About: I have lots of experience caring for cats and dogs, and would love the opportunity to sit for your pets, either in your home or mine. Located in the SRJC area, my single family home has a completely fenced in backyard with sun and shade. I do not have pets or children of my own here, so can provide a sanctuary for pets that do not get along with other animals or little ones. My schedule is very flexible, I am most often home in the SRJC area, and I love walking. I am a gentle person and connect with most animals easily. I have cared for all kinds of dogs, from energetic pups, to seniors that need some special care and medication. I listen to what is needed and make sure I can deliver before committing to a job. My home has a large fenced in yard, with no other pets or kids on the premise, it is a pretty calm environment. For drop in visits, I make sure to spend some time playing or cuddling with pets. When providing day care or house sitting, I stay close to pets and provide frequent walks and other care as needed.
About: After caring for dogs and cats for friends and neighbors, as a stay at home dog dad, I am ready to make it a full time gig. Special, good care is hard to find. I also beleive in keeping dogs active and healthy. Long neigborhood walks, dog park and ball-ball play are necessary (as well as lots of hugs and praise!). I'm a stay at home dog dad so able to give the time and attention. Trying to build a client base for full time work is my goal. I have two wonderful easy going dogs to keep your pup company. I have a crate(s) if needed, lots of toys and care. Fenced back yard too!
About: I’ve taken care of neighbors pets for years, I’ve always been incredibly reliable, and I’m kind-hearted to their fuzzy companions because I know how important they are to people. Having cats myself, I understand how sacred and special they are. When taking care of pets I’ve fed them, gave them water, let them out and cleaned up all sorts of messes. I adore playing with them and keeping them company, which is one of the mort important things besides basic care, because the animals need company as well. Animals are wonderful companions, and caring for them is something I genuinely love. I treat every pet I care for like family, giving them consistent attention, affection, and respect for their routines. I make sure each pet feels safe, happy, and comfortable while their owners are away, so you can have peace of mind knowing they’re in caring hands. When caring for pets, whether in my home or a client’s, I focus on keeping them comfortable, safe, and happy. I stick to their usual routines for feeding, walking, and playtime, and I make sure they get plenty of attention and affection. I also watch for any signs of stress or discomfort and respond promptly, so every pet feels calm, loved, and well cared for while their humans are away.
“Caitlin was absolutely fantastic with my Basset hound. Her prior experience with hounds truly reassured me. It was a last minute request because another dog sitter fell through and she completely saved me and my dog Rupert. She is not only highly professional but also incredibly friendly. I will definitely be hiring her for dog walking again in the future.”

About: I have taken care of pets since I was small. Was raised on a farm so have always had a heart for all four legged friends. Pet care is a natural part of my everyday routine. I’m home often throughout the day, which allows me to give pets consistent attention, playtime, and potty breaks. I structure my day around the animals in my care—morning feedings and walks, daytime check-ins, enrichment activities, and evening wind-down time. Because I’m already used to caring for pets and managing a household, integrating your pet’s needs into my schedule is easy and enjoyable. Their comfort and routine always come first. When pets stay in my home, they get a safe, comfortable, and fun environment. I have a fully fenced yard where dogs can play, relax, and get plenty of fresh air. I also take pets on regular walks and, if the owner is comfortable with it, we enjoy outings to local dog parks for extra exercise and socialization. Inside my home, pets are treated like family—lots of affection, playtime, and a calm, clean space to rest. I follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding schedules, medication needs, and any special instructions. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I maintain their normal routine and make sure they feel secure in their familiar space. I provide regular walks, feeding, potty breaks, clean water, playtime, and lots of attention. I also keep owners updated with messages, photos, and notes so they always know how their pets are doing.

“Katy has done an amazing job with Gus. She’s trustworthy, goes above and beyond what is asked, and Gus’s wagging tail says it all when he’s on a walk with Katy. Will use her for all my future needs?”

About: I have been taking care of dogs, cats, chickens, and horses since I was a young kid. I grew up wanting to be a veterinarian and attended a University in California with that goal in mind. As much as I enjoyed the Animal Science courses and internships in the Radiology Department, I decided working with kids was more my thing! But I still have a deep love of animals :) I moved to Colorado and now work on an organic farm and love it! I have worked with elderly dogs who need either oral medication or shots, dogs that are blind and need special care navigating the house, to active pups who love to go on morning runs! I am a dog lover and haven't gone a year without having a pet as part of the family. Pets are family and I believe they deserve the best care while their loved ones are away. Let me spend that time with your special pup and we will have many adventures!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Santa Rosa
Cecilia is wonderful! Two of our dogs are slow to warm up to new people and can be anxious and reactive to strangers, wildlife, fast cars, slow cars, and lots of other normal/scary things one encounters frequently on a walk. Oh and they also randomly stop some days and just don’t want to go very far, and they’re wimps in the rain. Cecilia has been patient, creative, and confident and we notice they’re even walking less anxious about all those things with us now :)

Berenice came through for us while we were traveling and needed someone to walk our boy while we had a few hours we couldn’t keep him with us during an event. Moose was happy and healthy when we returned and Berenice gave us lots of photos and was a fantastic communicator. Would absolutely rebook her anytime we are visiting here!

Ashleigh was amazing and so helpful! She responded super quickly and was great at keeping me updated on everything, letting me know what Max needed and what I needed to do. Plus, she was on time! And she even remembered to bring along a leash that I'd forgotten to grab myself. Max looked happy and was definitely well taken care of during his walk. I would definitely recommend Ashleigh!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
