About: I started dog sitting for neighbors when we lost our dog in 2013 and we really missed our Lab, Bailey. We adopted a lab mix about 4 years ago, who gets along well with dogs that visit. We have a good amount of experience and about 5 regular clients who come back again and again. I have one teenager at home who also can help. We have a pretty good set up with a cabinet for dog food, drawer for doggie medicines and a place to hang leashes. We have a big deck and fenced yard, so dogs often lie in the sun on our deck. Come visit! I work from home a lot and have a very flexible schedule. So dogs are never alone for long. I walk dogs twice a day at least and play in the yard sometimes. I hade a fenced yard in a quiet suburban neighborhood. Very little traffic and very friendly neighbors. We have woods around as well so dogs love it.

About: I have experience with dogs of all ages, from lively puppies to senior dogs that require extra care. I’m knowledgeable in basic puppy training, including housebreaking and teaching commands. For older dogs, I offer patient, attentive care, ensuring their needs are met, including administering oral medication if necessary. I keep dogs engaged with plenty of playtime and walks, always making sure they feel secure and cared for. I also limit the number of dogs I look after at a time, so your pet will receive lots of personalized attention. As a dog owner myself, caring for pets is a key part of my daily and weekly routine. I structure my day around their needs, making sure they get regular walks, playtime, meals, and any specific care they require. From early morning potty breaks to midday playtime and evening cuddles, I remain flexible and attentive to ensure each pet is happy and well-cared for throughout the day. In my home, I make sure pets are comfortable, safe, and cared for just like they would be at their own home. I follow their normal routine with meals, walks, playtime, and rest, giving them plenty of love and attention. Our dog, a doodle, is very friendly, playful and loves company

About: Hi!! I’m Michele and I live in a townhouse community in North Potomac/Gaithersburg, adjacent to the Kentlands. I have owned rescue dogs for 30 years, and I have always chosen dogs that are “hard to adopt” due to having a traumatic history, having accompanying anxiety or other behavioral challenges, and/or being a wrongly stigmatized breed. All of my dogs have been mixed breeds — a Doberman mix, a Shepherd mix, a Rottweiler mix, a Pitbull mix, a Mini Pin mix, and a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix. I have also been helping my daughter over the past two years with her growing petsitting business. I have spent much of my career as a consulting writer and communications specialist in the global health and international development field, and have mostly worked from home. Due to recent changes in the federal government, most U.S.-based professionals in this field lost employment in 2025, and I am taking the opportunity to branch into more entrepreneurial paths that speak to my other personal passions. I always make sure my dogs (and yours!) have plenty of exercise, water, and hugs! And of course food and any medications according to your exact instructions. When I walk dogs, I am conscious of allowing them to have ample time to sniff and explore, as this gives them the mental exercise they need and tires them out for good naps during the day. I also love to give dogs play time in fenced yard/areas with any balls/toys they enjoy. I am available for walks at any time of the day, as well as housesitting in your home (or my home if you prefer!) when you are away! I am also happy to care for cats and any other pets. Thanks so much for considering me, and I hope to meet you and your best friend(s) soon! I’m currently rebuilding my career from scratch and have plenty of time for pet care! The work paths that I am building will all be mostly work-from-home. I will provide long and short walks, additional exercise in fenced areas, water, food, and medications! I am forever a dog-on-the-furniture/bed person but will happily respect your wishes if you prefer not to allow that. I will also provide crate training if desired! I currently do not have dogs living with me full time, but my daughter has two dogs and can bring them to my house anytime if you would like some social time built in.
