About: Pet owner, pet lover! I have been sitting for friends and family since I was a teen. I also grew up around large dogs. I adopted a staffy mix in 2014 and we had 9 great years together before she passed. I’m not ready to adopt again, so until then, I’d like to help others. I’ve also had a few cats in the past and currently have 2! They are both tolerant of dogs and if they are uncomfortable, they will typically leave the room. My friends will bring their dogs when they visit me and my cats do well. I don’t have a yard per se but there is a lot of open space for frequent walks/potty breaks. My apartment complex is very pet-friendly. I am on the 2nd floor, so there are 2 sets of steps that may make it hard for older dogs. I often do overnights and stay with pets in their own home to maximize their comfort and keep their routines intact. I’m flexible based on your individual needs. One of my interests is in animal behavior. I have read many books (my favorites are from Patricia B. McConnell) My philosophy is we are training everyday. Consistency is important to me and for them, so I will ask many questions during the meet and greet stage to understand their needs and know how to best support you both. I look forward to meeting you both! My schedule is determined by the pets in my care and their schedules. I am currently freelance with WFH tasks and gig work and schedule my other jobs around my pet care calendar. I live in a pet-friendly apartment complex with lots of open space to walk. With me, your pup will have 24/7 one-on-one attention. They are allowed on the furniture and will always be supervised. I also have room to set up a crate if they are crate-trained but most of the time they will play and hangout where I am. I have 2 cats that do well with dogs. The cat food is raised off the floor and litter boxes are located in the main living space and are scooped immediately.

Even now at the age I am we still have dogs we walk them, take them outside every couple hours and feed them twice a day I have a passion for animals. Pet care is already part of my daily routine. I like to take dogs to the park, go jogging with dogs, belly rubs, hugs and playful affection. I like making dogs feel important, so they know they matter. If they need a bathing that is extra, but I will clean your dog thoroughly after playtime. If, you want me to take your dog to the park, I love doing walks and runs in the park with your fur baby! Get all the extra energy out, so when you come home they are well satisfied and content. I have a house and a yard. Yard is not fully fenced in yet, but currently working towards fixing it or getting a new fence. My house is dog proof to keep all fur babies safe and happy, but there are always other options available to keep your dog as comfortable as possible. My two boys were happy here. From the meet and greet I could tell there was good energy at Michelle’s. My 2 boys responded positively immediately to Michelle and her dogs. My youngest dog whom had never experienced anything like this before, and is usually standoffish around new people, instantly walked right up to Michelle like he had known her for a while. It took 2 years for him to warm up to my parents. It was a comfort to my wife and I that this was the first interaction. My family and I enjoyed the photo updates Michelle would send periodically while we were away. I picked them up and they were in just as good spirits as when we dropped them off. I kinda get the impression they were a little sad to leave if I’m being honest. I will definitely be using Michelle again as long as she is doing it and she is available when we need a sitter.
Isis was amazing at communicating since our meet and greet! Her prices were reasonable and her schedule really helped keep our mind at ease knowing Louie wouldn’t be lonely. She kept us updated with pictures throughout his stay. We picked Louie up and he was excited to see us but just as excited to see Isis when she grabbed his things. We easily could tell he loved spending time with her. Will definitely be rebooking for our next vacation!
