like my dog was being treated just the way I treat her, but she was! I am definitely going to use her again! Thanks Roxann!”

“Lisa has been the best dog sitter we've ever met. When she's watching our pup, we can truly relax because we know how much she shows affection and attention to our fluffy baby. She's super attentive to his needs. We are so happy to have found her.”
“Alyssa and Marcus are the absolute best! Sam always has a wonderful time with them and Zara! They are his second family and the excitement he has when we pull up to their home is unbelievable. It warms my heart every time.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Sicklerville
I’m so grateful I found her last minute! She was incredibly kind and made Pookie feel comfortable right away. You can tell she genuinely cares about the pets she takes in. She even helped put his harness on before pickup—which is not easy at all with him—so that was such a huge help. I highly recommend her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
