About: I love all animals big and small. I've grown up with many animals in my life and anything I can do to help other pet owners,I'm excited and willing. I'm good at following instructions and can provide personalized care for your pets needs :) I’m currently caring for pets full-time, so I have flexible availability to provide attentive, dedicated care whenever your pets need it. They’ll get my full attention, ensuring they feel happy, comfortable, and well looked after. I currently have one dog and one cat so I prefer taking care of your pets in your home, I will follow all instructions left and am willing to send updates as requested, I believe I'm trustworthy and will provide the best care for any animal.
“Our dog is slow to warm up to people and on only the second time meeting Celia she warmed right up to her and was happy enough that they went on a solo walk together. Celia is punctual and very thoughtful. Definately recommend”

About: With years of hands on experience working and volunteering at animal shelters since high school, I bring a deep understanding of pet care and behavior to every sitting experience. I’ve had the privilege of caring for a wide variety of animals, which has given me the skills to adapt to the unique needs of every pet. Currently, I share my home with Sally, a 5-year-old Domestic Short Hair tabby who I adopted in 2024. She is the light of my life and reminds me daily of the importance of love, patience, and attentive care when it comes to our furry companions. Special Skills • Shelter Experience: Years of volunteer and work experience in shelters have equipped me to handle animals with diverse backgrounds and needs, from shy rescues to high-energy pets. • Multi-Species Expertise: Having cared for a variety of pets, I am comfortable with dogs, cats, and more exotic companions. • Behavioral Insight: Skilled in understanding and managing pet behaviors, including those of rescues or pets with anxiety. • Personalized Care: I believe every pet deserves individualized attention and make it my priority to ensure they feel loved and secure. I treat every pet I care for as if they were my own, providing the same love and attention I give to my dear Sally. With me, your pet will receive exceptional care and companionship. I am currently a very recent college graduate student who has full availability on the weekends and weekday availability depending on the time(s) requested. My schedule currently consist of work 5 days a week (any changes in my schedule will be noted). When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize maintaining their normal routine as closely as possible. I respect their space and follow all instructions regarding feeding schedules, exercise, playtime, and any special needs or medications. I ensure your home remains tidy and secure during my visits and keep you updated with regular messages or photos to provide peace of mind. Whether it’s spending extra time playing with an energetic pet or offering a calm, reassuring presence for a shy one, I adapt my approach to suit their personality and preferences.
About: I’ve taken care of my 2 dogs for 12 years. I grew up having 2 dogs and a cat to take care of at the same time, all different ages and breeds. I’m really into all animals and love just being able to be around them and meeting new ones. On my free time I volunteer at the Sequoia Park Zoo as well. I currently have a pretty open schedule. I definitely can accommodate and am open and flexible to working with your schedule as much as you need. I’ve been home alone a lot with my 2 dogs and had to raise them and a cat, so I talk and hang out quite a lot with pets when I’m around them. I really love petting animals as it gives me just as much enjoyment as it does them.
About: Hi! I have working around and with dogs and cats for most of my life, my grandma worked with fosters/rescues and at the Animal Shelter during my childhood and with the experience I have a very good understanding of how to handle most animals and provide them with love and care. I also have a 5 year old Border Collie who keeps me very busy, him and I spent 3+ years in intensive training (positive reinforcement only). This experience in training has helped me to understand cues, reactions and how to redirect with many different breeds of dogs. Thanks for checking out my profile, I’d love to help out with your pups and kitty’s! I am currently working part time so I have plenty of time to help out with your pets. Ideally late morning to evening and during the week is preferred but open to special circumstances! Ideally I would take care of your pets in your home as my yard is not fully fenced in and my dog Bean is territorial.

“Ember is great. My dog was happy when we returned from our trip. Just would of wanted more pictures of her playing with my dog. I reccomend her to care for your pet. Ember is sweet and reliable.”

