“Ruby was a great cat sitter. She’s quick to respond, responsible and truly went above and beyond by helping clean up kitty throw up as well. I’ll definitely book her again. Thanks for giving me a peace of mind on my vacation, Ruby :)”

“Tricia was an absolute perfect fit for my dog, a Long haired-german shepherd that requires structure, a firm hand, mental stimulation, and cuddles. Tricha delivered it all, she was very communicative, and made sure to check-in with great updates, and asked questions to clarify anything. I trust her judgement completely, and she was great with Nala, delivering not just a dog walker and in-house sitter, but a great companion and teacher for Nala. If you're not sure if a sitter can handle your dog because they can be slightly reactive or need more attention, Tricia is the sitter for you!”

About: I grew up with labs and lab mixes. I have trained dogs previously. I spent several years volunteering with Guide Dogs for the Blind. Animals have always been very comfortable with me. I am currently looking for work, so I have a flexible schedule. I am able to be available as needed. I understand people's lives are busy, so I try to be flexible for the dog/cat's needs. I respect their home. I treat their home as if it's my own. I respect their fur baby's space. I would never harm an animal, especially one that's part of the family.
About: I’m a loving cat mom of 5+ years with a lifetime of experience caring for cats of all ages. I’m competent in simple dog training and am open to dog-sitting/walking, but cats are by far my specialty. I have proven experience building trust and bonding quickly with new cats, even those with behavioral issues or shy demeanors. I’m a teacher looking for extra summer work, so I’ll have plenty of time to care for your furry friends June-August! I can make up to 5 visits on weekends and 3 visits on select weekdays. I will be nannying part time and will be available before 2pm and after 6pm on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays. Please message me with any questions! I am soft, gentle and empathetic with all new pets I meet, especially when I’m entering their safe space! My cat was a mean, shy little boy when I adopted him at 7 months; but now at 5 years he’s happy and comfy as can be. I hope to provide this same experience for your pets, whether it be a short drop in or an overnight visit.
“Christine is always so communicative and does a great job with our two cats! They even greet her at the door, which is rare for our shy orange boy. We definitely recommend Christine.”

About: I’ve been taking care of animals for 20+ years. I grew up with a cat and 2 dogs, rode horses, volunteered at animal shelters, and we currently have 2 tuxedo kitties. I have been volunteering with local animals shelters for the past 10+ years; mainly dogs, cats, and small animals. I usually opt to support pet care (feeding, kennel cleaning, walks) and recently I have been supporting surgeries (spays, neuter, etc). From all of my experiences, I’ve found that patience, respect, and kindess are the pillars to good interactions with animals. The most important thing to me will always be the well-being of your pet. Happy to help out fellow pet parents through Rover! Cheers, Marissa I’m currently between jobs (biotech in the bay) and am happy to add some structure to my days with pet care. I’m available weekdays for visits, walks, and care. Not able to do boarding or home sits at this time. I will respect your space as if it was my own; no shoes in the house, leave things cleaner than you found it, pet-safety conscientious (ex food risks). When visiting your pets they’ll have my undivided attention and you have my promise to thoroughly review any instructions; big or small.
About: I have taken care of and been around many dogs since childhood. Growing up, my first dog was a Jack Russell Terrier. We got him in 2009 and he lived a happy active life until 2021. In 2022, I adopted an Australian Cattle/Great Dane mix. I also have experience caring for and looking after Golden Retrievers, Labradors, Maltese, Pitbulls, and Dachshunds. My schedule is highly flexible! I am able to switch my schedule to my client's needs to make sure their pet is taken care of. I am available on weekdays, weekends, and most holidays. My dog is super friendly and loves having doggy friends around. I am able to go on long walks and spend time doing enriching activities.
“Caroline was fantastic! She updated us for every check in with photos and videos. She was kind and loving toward our doggies. I will consider her again for future care.”
“bruno is amazing! very professional and patient. i have an older dog and she requires additional assistance. Bruno has been caring, compassionate, helpful, and reassuring. i highly recommend him.”

About: Taking care of dogs started for me with my wonderful and energetic Airedale in my teens and twenties, and continues as a dedicated uncle to my sister’s 4 dogs (yes 4!). I am the guy my friends consistently ask to pet sit when they leave town. I also take pride in leaving your house as nice as when arrived. For long stays or short, I’m happy to help. I am currently working part time nearby and I am not planning holiday travel, so I’ll have plenty of time for quality visits with your dogs! Your pets and your home environment are important to you. I will exercise the utmost care with both and make sure you feel comfortable entrusting me with either or both.

