About: Pet Care Experience I’ve had the joy of caring for dogs of all ages, from playful puppies to sweet seniors who need a little extra love and patience. I’ve helped with walks, feeding, giving meds, and of course plenty of belly rubs and cuddle time. I treat every dog like they’re my own, making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. What Sets Me Apart I really take the time to get to know each dog’s personality and quirks. Whether it’s helping a puppy learn good habits, supporting an older dog who moves at a slower pace, or sticking to a routine to keep your pup comfortable, I always adjust to what your dog needs. I also pay close attention to little details—like favorite toys, treats, or special instructions—so you can feel at ease knowing your best friend is in caring hands. Since I work from home, I have plenty of flexibility to give your dog the attention they deserve throughout the day. I can easily step away for walks, playtime, or check-ins, and I love having the company of dogs while I work. Whether it’s sticking to a set feeding and potty schedule or adding in some extra cuddle breaks, I’m able to keep your pup’s routine consistent and stress-free. Your dog’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. In my care, I make sure they’re in a secure and pet-friendly environment—free of hazards, with plenty of space to relax and play. I always follow your instructions closely, whether it’s diet, medication, or special routines, so your pup feels right at home. When caring for dogs in a client’s home, I treat the space with the same respect as I would my own. I keep doors locked, routines consistent, and make sure your dog feels safe and loved until you return. Building trust is important to me, so I provide updates, photos, and quick check-ins to give you peace of mind while you’re away.
“David did a wonderful job watching my pup! He sent pictures of her everyday along with updates. She seemed very happy when we saw her afterwards. I’d trust him with her again!”

“Zoey had another great vacation with David and Phyllis! We are very grateful for the love and great care they gave her, and they will be our first choice for the future. To be honest, I think Zoey is a little sad to be home and misses them!!”

“Brineydi was excellent- she was very responsive during the planning of our dogs stay with her and was flexible about pick up and drop off times. She sent photos of our dog as well as updates so ensure we knew how our dog was doing. We will definitely book with her again!”

“Archie had a great stay with Janet! Janet helped me with my "separation anxiety" - sent pictures and videos throughout Archie's 4 night stay. Clearly Archie was having a great time - even made friends with other dogs that were also in Janet's care. Thank you Janet and Ken for taking such good care of Archie.”

“Sarah and her family are THE BEST! Hopper has never been so excited to go somewhere. My pup has separation anxiety, so it’s a hard feat to get him comfortable somewhere. After his first time there he recognized their names and zoomed when I told him he was going back! Such peace of mind leaving your dog with someone who loves him.”

About: I grew up having tons of pets including cats dogs etc. I went to high-school majoring in agriculture where I focused on animal science . I just have a natural love for nature and animals. I am currently home full time so I have plenty of flexibility to work with your schedule and give your pet extra care and attention. I have a large fenced in yard so we can run and play in. I do live with one mixed husky who's very friendly and up to Date with his shots. Your pet would be need to be able to get along with other animals and 2 toddlers as well.
“Caitlin was fantastic with our beloved doggie for an overnight stay! Great communication, calm and welcoming energy. Already have our future bookings scheduled with her, and we know our girl will be so happy to return!”

“First time with Aubrey. She was very communicative, sending pics and updates. Addy returned happy, glad to see us, full of joy and energy. Aubrey gave us some great recommendations in regards to training, etc. I highly recommend her for your pup!”

“This was my first time using Rover for pet sitting and Nicole couldn’t have been a better choice! She is well experienced with a wide range of dogs and my dog was immediately comfortable with her. She kept me updated and took great care of my pup. Thanks Nicole!”

About: I am very good with dogs, because I pay attention to their body language. Dogs communicate through their eyes, body and barks. Similar to a person using sign language. Most communication is non-verbal and I definitely pay attention and make sure I treat every furry friend with respect and love. Dogs have feelings and like to socialize in healthy environments and that is what they will get with me as your dog sitter and / or dog walker. I will take your dog walking, I will check-in on your dog and play ball or tug of war with them, if that is what they like to do, I will provide water refills and food refills, even mix food upon request and follow instructions specific to your dog's need. I like to take dogs to the park, go jogging with dogs, belly rubs, hugs and playful affection. I like making dogs feel important, so they know they matter. This way, they feel happy and fulfilled while you are working or away on vacation, or away for that day or moment running errands. I am currently an entrepreneur. Trying to start my own pet business. Served, previously in the United States Air Force. Used to have an emotional support dog for 14 years who is no longer with us due to old age and health problems. That was my peace and joy who helped me through difficult times in my life. I actually feel happy spending time with dogs. Running with dogs, playing ball with dogs, training dogs, walking dogs, dog sitting and playing, cuddles and hugs! I make dogs feel important because they are our fur babies who deserve the best life can give them! I will give your dog fresh water, food, medication; if necessary, pay attention to their body language to figure out what they need from me to feel more comfortable and supported. If you have instructions or a routine I will follow those set of guidelines. I will keep all owners well informed with updated photos and possible videos on how their fur babies are doing! If they need a bathing that is extra, but I will clean your dog thoroughly after playtime. If, you want me to take your dog to the park, I love doing walks and runs in the park with your fur baby! Get all the extra energy out, so when you come home they are well satisfied and content. I have a house and a yard. Yard is not fully fenced in yet, but currently working towards fixing it or getting a new fence. My house is dog proof to keep all fur babies safe and happy, but there are always other options available to keep your dog as comfortable as possible. Depending on the service you hire me for pertaining to your pet.
“5 stars all the way. Our Gunner is old and has terrible anxiety when left alone. Danielle truly went out of her way to make him feel comfortable. She sent us daily pictures and updates which was so appreciated. He looked so comfortable and happy. I would highly recommend Danielle 100%.”

