“This was my Milo's 1st time ever being out of our home & with a stranger. I felt like a bad dog-mom leaving him daily and he wasn't too happy about the notion either. Seeing Eileen's patience & affection toward animals & receiving daily pics & videos of my boy all calmed my quills & assured me he was adjusting well & was in great hands.”

About: Pet Care Experience I’ve had the joy of caring for dogs of all ages, from playful puppies to sweet seniors who need a little extra love and patience. I’ve helped with walks, feeding, giving meds, and of course plenty of belly rubs and cuddle time. I treat every dog like they’re my own, making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. What Sets Me Apart I really take the time to get to know each dog’s personality and quirks. Whether it’s helping a puppy learn good habits, supporting an older dog who moves at a slower pace, or sticking to a routine to keep your pup comfortable, I always adjust to what your dog needs. I also pay close attention to little details—like favorite toys, treats, or special instructions—so you can feel at ease knowing your best friend is in caring hands. Since I work from home, I have plenty of flexibility to give your dog the attention they deserve throughout the day. I can easily step away for walks, playtime, or check-ins, and I love having the company of dogs while I work. Whether it’s sticking to a set feeding and potty schedule or adding in some extra cuddle breaks, I’m able to keep your pup’s routine consistent and stress-free. Your dog’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. In my care, I make sure they’re in a secure and pet-friendly environment—free of hazards, with plenty of space to relax and play. I always follow your instructions closely, whether it’s diet, medication, or special routines, so your pup feels right at home. When caring for dogs in a client’s home, I treat the space with the same respect as I would my own. I keep doors locked, routines consistent, and make sure your dog feels safe and loved until you return. Building trust is important to me, so I provide updates, photos, and quick check-ins to give you peace of mind while you’re away.
“We are beyond grateful to have found Kristen to care for our beagle, Annie! She had an incredible week filled with fun, and absolutely loved playing with Piper all week. We can’t recommend Kristen highly enough!”

About: I have taken care of animals all my life. I grew up with small pocket pets (rabbits) and birds. As an adult I have dogs, cats, chickens, horses, and alpacas - all of which live with me on my small farm. I have experience with giant breed dogs and higher energy dogs. I also know how and am comfortable giving medications. I have worked in the animal industry for the last 10 years. Ranging from boarding facilities for dogs and cats to veterinary offices. I also am currently volunteering with my therapy dog and we visit hospitals and schools. I’m currently a stay-at-home mom so my pets are with me all day. I take the dogs out for daily walks as well as other activities. I also have a large fenced in backyard for them to play in. I have a 1-acre fenced in yard for my babies (and yours!) to play in. All of my dogs are friendly and love to play with new friends. I also have cats (strictly indoor), horses, alpacas, and chickens on the property. New friends must be good with all animals as well as children if they are staying in the house. Children and other pets will never be left unsupervised with your fur baby. If I come to your home for care for your fur baby they will be spoiled with lots of attention and love
“Tim came highly recommended, and now I know why! He was so understanding and patient as I navigated having him care for my senior dog, and he was clearly attentive to her. I will be back!”

“Ronon has spent the day with Sam and her adorable pug, Petunia, twice now. Sam has a nice home and yard and a very chill vibe. Ronon was comfortable with her immediately. Ronon has big feelings and separation anxiety, so I'm very picky about who I leave him with. (Also, he has all the hops and can jump a five foot fence. Sam has a very secure yard.) When I pick him up, he is relaxed and happy! I'm very comfortable leaving Ronon with Sam and will definitely be a repeat client.”

“Colin was great! Super patient and willing to work with our sweet girls quirks. Lady Bug came home well regulated and well tired out from her day and we look forward to booking with Colin again.”

About: I’ve owned and cared for cats, dogs, fish, rodents and reptiles for more than 45 years. I would be happy to share the love with your furry (or otherwise) family members too. I currently have a sheepadoodle that loves other dogs and people, so he would love to have a playmate to come and take walks and spend time with us. I currently work from home so I have plenty of freedom to spoil all the pets in my care. I do look after my 3 year old grandson sometimes so getting along with children would be an important quality if your pet should come to stay with me. I have a fenced yard and a very friendly sheepadoodle that gets along with both dogs and cats. We love to go on walks too.

“Ronon came home happy and relaxed from daycare at Sean's place, so I know he had a good time. (He has separation anxiety and big feelings, so if he's been stressed or unhappy when we're apart, it's pretty obvious.) Sean has a great, chill vibe and was very attentive to everything I told him about Ronon before his first visit. I will definitely book daycare with Sean again!”

“Great and I intend to return! Our fur babies got along very well. She took very good care of mine even though hers didn't feel that well. He was still feeling his trip to the vet. I highly recommend!”

“John and Nicole have a lovely home and beautiful backyard and took very good care of my peaches and mango. I would feel very comfortable leaving them there if I go away again. They seem very happy and exhausted!”

About: Going on vacation? Work all day? Have a last minute commitment? Forget overpriced scary kennels! Have me stay with your fur babies in the comfort of their home or in the comfort of mine instead! Whether your fur baby stays with me for a day, a week or longer, you can be confident I will give your dog the best care and love him or her like my own. If you prefer for me to watch your fur babies at your house that is another option I would be more than happy to do! For instance if you have cats or other pets that need sitting at your house or if your dog feels more comfortable in his or her own home. I do charge discounts for multiple dogs! Hello! My name is Lisa. I am 46 years old and a Nuclear Medicine PET/CT Technologist. Currently I am not working so I'm home all day and night. Which means your fur baby will never be left alone. Being in a new environment is stressful and scary enough but being in a new environment all alone is even worse. My mom & twin sister who also love animals dearly live with me so your fur baby will have two more people caring for & loving him or her. There are no kids at my house. Just the three of us. Right now I don’t have any fur babies of my own. Recently my son, Buddy (Beagle), passed away. He was around 15 years old. I'm not sure of his exact age because he was a rescue. I posted pictures of him on my profile so you can see how handsome he was. Buddy was my world. I miss him every second of every day. Not a day goes by that I don't think of him. We were inseparable. When he passed away I was and still am heartbroken. I've never felt as much pain before except when my dad passed away. I know my dad is taking care of Buddy now and I will see them both one day which helps me with the grief. Eventually when I’m ready I want to rescue another dog or dogs but until then I thought that dog sitting would be perfect for me. I've adored animals since I was born. I love them better than people. I love ALL animals! There is no better feeling in the world than caring for and bonding with an animal. I belong and donate to multiple animal charities. I also volunteer at animal adoption & fund raising events. I come from a family of animal lovers. My cousin Ginny has a rescue called Rescue Dogs Rock which is a foster based rescue located in Gloucester County, NJ specializing in rescuing and finding loving, responsible forever families for homeless companion animals, focusing primarily on dogs and puppies of all ages and breeds. As of September 2026, there are 1,974 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Waterford Works. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Waterford Works commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 1,974 sitters in Waterford Works, 86% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
