“Chris was wonderful! The boys absolutely loved him. We have a stronger/less leash trained GSD I was worried about and he had no issues. He even set up a water station along the walk route to make sure they were well hydrated!”

“It was great having Michael walk Bromley again. He was able to come last minute and help walk our dog to get him out of the house while movers were here. Would highly recommend him! Punctual and kind: our dog walked away from our house with him like they were old friends!”

About: I grew up surrounded by animals and have hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats. From daily feedings and cleaning to exercise, play, and routine check-ins, I’ve been trusted by family, friends, and neighbors to care for a wide variety of pets with different needs and temperaments. Growing up around both household and farm animals taught me responsibility, consistency, and how to read animal behavior across species. I take a calm, attentive approach and always prioritize safety, routine, and genuine care, treating every pet as if they were my own. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, and I’m able to be flexible depending on your pet’s needs and available anytime, especially during holidays. I prioritize consistency, timely visits, and making sure each pet gets quality attention rather than feeling rushed. I’m reliable with routines like feeding times, walks, playtime, and check-ins, and I communicate clearly if anything ever changes. Whether your pet needs quick visits or longer companionship, I make sure they feel cared for and comfortable. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I follow all care instructions closely, respect your home, and maintain a calm, clean environment during every visit. I’m attentive to behavior changes, secure doors and gates, and take extra care with leashes, feeding routines, and medication instructions if needed. I treat every home and pet with the same level of responsibility and respect I would expect for my own.
About: I am retired, so I have plenty of time and availability to visit, house sit, play, and walk dogs around their neighborhoods or dog parks. I have no problem cleaning/refreshing litter boxes. I care for our two cats, and even though they're both semi-feral, they still need a lot of TLC and attention. Daily food prep, litter box maintenance, and play time. I take care to follow clients' wishes for their loved pets in their homes, including feeding, cleaning, playing, and ensuring the cats and/or dogs are loved and cared for.
“I booked Octavia for a last minute walk with my pup and everything was fantastic! We had good communication, she was on time, and she gave a great summary at the end of the walk. I’m adding her to my roster of walkers ASAP.”

“Susan was prompt and communicative and very friendly. We are very thankful for her helping to walk our pup, even with rainy conditions. I would not hesitate a second before booking a walk with her again.”

About: Most pets tend to flock right to me. With six cats at present and a handful of cats and dogs down through the years we've built a rapport. Besides the basic maintenance of feeding and walking/scooping companionship is essential and it's important for them to feel safe and appreciated. Working both part-time and freelance, my schedule is pretty flexible and few things are set in stone. Tell me what you need and I'll work around your schedule. Our six cats, all but one rescues, are indoor cats. Bowls are washed twice a day before each feeding. Boxes are scooped daily with one going out of commission for cleaning every week. Baking soda is under the littler and sometimes a little more is mixed on top if needed. When I lived with dogs I walked them twice a day taking a good long walk around the neighborhood so they could could get exercise and fresh air. I refer to them as "he" and "she" not "it".

Shaker Heights dog parents share their Rover experiences
Dr Chris and Amanda are the best dog walkers ever! Our Mia needs lots of exercise to stay healthy and happy and Dr Chris makes sure she gets it. Mia is turning 7 this Spring but she runs and plays like a puppy! Dr Chris' walks with our Mia seem to also have helped with some mild behavior issues she had when I walked her regularly. Dr Chris should get 10 stars plus! We are so happy to have found him and Amanda!

Takia is a phenomenal sitter! She sent me photos with EVERY walk and always ensured my pets were left with full water and clean areas. She is a true dog lover and even has a puppy wall! Thank you Takia for be a part of Rover. You have been such a great experience!
