About: I have been taking care of dogs for almost 10 years now. During that time I have gained experience with older dogs, diabetic dogs, puppies and everything in between. I currently own a rescue dog who I have been doing high level obedience with. We participate in dogs sport like rally obedience, fetch, fastCAT, barn hunt, lure coursing and most recently scent work. When I come to take care of your dog I will treat them as if they were my own with lots of love. I want to make you feel comfortable about leaving your dog knowing someone responsible is going to take care of them. I have a high energy dog. His care involves daily walks, and lots of training including scent work, learning new tricks or building up muscle and rear end awareness. My favorite activity is walking and training dogs. I will care for your dog with love and kindness. If you give my specifics of how you like your dog handled I am more than happy to follow that. I understand each dog is different and unique which means that I adjust accordingly.
“Kari was amazing , she was timely and my pup never stopped smiling the whole time she was around! She did everything we requested and made sure my dog felt comfortable with a new face!! I would definitely book her again!”

“Britney was wonderful! She was reliable, communicative, and took great care of our pets during her drop-ins. We really appreciated the updates and the peace of mind she gave us while we were away. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter.”

“I went on a 10 day trip to Iceland. Brittany took fantastic care of my 2 cats while I was away! She gave me daily updates, including pictures and occasional videos of her and her daughter playing with 1 of my cats. This gave me great peace of mind during my long trip! 😊”

“Joanne was WONDERFUL! I highly recommend her! She is so friendly and responsive . My dog loved her and she was on time when she was supposed to arrive. I had some issues regarding the times after it was booked and she completely understood and was there when I needed her to walk my dog. I know it can be hard trusting someone with your pets, but Joanne is definitely professional and you can trust her 100%.”

“I’m so glad that I found Morgan! She is wonderful with my dogs, they just love her, she is on time, reliable, and her communication is perfect. Definitely rebooking!”

About: Hello, I'm Paige and I am new to rover but I have three years of dogsitting experience as well as having a dog of my own. I am looking forward to meeting and caring for your furry friends! I'm currently working part time, so there is plenty of time in my schedule to care for your pups. I am free on weekdays or weekends, whenever you need me. When dogsitting, I make sure to give the dogs daily walks as well as exercise through playing. I always make sure they are getting affection because I know they are missing their parents.
“Christa has taken care of our 3 cats on multiple occasions. I cannot say enough good things about that care that Christa has provided. She provides detailed updates and photos from each visit, and it's clear that she knows exactly what she is doing and genuinely cares for our pets. She is an excellent communicator, and I trust her whole heartedly. I give Christa an outstanding recommendation!”

About: I have been taking care of my friends’ and neighbors’ dogs and cats since I was 15. I have been hired to dog and cat sit during the day (for pets of all ages), walking dogs, and drop in visits to feed animals and play with them! I am currently in physical therapy school and have a very flexible schedule. I am available after 4pm Monday through Friday and off on the weekends. Starting May 1st I will be available all day everyday except for days marked off! I have a fence and big backyard. When caring for others pets, I am able to let them outside with a fence or able to take them out on a leash. I also have a car if they enjoy car rides!
About: What sets me apart from other dog caregivers is my genuine love for dogs and the experience I’ve gained from being a dog owner for many years. I currently own a beautiful pit bull that is 11 years old ,her name is Blue. Before my dog Blue, , I owned a miniature pinscher for 14 years who passed away from old age and being ill.I understand that every dog has its own personality, needs, and routines. I enjoy spending time with dogs, making them feel safe, loved, comfortable, and happy while their owners are away. Especially knowing how important it is to me, when I am away, to know that my dog is cared for fed, and feels safe. Whether it’s a walk, playtime, or simply companionship, I treat every dog with the same care, patience, and affection that I would give my own. I do currently work full-time. Although I work full-time, I am done work at 2:30, and off in the summer. My husband has recently passed away. I have a lot more time on my hands to give your pet a lot of love. I am done work early enough that I can get to an owner‘s house for a dinner feeding for your pet, letting your pet out if you have a fenced yard , if not a walk. Playtime for your pet companionship whatever the case may be my weekends are free and my summer . It is then that I could provide overnight stays. Having a dog myself, I would not provide any services at my home, however, I would gladly come to your house, carefully come in, call your dog’s name and provide whatever services you would like. Those services would include a 15 minute visit or a 30 min visit In a 15 minute visit: *Let dog out/ short walk * Fresh water/ feeding *Lots of attention/ affection 20.00 30 min drop in * Walk/yard time *Feeding / water refresh * playtime/ companionship *Poop cleanup * photo text update- 30.00

I am comfortable with medications, baths/grooming, accidents and the endless dog kisses. I have 2 dogs myself (Rottweiler, and a King Charles Cavalier) who are very rambunctious and always keep me on my toes. I am currently available during the week, weekends and holidays. I am home and available for drop ins, long visits, dog-walks, boarding/overnight visits at your home. I do have a very large fenced in yard for dogs to play in. Multiple crate sizes for dogs and cats along with carriers. For cats- I have multiple cat trees in my home. I do have areas to seperate pets if needed in my 4 story home. Multiple food bowls, blankets and beds to keep everyone happy.
“This was my first time leaving my dog with someone unknown. I was totally against putting her in a kennel as she has never been in that type of environment ….(she’s 11 years old). I couldn’t have picked a better person to watch my baby. Deanna is absolutely fantastic! Not only is she reliable and trustworthy, but she always made herself available in case my scheduled changed. Rylee became quick friends with Deanna and adores her! Deanna consistently sent pictures and updates of their walks and Rylees general well being. This provided such comfort and peace of mind. Deanna went above and beyond. She watered my plants and swept up after coming in and out from walks. She even stayed later than she was supposed to in order to make Rylee feel comfortable. I HIGHLY recommend Deanna. I WILL DEFINITELY hire Deanna again. Jeanne, Mark, and Rylee 🩷”

About: My husband and I are experienced, loving pet parents. We have almost 20 years together, and 20 years of personal care for our own cats & dogs, and have taken care of many other small critters. We love, love, LOVE animals and will care for your furbaby as if they are our own (and our own are spoiled, but we still have to have reasonable expectations of rules). If staying with us, they have the run of the house and will sleep with us in our bed (if that's something they are into. Otherwise, crating is fine!). If I am coming to your home and walking, I will love and care for them just as I do my sweet girls. Our home is pet friendly, and all pets can have free roam of the house. Imagine they are on a vacation - looked after, paid attention to, but not expected to be on their best behaviour. We have lots of experience with animal rescue in 3 countries (yes, 3!) and give our free time and funds to help homeless animals where we are able. We would love to watch your furbabies. Just let us know when you need us! Thank you so much for considering us to care for your furkids.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Sewell
Britney did a last-minute drop in visit for me when I had to do an emergency overnight stay out-of-state; I'm super grateful that she felt comfortable enough to drop-in on an animal she hadn't yet met! She communicated with me about everything, and sent super cute pics of my cat. This is my first time using Rover (and my first time leaving my cat alone overnight) and I'm so pleased, especially with the service Britney provided! I was so relieved knowing that Valkyrie would be taken care of while I was away. Thank you!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