About: I've grown up always volunteering to care for dogs while my friends were on vacation. I used to have an English bulldog named Elvis who I loved SOOOO much. I just graduated college and moved home, and my building doesn't allow dogs, so I figured this would be a great way to interact with some :) I love ALL dogs no matter the shape or size, and would love to walk your dog/give him or her all the cuddles. My 9-5 won't start until July 27th so I'm literally free whenever and just want to make some extra $$ and see dogs. I do still plan to dog sit and walk when I start though! I will make sure I understand really thoroughly what your dog needs like how often to walk, feed, etc so I can keep your dog's routine as close to normal as possible while you're away. I will take thorough notes on whatever else they may need! :)) And I will make sure to ask about what they like so I can spoil them while you're away(within your limits) by feeding them special treats and giving them some extra scratches if they have a personality where they like/need that <3
About: Hi! My name is Florence based in Burlingame and I am excited to meet your furry friend! 🐶🐈⬛🐾 I am a proud cat parent I have a 9 month old void named Kima. I have a lot of experience with dogs as well, my family has a 4 year old poodle and I was constantly dog sitting him when I still lived at home. I am approaching a year here on Rover and have experience with dog walks and drop in visits for both dogs and cats. Currently taking clients for drop in visits and dog walks. Let me know if you have any questions would be happy to answer them. My schedule is always consistent and I currently work part time at Kaiser when I am not pet sitting. I am not available on Mondays but can do morning and lunch time walks throughout the rest of the week! I'm always mindful of my surroundings during walks, paying close attention to leash length, nearby animals, and the environment. At home, I stay attentive to your pet’s behavior and will treat every pet with care, patience, and respect for their unique needs and routines.
“Erica is wonderful! She took amazing care of our two cats; making 2 drop in visits each day. She left thoughtful comments as to how they were doing and sent photos with each visit. She clearly loves animals and is a lovely person herself! I will entrust her to care for my pets in the future.”

About: I am attentive, caring and love to shower pets with affection. Will make sure to follow any directions you might have for your fur baby. Both myself and my wife work during the day but are available during the evenings. Our soon to be 18 year old son can watch them too under our supervision. We have a cat who can keep your fur baby company. We live in an apartment so usually keep pets inside unless walking a dog
“Zahudy was great. She was very attentive our dog, Oliver, and communicated in detail with us every step of the way. Oliver behaved as if we never left home and I think Zahudy played a major role in him doing so well.”

“Denise is fantastic! We have relied on Denise many times now and she consistently does a great job. She’s smart, great with and knowledgeable about pets, thinks outside the box, and reliable because of those reasons and more. I recently took a trip where I had little to no phone coverage, and I knew I could count on her to take care of any issues that arose if she was not able to reach me. I look forward to relying on Denise again.”

About: I’ve worked for two years at a cat shelter where I encountered a wide range of pet personalities. From weeks old kittens to spicy feral cats, I’ve seen it all. I’m great at ensuring that every pet is entertained. I’m available all summer before I head off to college! I’m just looking to save up some money to fund my college essentials! I have plenty of indoor and outdoor space for your pet to run around, as well as an area with plenty of trees and leaf litter for your pet to explore. I’m great at designing pet safe enrichment activities.

About: I've cared for my own cat for seven years and spent the past few years as a working student at a horse stable, where I train, ride, and handle the full daily care of horses. Outside of the stable, I have experience walking and caring for dogs, and animals have always been central to my life. I bring that same attentiveness, calm, and genuine love to every dog I walk. I work full-time in San Carlos with hours ending at 5pm, so I'm available for dog walks every weekday evening after 5. I'm also at a horse stable on weekends as a working student, but I can coordinate weekend availability depending on the week. I genuinely look forward to making dog walking a consistent and reliable part of my routine. I provide walks in the client's neighborhood, keeping dogs on leash at all times and staying fully attentive throughout. My years working with horses have trained me to stay calm, read animal behavior, and respond quickly and safely to unexpected situations. Your dog's safety and comfort are always my first priority.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - San Mateo Park
Gina was great with my cat who warmed up really quickly to her. She is very friendly and has the patience to allow pets to get familiar with her. She made sure my cat was getting the care and playtime needed during the 4 days we were out of state. I highly recommend booking with her to watch your pets.

Kirsten is great! Watched my three old ladies for a week. First time using a cat sitter and I couldn’t have found a better one. My cats warmed up to her quickly. Loved the photos and videos which are far superior to the ones I take! I can’t recommend Kirsten highly enough. It’s great to come home to contented kitties 🐱

Yujie watched my two cats while I was away for almost 10 days, and I couldn't have asked for a better sitter. She was very communicative, sending updates and photos regularly, which gave me a lot of peace of mind while I was traveling. I would absolutely book with Yujie again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy

Reanne was great with my two cats! She spent a lot of time playing and engaging with the brave one, and gave the shy one the space he needed to come out on his own terms. She also sent me lots of updates and photos. I felt very secure knowing she was taking such good care of them. Highly recommend!

My shy, fussy cats really warmed up to Maria! She came morning and evening for 12 days while I was away and during that time she brought them out of their shell. Not only that but she cleaned the litter box wach time and washed the food dishes and cleaned the feeding mat each time. So adding it all up: quality socializing and play time plus cleaning and feeding, My kitties and I give Maria 5 stars!

Milena is a natural when it comes to taking care of cats! She’s excellent at reading cat body language and is very patient and gentle. My cat, Pebble, takes medication and she can be difficult to medicate. Milena is extremely patient with her and always makes sure she gets her meds. I highly recommend her!
