About: I've been around animals almost my whole life. I volunteered at an animal shelter in high school, have had cats of my own since 2013, pet sat cats and dogs for friends and family, and have had experience raising kittens as well as experience in TNR. Starting in late August I will be unable to visit your pet between 8am-12:30pm during the week as I am a part time preschool teacher. However, I can spend all weekend taking care of your pet. Even though I am working part time, I am more than happy to spend as much time as possible with your pet when you're not able to so they have company until you return home! As a life long animal lover, I understand pets are more than just an animal, they're part of the family. I take time to get to know each pet and will do all I can to ensure that they are always safe in my care, whether during a walk or pet sitting in your home.

About: I love all animals and have four animals of my own: two dogs (Chico, a cattle dog and Millie, a lab mix) and two cats (Munchie and Boo). One of my cats is diabetic, so I am familiar with, and able to safely perform injections on cats if needed. While I am new to Rover, I have been caring for both cats and dogs of my own for over a decade. I'm currently between jobs, so I am available any time during the day on weekends and week days. My schedule is very flexible to fit the needs of your pet. I am very detail-oriented and am careful to follow all instructions given by the owner. I understand that being left at home can be stressful for many pets and/or owners, and will do whatever I can to make sure that your pets are well cared for while you are away.

“Amanda is a Pet Whisperer! She took care of our 2 kitties for a week with 2 visits each day - 1 morning and 1 evening visit each 30 minutes. One kitty is outgoing and self sufficient but the other is very shy and reserved. At the beginning of the week they were both hiding under the bed :( Over the week, she was able to engage with both of them and bring the shy one out of her shell. AND, by the end of the week, they were greeting her at the front door and interacting and playing with her at each visit. Each day she sent updated photos and detailed notes about how they were doing. In the past, when I've been gone they seem freaked out and nervous when I return - but this time when I got home they were their happy selves. I really can't say enough good things about Amanda. She is kind, caring and conscientious. She's a winner and I look forward to booking with her again soon!”

About: Hi, I currently have a 5 year old English Bulldog who I love to pieces. He is my buddy and such a mama's boy. Growing up my family has always had a dog in our home. I had a husky/malamute mix while I was in highschool and she had a littler of puppies so that helps with my puppy experience. Im comfortable with all sizes and breeds of dogs. I love animals. I'll play with your dog and take him/her on walks, make sure he is has water, and lots of love and attention while you are working or out of town. I believe that dogs are members of the family and should be treated so. I'm thankful for the love and companionship that they show you. Our dogs are a part of our family. Your dog will have play time all day and go on at least 4 walk a day. Thank you! I work very early mornings and close by, so I am able to balance dog boarding and working at the same time. I’m very flexible. Your dog/dogs will become a part of my family and be treated like my own. They get the same treatment as mine, sleeping on the couch is ok in my house :)

My apartment is a full-time, attentive household — with two dogs and several cats of my own, pets who stay or visit here are never left alone for long stretches, and routines (feeding, medication, walks) are followed closely and consistently. I keep a close eye on interactions between visiting pets and my own animals to make sure everyone is comfortable, and I'm attentive to signs of stress so I can adjust the environment as needed — whether that means quiet separate space or supervised introductions. Outdoor time is always supervised, whether that's the patio, a walk, or the community dog run, and I take care to secure doors, gates, and any potential hazards throughout the home. Your pet's safety and comfort are treated with the same level of care as my own.

About: I've taken care of dogs since I was in high school. A lot of my neighbors have asked me to take care of their dogs while being out on long vacations. Most visits did not include overnight stays, but I would show up in the morning to take them for a walk and to play, come back around noon to play with them again and stay for about an hour or two, come back around dinner to make sure they were fed and walked again and stay a little longer so that the dogs were not alone when it would get darker. Especially during thunder storms! I currently have a full time job that I work at 5 days a week. However with my job I have a lot of availability to work remote so if there were any circumstances where you would need me to stay all day at your house to watch your dog I would be available to do so as long as I have a wifi connection :). I had moved from New Jersey to California, so as you can imagine I miss my family dogs everyday so I have a lot of love to give to other dogs. I live in an apartment so I will unfortunately not be able to have dogs here, however, I am willing to travel multiple times a day to the owners house to play, feed, walk and even go to parks to keep them fresh and active.

I make sure pets are fed on schedule, have fresh water, receive plenty of exercise and playtime, and get the attention and affection they need. For dogs, this may include walks, outdoor time, and interactive play. For cats, I ensure litter boxes are kept clean and that they receive companionship and enrichment based on their personalities. I also respect my clients' homes and follow any specific instructions regarding pet care, medications, routines, or household preferences.
