Leslie was loving, caring and she treated Frances, my terrier-dachshund with the closest and kindest attention—plenty of walks, balanced diet, happy human company to sleep with when she desired, and various places to rest—so Leslie passed those all those important measures.She also sent me photographs with comments fairly often, which delighted me and made me know that Frances was safe and happy! But then, of Great value was the fact that she always could find positive human companionship—her cousin came, and let Frances and another dog, sleep on his knee, looking utterly content, her roommate really liked Frances and showed it, and Leslie did too. AND there was always her dog, and then occasionally a neighbor’s dog or another client’s dog visiting for a number of hours. That was Heaven for Frances, and just what I was hoping for. A place where Frances could be, as Leslie put it, a member of a pack. NOT a large, in any way overwhelming pack, but a small pack, consisting of one or two or conceivably three other dogs, which she could be with. THAT and the essential human warmth which was very much present—was all I could dream of—and Leslie provided it. Thank you so, so much. I will definitely use her services again! They walked our dogs 4 times a day through a safe wooded area with lakes that our dogs really enjoyed exploring. It gave them plenty of physical and mental stimulation. G&K made sure to capture these precious moments in the most gorgeous pictures and videos that kept our hearts warm throughout our 2-week trip. As this was summertime, G&K also made sure our furbabies were kept nice and cool, including with ice cubes in their water bowls after walks as needed. G&K also taught them important skills and routines, which we really appreciate. They came home to us extra well-behaved and relaxed. And when we picked them up, they came home extra fresh and fluffy after a bath and blow dry from their favorite spare hoomans. 🥰 And when at one point our dogs refused to eat their regular food, G&K prepared healthy and yummy homemade meals for several days — after first checking with us, of course! It’s impossible to state in words how much dedication and diligence G&K do to keep our dogs safe, well-fed and happy.”

About: I have taken care of my own dog since I was young, and since her passing I have routinely dogsit for friends and family. My childhood right-paw-man was a Beagle mix, and so I love to handle hounds who sniff first & think later (as well as distract them with Pupperoni…). I took care of her in her old age, so I have some experience in dropping medicine on the floor and pretending it’s a delectable morsel so dogs devour it! I also have handled plenty of bark-happy dogs, and like to bring treats on all my walks to incentivize more calmer adventures. If your pet has exibited reactivity issues during walking or other activities, I'll keep an eye out for it and keep other pets at a distance so there are no problems. Many pets who visit are endlessly entertained by all of the action at the park directly across the street. They spend time sitting at the front window watching everything that passes by, There's no need for your pup to be crate or cage trained but it's fine if they are. One of the absolute great features here are the various ramps we have leading inside and outside for pets that are older or have mobility issues. I've had many dogs, cats and others at all different energy and age levels throughout my life including beagles, pitbulls, poodles, cats and many others. I'll care for yours the same as if they were my own, giving them the attention they deserve so they don't experience any anxiety. They'll be allowed to hang out pretty much all over the house, including sitting on the couch if you allow it. About: I have worked with dogs and cats of all ages ranging from young to old. I currently work with training service dogs with Fidos for Freedom and have worked with Leashes End in Rockville, MD, a senior pet rescue for the last 3 years. If caring for your pet at your home, I can ensure your fur baby gets lots of playtime and walks.

About: My first experience caring for pets began with my golden retriever, Max, who I got as a puppy when I was 9 years old. We had him for 10 amazing years until his passing in 2017. The following year, I began working at an animal hospital as a veterinary assistant, where I developed a genuine interest in veterinary care. During my six years at the clinic, I gained a strong understanding of what it takes to properly care for both dogs and cats. I've worked hands-on with pets of all different breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities—from Chihuahuas and Yorkies to French Mastiffs and Great Danes, as well as cats with a wide range of temperaments. My experience taught me how to safely handle and care for animals while also recognizing when they may be stressed, uncomfortable, or simply need a little extra patience. At home, I care for my own five cats every day, so multi-cat routines, different personalities, and maintaining a clean, peaceful environment are already part of my daily life. When I visit your home, I bring that same level of attentiveness—never rushed, always respectful of your cat’s pace and space. I also keep my bookings intentionally limited so each cat receives steady, thoughtful care. Whether your cat needs quiet companionship, playtime, or medication, I make sure every visit feels consistent and reassuring for both you and your cat. My primary service is caring for cats in their own home, where many feel safest and most relaxed. I follow your instructions closely, from feeding and medication to doors, windows, lights, and entry routines. Each visit is tailored to your cat’s personality and your preferences. Some cats want play and affection, while others prefer quiet company and space. I pay close attention to food, water, litter box habits, and any small changes in behavior. If I ever care for a cat in my home, I would focus on slow introductions, separated food, close monitoring, and a calm, clean environment. My five resident cats are all up to date on rabies and FVRCP vaccines, and I always respect each cat’s pace and comfort level.
About: I’ve been around dogs of all sizes and breeds since I was a child, and I can’t imagine it any other way! From toy poodles to Rottweilers, dogs have always been fundamental members of our family. I have also watched numerous cats for friends and family over the years, and I’ve made several furry friends along the way! I have open availability for pet care during the weekends, and I am available during weekdays from 10-5 (hours may be modified to better fit a client’ schedule). I have a 2 year old Bernadoodle named Lily! She is exceptionally sweet and great with other animals, so your pet will always have a furry friend nearby! If you prefer, I can also keep your animal separated from Lily as I have several portable gates. Pets are always treated as members of the family with ample love, attention, and belly rubs!

About: Hello! I have been both a cat and dog sitter throughout my life. I have owned several cats, a dog, and other fun pets! Raised a few kittens and also took care of several dogs/cats within the past couple years. Currently I am at home and can help during any time that is needed, especially during the holidays if you will be traveling and need assistance. I currently have a cat at home who’s fully litter trained and loves to play. She’s very comfortable around dogs and usually keeps to herself. I also have a dog in the house, so I’m experienced with both. In the past, I’ve cared for a rabbit and a guinea pig, so I’m also familiar with cleaning cages and caring for small animals.
About: I have a medium size calm dog Judo who loves the company of other dogs. I have been caring for my own dogs since 2014, and started Rover in 2018. I also foster dogs for local rescues and especially have experience with shy dogs that need help trusting people. Because of allergies, dogs are not allowed on furniture or in the bedroom. We only take one dog at a time to insure your lovely pup gets the attention they deserve. We only accept dogs that are fully house trained. Accidents happen, but please do not send your dog over if they already have urinary or digestive problems. Please understand that we only accept fully vaccinated dogs to protect the health of our resident dog. Before booking with us for the first time, we recommend a meet n greet to ensure a good fit. I work from home and my schedule is pretty flexible. Potty breaks in the yard available throughout the day. Two walks a day with my dog and park visits on weekends. All interactions between dogs will be monitored. When I’m not around I will keep them separate in the first three days until I am confident that they get along. Food will be provided separately and toys will not be left around.
