Lindsey was great! Our cat is a little spicy, but she warmed up to Lindsey quickly, which is a true testament to her calming a sweet nature. She truly cares for the animals she looks after. We will definitely rebook Lindsey in the future!

About: I am a college student home for breaks! I have 3 dogs and 1 cat at home who I love to hang out with and care for. I have done at home care for senior dogs, walks and run around with younger dogs and puppies, cat sitting, and lots in between. I am home for a few weeks in January and lots of time in the summer, so I would love to help with your animals anytime when I am home, especially if you’re headed on any vacations. I care deeply for your animals and will carefully follow any instructions and specific requests you may have. I want to make sure you and your animals are as comfortable as possible while they are in my care, so I am very flexible.

About: I grew up surrounded by 3 dogs all throughout my childhood. I have experience with cats and dogs of all ages as well as rabbits. I have experience in elderly dog care as I had taken care of my elderly dog, helping him stand and ensuring medications were given on time. I have two adoring kittens who I’ve raised from 4weeks old, i’ve had cats all while growing up. I can do deep litter box cleanings if asked. I strive to not only meet your needs and make you happy but also ensure your pet is happy and feels loved under my care. I work early mornings and get out at 2pm at the latest, meaning I have the majority of the day to be able to walk, play, and spend time with your pet(s). We can soak up the sunshine and they’ll always get dinner on time. I love to play with your pets, ensuring they get their energy out and have a good time. I love to go on walks with your dog or play with them in a yard.

About: I’ve had dogs since I was three years old and trained most of them! I often take care of my sisters one year old Pomeranian and take him to the local dog park and on long walks on the nearby trail! With my full time job as an interior designer, I’m free to spend time with your pup on the weekends and on the Mondays or Fridays that I’m working from home! Unfortunately my apartment does not allow dogs but I can care for your pup at your home! I know every pup is different so I can care for her/him according to how you would like :) I love going for walks so I do not mind taking long walks!

Julie.... ohmygosh her and her daughter were lifesavers!! Had my mom’s dog over and Julie was checking in on her. Long story short she was not feeling well and did #2s in nearly every room... Julie was kind enough to not only care for my pets in the chaos and while I was on vacation, but she cleaned up the mess (she did not need to do that!) and ensured that all the pups were feeling comfortable and their needs were taken care of. I cannot thank you and your daughter enough.... I recommend them with 5 stars no doubt!

About: Hey There! I'm Becky. I'm a mother, small business owner, and life-long dog lover. For my entire life I've always had dogs, but a few years my sweet dog crossed the rainbow bridge to doggy heaven. When that happened, my children started asking for a new dog, but I wasn’t quite ready. As an alternative we started helping others with theirs. It’s become an incredible journey for our family, and brings us so much joy! We’re happy to have dogs here for boarding. I only take ONE dog at a time, unless there are multiple dogs coming from the same home that already live together. I have two children (11 & 15) who both love dogs as well. However, my son is nervous around bigger dogs and certain breeds. For this reason, a trial visit is required. Dog sitting has brought an unexpected amount of happiness into our home and family. We get very excited with each new furry friend that we get to love while you’re away. I have a fenced yard and a cozy home. I allowed my dog on the furniture when I had him. I don’t have a crate. Whatever rules apply in your house are what we try to do here. Dogs can run free in my fenced yard or walk on a leash around my neighborhood and in the nearby nature trails. I run a small part-time preschool enrichment program out of my basement, in a separate area where dogs would not have access. During work hours I am generally able let dogs out as needed in a separate fenced area. If you are interested in having your dog stay with us, please feel free to contact me. We would love to provide a safe, happy home away from home for your beloved pet while you're away. Your pet will be treated as if they were our pet. We try our best to make our routines look like yours, creating a safe, happy home away from home. I live in a cute neighborhood abutting conservation land. It is beautiful! We use an organic pest company to keep ticks out of our yard and I keep my home tidy.

About: From my experience growing up with dogs, I will adequately walk, feed, and care for medium-small dogs. I have also provided in-home catsitting services while family-friends are away for up to two weeks at a time (feeding, playing, litter). I'm currently a college student in Fairfield, Connecticut. I'm looking for a job in pet care over school breaks in the summer and between semesters in the winter. I do not take animals into my own home so I do not disturb my family or aging dog, but I will gladly care for your pet in the comfort of your home and walk your dog in your neighborhood.

