About: I Have a whole lot of love and patience to give when you cant be with your fury companion. I have had dogs for 25 years (lost my longtime ones of 14/16 years old years back) and Because my heart still yearned to wanting to provide that love and quality of life every animal deserves, I turned to dog sitting and rescue/foster. I want your pet to feel comfortable in their surroundings and will cater to the life they typically lead when with you(laying w me, play time ,walks, treat time, med administer, etc). When your fur baby leaves, I want them to leave happy and waiting for their next return. For the most part I only take 1 Dog at a time. I will always have my 4.5 year old Terrier mix Female. She is 11 pounds. (Very love able and low key. She was a “foster fail” who We just couldn’t part with. She fairs well w smaller, low key dogs). I will also consider caring for caged small birds/animals as I have done so for clients. It will be an extra $5-$10 per day. I Always send updates and pics while in my care. As an adult I have dogs, cats, chickens, horses, and alpacas - all of which live with me on my small farm. I have experience with giant breed dogs and higher energy dogs. I adopted a staffy mix in 2014 and we had 9 great years together before she passed. I’m not ready to adopt again, so until then, I’d like to help others. My friends will bring their dogs when they visit me and my cats do well. I don’t have a yard per se but there is a lot of open space for frequent walks/potty breaks. My apartment complex is very pet-friendly. I am on the 2nd floor, so there are 2 sets of steps that may make it hard for older dogs. I often do overnights and stay with pets in their own home to maximize their comfort and keep their routines intact. I’m flexible based on your individual needs. One of my interests is in animal behavior. I have read many books (my favorites are from Patricia B. McConnell) My philosophy is we are training everyday. I work part time remotely. So my schedule is flexible. I walk my dog 4 times a day. If I am away for prolonged time my neighbor checks in on and walks if needed. I am in a 1st floor condo. There is plenty of outside walking spaces. My neighbors also do Rover dog care and all our neighbors help to check and walk each others dogs if needed. I have a small senior Pomeranian Poodle that is very good with other dogs. I am fine if your furbaby prefers to be on couch. I provide lots of playtime and snuggle time.