About: I am a former dog trainer at Dog Gone Amazing training and boarding in Reno Nv for the past 4 and half years. I moved to Eureka to have a new start and would love to continue to work with animals. I’ve worked with many different breeds and many different temperaments. I currently have two dogs of my own and a cat as well. I’ve grown up with all sorts of animals, such a horses, chickens, sled dogs and cats. I would love to continue working with new pets and their owners! I currently have 2 dogs and a cat. I’ve also worked as a kennel tech at a boarding/training facility and then moved on to become a trainer at that same facility. I always recommend crates for any situation but in my own home I would crate all dogs and rotate based on how they all get along. Feeding in the crate or separate from other animals. Daily walks or hikes depending on the animal. Cats would get daily enrichment. If weather doesn’t permit or the animal isn’t able to get that day I’d offer mental enrichment such as lick mats, food puzzles, play, training, etc.
About: I have experience with dogs and cats, young and old, easy and "difficult". I am very adept at walking and caring for reactive dogs who can have a hard time with other dogs and/or humans, and do my best to avoid any situations that can trigger reactive behaviors. I'm also happy to help keep up any training routines, I'm pretty proficient in general dog training, but I know it always comes down to the individual dogs for what works best. I often have people remark about their pets who usually don't warm up to new people immediately taking a liking to me! I'm also totally respectful of animals who do need time to get to know new people and always meet them where they're at, so more than welcome to accommodate those who need more introduction time. I've had dogs in the family my whole life, and have lived with many cats as roommates, and I've loved them all. I've done extensive house sitting everywhere from big cities to rural areas, for periods of time as long as two months, caring for animals as well as the house and surrounding property. My schedule is very flexible so I can make sure I have plenty of time to give my full attention to your animal friends, I live in a sweet quiet neighborhood in Arcata near the bottoms that's great for regular walks, and I have a car and am happy to take pups out on more special adventures too! I always check in about what's best for each dog, and can tailor care around what their usual schedule is with walks and feeding, what kinds of play they like best, and any training routines I can help reinforce during our time together. I make sure to take extra care with reactive dogs and avoid any situations that may trigger them as best as possible.

About: As a pet lover, I understand how important it is to have someone trustworthy and experienced to take care of your furry family members when you can't be there. That's where I come in! What sets me apart from other sitters is that I truly love spending time with pets - it's not just a job for me. I have two lovable senior dogs of my own, Edger and Peggy, who have taught me so much about caring for older dogs. When I'm taking care of your pets, I make sure to give them lots of love and attention. I'll play with them, take them on walks, and of course, make sure they're well-fed and hydrated. I'm also happy to administer any necessary medications or special treatments. Overall, my goal is to make sure your critters feel happy, comfortable, and loved while you're away. As a busy college student, I know the importance of sticking to a schedule. That's why I make sure to plan ahead for any pet care requests. Ideally, I would love to have a week's notice so I can prepare accordingly and provide your furry friends with the best possible care. Times of unavailability are Mondays after 1 PM and on Thursdays before 12 PM. Other than that, I'm more than happy to work with you to find the best time for your pet's needs. 1. About: Hello, my name is Adam. I have been living in Humboldt county for six years. It's a beautiful place to explore and learn about nature. I enjoy spending time with our furry friends. We understand each other and get along great. Dogs, depending on health conditions, want to run and play and establish bonds with their pack. They want guidance and discipline coupled with novelty. No matter the size your pet is a wolf inside. Excercise, specifically running in formation, and playful socializing helps their mental well being. Dogs experience anxiety and boredom just like we do. Behaviors like excessive licking and barking could be signs that something's up. Allow me to take your best friend on daily adventures while reinforcing the commands and desired behaviors that you have already established.

Terry was an awesome pet sitter for my kitty! She is super nice, we met before she took care of my kitty while I was gone camping for a couple of days. She sent me pictures, and my kitty really loved her! I recommend her highly, and will definitely book her again. Thank you, Terry!

Great care and communication! She was very patient and kind with my kitten (he gets nervous around new people). It was great to see the progress he made while I was away through updates and pictures! I highly recommend Alexandra and would definitely book again!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Samoa. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
