I am a huge fan of limiting any potential risks of any kind! I won't let your dog(s) off-leash except on your own enclosed property, and I tend to keep space from other dogs unless I know all of them well. I put food & any potentially yummy items away quickly. (I love pets, but I don't trust them to turn down a good snack!) I am thorough in communication, and will let you know if anything isn't quite right.

I would love to get a sense of your dog's energy level and their health needs. Anything that agitates them, anything they absolutely love! Also how food motivated they are to see how well I can use that to my advantage!
A typical day
When I arrive, I'm careful to not over-excite anyone when I come in - I like to reward them for holding it together!! I love playing with toys, especially dogs who like to play fetch. Exercise can be especially important for high-energy and/or anxious dogs. Love a good snuggle too! I do a check of food & water to make sure everything looks okay, and litter/potty area if applicable.

I’ve been a professional petsitter full time for nearly 7 years, and I love the opportunity to care for other people’s animals! My focus is on positive reinforcement, taking it at your pet’s pace, and communicating abundantly so you are informed and at ease. Petsitting was my first job as a kid, when I made flyers and posted them around town. I wasn’t allowed to have my own pets but figured I’d find a way to be around them! My love for animals has only grown. I have pet clients who have been with me from the start who I’ve gotten to build years of trust and care with, and I don’t take that lightly! I have additional experience with: - anxious/nervous dogs - animals - diabetic cats - parrots - cows - chickens I love to maintain training protocol and encourage your pup, and can offer some guidance on behavior & training. I have a special place in my heart for pitties! I’m a sensitive and intuitive person who will try to anticipate your pet’s needs to the best of my abilities, and give them a joyful, safe experience with me. Our dog was happy, relaxed, and well cared for when we returned, which says a lot because he can be a bit particular about people. We really appreciated the regular updates and photos while we were away—it gave us peace of mind knowing everything was going well at home. They followed all our instructions, kept our dog on his normal routine, and even left the house tidy.
