About: I’ve been an in-home house/pet sitter for 3 years now with some consistent and happy pet families. I am happy to stay in home, drop in, do walks, and I’m experienced with cats and any sized dog. I have classes 3 days/week in the mornings, and then work everyday for 3-5 hours in the afternoon. I have space in between those commitments. I put the animal’s needs first! I love to do their favorite things with them. Running, playing fetch, cuddling, going to the park, going on walks, etc.

About: I've been around animals almost my whole life. I volunteered at an animal shelter in high school, have had cats of my own since 2013, pet sat cats and dogs for friends and family, and have had experience raising kittens as well as experience in TNR. Starting in late August I will be unable to visit your pet between 8am-12:30pm during the week as I am a part time preschool teacher. However, I can spend all weekend taking care of your pet. Even though I am working part time, I am more than happy to spend as much time as possible with your pet when you're not able to so they have company until you return home! As a life long animal lover, I understand pets are more than just an animal, they're part of the family. I take time to get to know each pet and will do all I can to ensure that they are always safe in my care, whether during a walk or pet sitting in your home.

I have specific experience with senior dogs, including the extra patience and attentiveness that comes with mobility issues, changes in appetite, and adjusted exercise needs. I'm comfortable administering medications — pills, liquids, or topicals — and keep careful notes on dosing and timing so nothing gets missed. My apartment includes an oversized outdoor patio for fresh air and relaxing evenings, and our community also has a dog run that's always accessible for exercise and playtime. Whether your dog is a high-energy pup or a slower-moving senior, I adjust my pace and attention to what they actually need. Pet care is my full-time focus, because I don't work outside the home, my schedule is wide open — which means I can offer walks and drop-in visits at the times that actually fit your pet's routine, not squeezed into a narrow morning-or-evening window like many sitters. Mornings are typically free for early walks or first visits of the day. I have consistent availability through the afternoon for midday drop-ins, potty breaks, or a second walk if your dog needs it. And I'm just as available in the evenings for a final walk or check-in before you're home. Whether your pet needs one visit a day or several spread throughout, I have the flexibility to actually be there when it counts. Safety and trust start with creating a calm, structured environment where pets can settle in and feel at home. My apartment is a full-time, attentive household — with two dogs and several cats of my own, pets who stay or visit here are never left alone for long stretches, and routines (feeding, medication, walks) are followed closely and consistently. I keep a close eye on interactions between visiting pets and my own animals to make sure everyone is comfortable, and I'm attentive to signs of stress so I can adjust the environment as needed — whether that means quiet separate space or supervised introductions. Outdoor time is always supervised, whether that's the patio, a walk, or the community dog run, and I take care to secure doors, gates, and any potential hazards throughout the home. Your pet's safety and comfort are treated with the same level of care as my own.

Before the first booking, I prefer a Meet & Greet to review feeding, water, litter boxes, walking routines, home access, emergency contacts, and any health or behavioral needs. During every visit, I make sure doors and gates are secure, keep dogs leashed outdoors, avoid interactions with unfamiliar animals, and respect your home. I also send photos and detailed updates about your pet’s food, water, bathroom habits, energy, and behavior.

“Amanda is a Pet Whisperer! She took care of our 2 kitties for a week with 2 visits each day - 1 morning and 1 evening visit each 30 minutes. One kitty is outgoing and self sufficient but the other is very shy and reserved. At the beginning of the week they were both hiding under the bed :( Over the week, she was able to engage with both of them and bring the shy one out of her shell. AND, by the end of the week, they were greeting her at the front door and interacting and playing with her at each visit. Each day she sent updated photos and detailed notes about how they were doing. In the past, when I've been gone they seem freaked out and nervous when I return - but this time when I got home they were their happy selves. I really can't say enough good things about Amanda. She is kind, caring and conscientious. She's a winner and I look forward to booking with her again soon!”

About: I don’t have problem taking caredogs. My friends and family used to relied on me to check in with, feed and play with their pets. I’m currently working part-time and it’s manageable, so I’ll have plenty of time to play with your pups I’m available boarding especially weekdays 7am onwards. My place is a free space for one dog at time especially to trained dog I dont do much restriction so dog can move and play around, I live close to lake in foster city and its so easy access to walk the dog any time in a day.
