“Yajaira and her family was so good to my fur baby! She kept me updated with text, pictures, and accommodated my fur baby in every way to make him feel at home. Thank you for giving M’baku a home away from home during the holidays.”

“I had to leave my dog Leroy with Aubrey for a few days in September, and was very pleased with the care she provided. She has a spacious home with a fenced-in back yard for dogs to run around. Her Border Collie Ollie seems to intuitively understand how to get along with other dogs, and was a very nice companion for Leroy's stay. I would definitely rebook with Aubrey.”

“My two girl had a wonderful time with Ashley and her family. My Roxy sometimes takes a long time to warm up to people and is a good judge of character, and took to the family very easy. The kids there are very well behaved and gentle with the dogs. The perfect best option, for someone to take care of my babies. I am so glad I found Ashley and her family.”

“David and Phyllis were wonderful in accommodating our unique situation and went above and beyond to make sure Cassie felt comfortable in their home. Communication was excellent—not only with us but also with our friend who had been caring for Cassie during the month. They kept us well informed and made sure we received updates on how Cassie was doing, which gave us great peace of mind. We truly appreciated their kindness, flexibility, and the loving care they gave Cassie.”

“Mónica did a great job watching our elderly greyhound. A lot of updates and photos while we were away allowed us to enjoy our trip knowing our old girl was in good hands. Mónica has a great yard and home set up for dog care, and her family really loves dogs. Very happy with the care our dog received.”

“Hali did an amazing job taking care of my fur baby, Butter! Butter can sometimes be anxious in new environments and around new people, and he needs time to adjust before getting comfortable. Hali was extremely caring and understanding of his need to acclimate and was very patient and attentive to his needs. Throughout Butter’s stay, she kept me updated with regular check-ins and photos, which gave me peace of mind knowing that he was comfortable and in great hands. I highly recommend Hali to anyone who is looking for a caring and attentive caretaker for their fur babies!”

“Our Goldendoodle stayed with Denise for a week and was well cared for. You could tell that she had a great time just with the way she interacted with Denise and the other dogs that were there. It was all wags :)”

“Stephanie was the perfect choice to take care of Merlin for our long vacation! She was extremely thorough and thoughtful with her questions and updates. It gave us peace of mind to know that she had every aspect of Merlin’s care under control while we were away!”

“Twizzler had another wonderful stay with Bridget! From all the pictures and updates I received, I could see how happy and content he was throughout his vacation. It truly warms my heart knowing that my boy is so comfortable and well-cared for with Bridget. I am so grateful to have found someone I can trust completely with my boy . Highly recommend!”

“I appreciate Kristen’s care for my dog, Panda, during a recent trip. I loved the photos she sent and the frequent updates. Panda was happy and relaxed during his stay. I highly recommend Kristen for boarding. Thank you!”

About: I am very good with dogs, because I pay attention to their body language. Dogs communicate through their eyes, body and barks. Similar to a person using sign language. Most communication is non-verbal and I definitely pay attention and make sure I treat every furry friend with respect and love. Dogs have feelings and like to socialize in healthy environments and that is what they will get with me as your dog sitter and / or dog walker. I will take your dog walking, I will check-in on your dog and play ball or tug of war with them, if that is what they like to do, I will provide water refills and food refills, even mix food upon request and follow instructions specific to your dog's need. I like to take dogs to the park, go jogging with dogs, belly rubs, hugs and playful affection. I like making dogs feel important, so they know they matter. This way, they feel happy and fulfilled while you are working or away on vacation, or away for that day or moment running errands. I am currently an entrepreneur. Trying to start my own pet business. Served, previously in the United States Air Force. Used to have an emotional support dog for 14 years who is no longer with us due to old age and health problems. That was my peace and joy who helped me through difficult times in my life. I actually feel happy spending time with dogs. Running with dogs, playing ball with dogs, training dogs, walking dogs, dog sitting and playing, cuddles and hugs! I make dogs feel important because they are our fur babies who deserve the best life can give them! I will give your dog fresh water, food, medication; if necessary, pay attention to their body language to figure out what they need from me to feel more comfortable and supported. If you have instructions or a routine I will follow those set of guidelines. I will keep all owners well informed with updated photos and possible videos on how their fur babies are doing! If they need a bathing that is extra, but I will clean your dog thoroughly after playtime. If, you want me to take your dog to the park, I love doing walks and runs in the park with your fur baby! Get all the extra energy out, so when you come home they are well satisfied and content. I have a house and a yard. Yard is not fully fenced in yet, but currently working towards fixing it or getting a new fence. My house is dog proof to keep all fur babies safe and happy, but there are always other options available to keep your dog as comfortable as possible. Depending on the service you hire me for pertaining to your pet.

“Jeslyn was so sweet! She arrived at the car with treats to pick up my pup, and kept her comfortable and was well taken care of. Great communicator, I received plenty of pictures throughout her stay. Will definitely book again!”

“She was amazing with my pup. She was very responsive and sent pics every day. Her daughter was also really lovely with my pup. She was even nice enough to give me a food scoop to take home since mine was lost a while ago. I would definitely recommend”

“Cindy was very flexible with scheduling and allowing Duke to have a meet and greet prior to our scheduled boarding. Cindy also shared photos and videos during the stay.”

“We could not be more pleased with Kara’s care of our dog. This was our first visit and she treated him like part of the family with daily updates and pictures for us. We could not recommend her more. Thanks to her we had a relaxing vacation with no worries.”

“This was my first time leaving my giant baby teddy bear of a pupper Milo for a couple of days while my family and I were traveling. Vanessa was truly an angel and took care of my pup perfectly and sent me pictures and updates throughout the day everyday I was away. I didn’t have to worry one bit while my pupper was with Vanessa. I wouldn’t hesitate to bring Milo over whenever we do need her help. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience, and I haven’t even mentioned how sweet and caring she is. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! :)”

“Christina and her family are the best. The communication throughout the whole weekend that they watched our Auggie Was great He had so much fun that when we went to pick him up he didn't want to come home he wanted to stay and keep playing. I would recommend Christina to anyone that wants the best care for their pups.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Waterford Works
Isis was amazing at communicating since our meet and greet! Her prices were reasonable and her schedule really helped keep our mind at ease knowing Louie wouldn’t be lonely. She kept us updated with pictures throughout his stay. We picked Louie up and he was excited to see us but just as excited to see Isis when she grabbed his things. We easily could tell he loved spending time with her. Will definitely be rebooking for our next vacation!

While we were away on vacation, Kim and Barb took great care of Brewzer at Camp Mimi. They sent us pictures and videos of Brewzer each day, so that we could see he was having such a wonderful time relaxing and roaming their beautiful home and yard. Seeing Brewzer having so much fun and being well taken care of at Camp Mimi, allowed us to have a wonderful and relaxing time on vacation. We will definitely request Kim and Barb to watch Brewzer for our next vacation and highly recommend them for watching your dog.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