About: I've lived with animals since I was 11—including 3 cats and a dog—and my mom has always adopted senior pets with medical needs, so I’m used to gentle care, giving medications, and adapting routines for older or anxious animals. I'm calm, quiet, and patient, which makes me a great match for pets that are shy, reactive, or need a soft presence. I respect animals’ boundaries, take their comfort seriously, and genuinely enjoy being around them—whether that means walks, playtime, or just existing together in peace. I'm especially good with cats and have experience with dogs who need space or structure. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine. I have a flexible schedule and prefer part-time work, so I can prioritize animals without feeling rushed. I take my time, move at the pet’s pace, and always make space for their needs. I prioritize calm, quiet, and consistency when coming to clients homes. I respect each animal's space, follow all care instructions exactly, and check in often if something seems off. My goal is to make sure pets feel safe, relaxed, and understood at all times.

About: Hi, I'm Amy! I'm a full-time teacher, lifelong dog owner, and Massachusetts-licensed kennel owner who provides a safe, loving home where dogs are treated like family. With a secure fenced yard, daily walks, and plenty of one-on-one attention, your pup will have a fun and comfortable stay. I’ve cared for animals my entire life, growing up with dogs, cats, horses, and other pets, and I regularly board and care for friends' and neighbors' dogs. I currently have a friendly one-year-old White Cream Retriever, Cooper, who loves other dogs, and two dog-friendly cats. I also recently completed a puppy training class, giving me experience with dogs of all ages and personalities. As an active runner and walker, I can provide plenty of exercise for energetic dogs while also creating a calm, cozy environment for those who prefer to relax. My husband and two responsible late-teen children also love animals, so visiting dogs receive lots of affection and supervision. I take the time to learn each dog's routine and will care for your pet with the same love and attention I give my own. I look forward to welcoming your furry family member into our home! As a full-time teacher and Massachusetts-licensed kennel owner, I have a very flexible schedule during the summer and am available for dog walking, drop-in visits, boarding, feeding, playtime, and companionship. I can often tailor my day to fit your pet's routine, whether that means early morning walks, midday check-ins, or evening visits. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and provide dependable, attentive care tailored to each pet's needs. While I have a few short trips planned throughout the summer, my availability is otherwise wide open, and I'll always communicate any scheduling conflicts well in advance. My goal is simple: to give you peace of mind knowing your pet is safe, happy, and cared for as if they were my own. 🐾 I provide attentive, reliable care for pets both in my home and in my clients’ homes, depending on what works best for each family. Animals have always been a huge part of my life—there has never been a time when I didn’t have cats or dogs to care for. Even during my time in the Peace Corps, I adopted and cared for several cats. Working with animals is something I genuinely love, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. In a client’s home, I make sure to follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. I understand how important consistency is, so I stick to feeding schedules, walk times, and any specific instructions you provide. Whether it’s exercise, playtime, or simply companionship, I make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. If care takes place in my home, I offer a safe and welcoming environment. I have a fenced-in backyard for plenty of outdoor time, as well as a very friendly retriever who loves having company. I’m mindful about introductions and make sure all pets feel comfortable and secure. This past year, I also completed a puppy training course with my own dog, which strengthened my ability to reinforce good behavior, follow training routines, and work patiently with dogs of different temperaments and energy levels. Above all, I pride myself on being dependable and communicative. You can count on me to show up as promised, provide thoughtful care, and keep you updated so you have peace of mind while you’re away.

After bringing home our 8 week old puppy, we found out we’d have to leave him home alone in the crate at 10 weeks old. We were so worried about this, but felt INSTANT relief once we met Lindsey. Lindsey went above and beyond every single day to take care of our Remy. And he loves her sooo much. She even stayed 30 minutes extra one day so that they could sit outside while our apartment building was testing the fire alarms. She genuinely cares about animals and will do the most for your pet! I’m a teacher so I’m on summer break now, but we will 1000% be having her back in the fall to walk Remy again. Please don’t hesitate to book with Lindsey… she’s the best!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Sherborn choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Sherborn with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