About: Attention to detail. Lots of love to give with kids grown and departed. We believe your animals are just as important as our friends and family. We work from home and have a small havanese dog as well as a small cat. Caring for another pup or two would be no problem at all! We have a fully fenced in back yard. A spacious home that is already dog friendly. And a very safe and beautiful neighborhood. Must be cat friendly. Lots of love and attention to give.

“Leaving a part of your family in the care of a stranger can be very stressful. You want them to be cared for and loved as if they never left home. If you are having to make such a choice please know Samona is where you want them to be. She is very detailed and follows your instructions explicitly. You will receive daily updates and photos. And never worry about the hugs and love....they both provide that in bucket 🪣fulls!! We were so blessed when we found this listing, we have never been happier with the care our girl received. What a relief knowing she was safe getting exercise, and having a good time. They are with the dogs most of the day, playing, and interacting with them and just watching them have fun. They took such special care of Lexi, she fell in love with them all! Lexi loved being outside in the large fenced backyard. She could run or just lay and relax in the sun or shade. But the best part of her days was when she had her two new best friends Bear and Bentley by her side. They are both very well-behaved dogs who enjoy playing and meeting new friends. By dinner, she was so tired from the day she fell fast asleep. Snoring 💤💤 loudly no doubt and even slept through a thunderstorm! I have never felt more comfortable with leaving our girl in the care of anyone else. Just knowing she was not stuffed in a cage for all those days was such a relief, she was having a mini vacation of her own. To be honest I think Lexi dreams of the week she had there. With all the love and fun. Because every so often I swear I see a big smile come upon her face as she sleeps. 🐾🐾 Thank you both so very much for treating our baby as if she was one of your own. We will be back soon.”

About: I love animals of all kinds. I had my own dog for 8 years since it was a puppy. 3 years ago, I adopted a rescued kitten. My daughter and I frequent AWA and Animal Orphanage to meet animals. Your pet will be safe, loved and well cared for with me. I am currently home full-time, so your pet will have my attention all day long. Your pet will accompany me taking a walk on a trail and have a play time in the afternoon outside, weather permitting. I live in a two-story townhouse/condominium with a public yard space on a safe and quiet street. Your pet will have an access to outdoor anytime throughout the day on a leash. I have a cat that is very shy, who won't bother your pet. My child (9 years) loves animals and is very gentle and caring as well.

I can’t stress enough how important it is to feel comfortable leaving your fur baby with someone when you’re on vacation. That being said Jenny and her family took such good care of my puppy Teddy. When I saw the pics each day I could see the love she gives to her fur clients. I had a nice vacation knowing he was living his best life with Jenny. I highly recommend if you need a like home environment Jenny will not let you down. I definitely will only use Jenny in the future. Thanks Jenny Teddy will miss you💙

Probably our fourth stay with Annette and Martin. They are fantastic! Our very active, friendly spaniel loves them and we get pictures and reels that show us just how comfortable and happy he is. Pretty sure he gets so much attention he thinks he's on vacation. I can't see why would use anyone else.

We couldn’t have asked for a better person to care for our dog over the weekend. From the moment we met, we felt completely at ease knowing our furry family member was in such loving and capable hands. We received updates and photos, which made us smile and reassured us that our dog was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. It’s clear that they genuinely love animals and treat them like their own. We came home to a happy, relaxed pup, and that means everything to us. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and dependable dog sitter. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of our dog!

Cecily was amazing! This was my first time boarding my cats so I was extremely nervous going into this & she made the process as stress-free as possible. My plans changed a few times & each time she was very willing to work with me. My boys both seemed to adjust to their time with her easily. She kept in contact with me throughout the entire time & sent pictures daily. My 1 boy won't eat unless I stay with him as he's afraid his brother will steal his food & she was willing to accommodate their needs. I most likely have another trip coming up this summer & I will absolutely use Cecily again, if our schedules align.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
