“Conrad was great with Chopper and we never once felt we had to worry about being away from him. It made me feel even more comfortable that his passion is pets with working on vet school. We appreciate Conrad and knowing Chopper was in good hands!”

“Holly and her family took great care of my nervous mini labradoodle. She sent updates and pictures of my pup each day. I could tell she was well loved. I am so glad I found Holly and will definitely use her again!”

“Krisanne & Gaston were so great!. We were hesitant to book through Rover again after having a poor experience with a different host. I booked again after luckily stumbling upon Krisanne (an acquaintance from when I was younger). I knew our dog Moose was in good hands as soon as we dropped him off. They sent me picture and updates every day of him playing and out on walks. I felt totally at ease this weekend and was completely confident that he was taken care of and in good hands. Moose came home happy and tired from a fun weekend playing. We will be back!”

“I loved having Jamie as our sitter. I had absolutely no worries knowing my dog was being loved and well cared for. Jamie was amazing with updates and pictures, which gave me so much peace of mind. When I picked my baby up, she looked so happy. I would definitely recommend Jamie to anyone looking for someone to care for their fur baby.”

“Wow! What a great experience. We were vacationing in the area and there were many activities we planned that weren’t dog friendly. Riley is a puppy and we were concerned about leaving him for the first time. Cindy was able to take Riley in to her home and she clearly is set up to care for the dogs she takes on. She has plenty of space, kennels, and dog beds for those she cares for. She kept in touch and sent plenty of pics so we didn’t worry about how he was doing. Wr could tell he was having a great time. If you’re in the area, Cindy is reliable, flexible and great with dogs. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again when I’m in town next.”

“Stacy was very friendly and wanted to make sure our pup was comfortable before we left him for the weekend. We got lots of photos and our pup got lots of love and attention from Stacy. He even went on a special outing/walk. I would for sure book again with Stacy again.”

“We boarded our two dogs with Stacey and David twice and were both pleasantly surprised and a tad bit jealous. Our rat terrier (Elliot) doesn’t like just anyone... in fact, he growls and barks at most people for at least five minutes before settling down and being cordial. It usually takes multiple visits for him to actually be friendly. Anyway, Elliot took to Stacey and David immediately and they sent us a half dozen photos of him cuddling with one or the other of them. We were starting to wonder if he even remembered his mommy and daddy, lol.”
“Amy is great with our fur baby. Her daughter plays with our pup and it’s just totally adorable. Amy is our go-to sitter when we leave town. We know our baby is well cared for in our absence!”

“Lindsay was amazing with my cat. She was super flexible and sent regular picture updates. My kitty did not want to come home! A big plus was that she was super clean, I think she had a bath before I came to get her. I would highly recommend her home for pets, she’s now our official sitter”

“Jennifer was very good at making me and my pup feel comfortable. I have a very high energy dog who came home exhausted and happy. I loved that Jennifer was flexible and I could drop off and pick up at just about anytime.”

“My pup had a lot of fun at Breann's. Breann has several dogs and was watching another, and since my pup loves to play, she had a blast spending three days playing with new friends. When I came to pick her up, she wanted to keep playing! Breann is a great choice if your pup is social and playful.”

“It was a good price for what we needed last minute for our pups—they were not as transparent as we are used too (i.e. we did not go inside their house to see where they’d be staying- my dog gets into food and overeats, so wanted to warn and also it’s hot in St. George so wanted to make sure they could stay inside. Communicated with wife and only saw husband, just awkward to know who we were talking to. Each picture of our dogs were outside in St. George triple digit heat, and we worried they didn’t get the water they needed) it felt confirmed when our dogs guzzled almost a gallon of water upon return and one threw up 3 times from too much water. They did respond promptly and were ready at drop off and return. And our dogs are okay! Simple transaction.”

“Chanda and Chad are the BEST! Not only did they take amazing car of my dog, but they kept me updated each day with the cutest pictures letting me know that he was having the time of his life! He came home exhausted and happy! They are very knowledgeable about dog behaviors and have plenty of experience taking care of all kinds and types. On top of everything they did to take such good care of my dog, they were super flexible when we got stuck in the airport and had to change pickup times due to weather. I am so grateful for everything they did to put me at ease during our 10 day vacation as well as a last-minute stressful extension. I would 10/10 recommend them to all of my friends and family as well as anyone here on Rover! They are incredible! Thank you so much Chanda and Chad!”

“Scot was amazing! He was very kind and accommodating for our large and dog reactive dog. Very fast at communicating and sent a photo with an update, which I loved! Highly recommend!”

“Luna was great! She was quick to respond and helped calm my nerves with leaving my baby. She took excellent care of our baby and sent several pictures throughout the weekend! Would definitely recommend”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Santa Clara
This was the second time we had Krisanne and Gaston pet sit Brody. The first time was just an overnight stay to see how he would do and he did fine. This time he stayed a week and when we first dropped him off he seemed excited. Later when he realized that we weren’t there I think he started to get anxious and nervous. He had some accidents but Krisanne and Gaston handled it nicely. They keep me updated that Brody was doing better and sent pictures of him playing and taking daily walks with their dog Kylo. I felt comfortable leaving Brody with Krisanne and Gaston and would highly recommend them.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
