“I cannot express how amazing Marissa has been!! My schedule has been insanely unpredictable and Marissa has been there for my pup throughout the whole thing. 1000000% recommend.”

About: Hi, I’m Hanna! I’ve been caring for animals since I was a kid, starting with feeding my neighbor’s 17 koi fish every morning at age 8. I’ve had dogs my whole life, including a Jindo and a Corgi that I raised from six months old. Today, I live with two cats and a puppy (all adopted from Austin shelters), so I’m very familiar with different animal personalities and needs. I recently volunteered with the Austin Animal Center, where I helped care for cats and matched them with adopters. I’m comfortable handling pets that are shy, energetic, or just need a little extra love and attention. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priority. I’m known for being reliable, calm, and detail-oriented. I’ll make sure your home stays secure and that your pets are happy and relaxed while you’re away. I will always treat your pets like my own, with lots of love and safety precautions! I am between jobs so I have all the time in the world to care for your babies. I am flexible based on your schedule. My cats are escape artists so I have become accustomed to making sure the house is always secure. I am always on the lookout for items that my cats may get that could cause them injury. I’m strict about safety in my own home when it comes to my pets, and you can expect the same for your place.

“I am so proud and amazed by how far our puppy Merle has come with Linda! For a not-so-trusting puppy, Linda has been making such a difference. From all the sweet pics and daily walk updates it sounds like he has opened his trust fully! And his walking at home has gotten SO MUCH BETTER! He really is getting the hang of things 🥰 Thank you so much Linda! 🫶🏻”

About: Growing up, I had three dogs, one of which I trained to play hide and seek, soccer, fetch, shake, sing, etc. I love animals so much and take really good care of them. I have even been dubbed the “dog whisperer” by several people over the years haha. Regarding more professional experience, in undergrad, I walked one of the chaplain’s dogs. This past summer, I walked and dog-sat for a few families. I’d love to help out in any way I can! I’m a graduate student at IUB, but generally speaking, I am free most mornings and nights, as well as on Fridays and the weekend. I’m pretty good at balancing my time, so I can be pretty flexible outside class hours. I pay a lot of attention to the animals in any home, and so I’d definitely play with them and give them much love. I’d follow any instruction about their feeding and/or walking schedule. I’ve cared for some pretty big dogs in the past, too!

About: I'm a lifelong dog lover — I've cared for dogs of all ages, from senior pups who need a little extra TLC to high-energy dogs who love to run and play. As a self-proclaimed dog person, I can't wait to shower your furry friend with love and attention until you're reunited. Because I work from home and have two dogs, I'm around most of the time. It's rare for me to be away from the house for more than a couple of hours, and if your pet needs full-time attention, I can make it work. I have a fenced yard that's been well battle-tested by my own dogs. I love staying active, so I'm happy to take your dog on a good morning walk or spend extra time stretching those legs in the backyard. As a very attached dog owner myself, I know how good it is to hear that things are going well, so I'm happy to send as many or as few photos as you'd like.

About: Dogs have always been a big part of my life. I grew up in a house full of dogs—pit bulls, pugs, and all kinds of lovable mutts. My family fostered dogs regularly, so I’ve been around a wide variety of breeds, sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. That experience taught me how to read dog body language, handle different behaviors, and help dogs feel safe and cared for in new environments. I now have a pit bull of my own who’s sweet, goofy, and full of personality. I’m confident handling strong breeds and love connecting with every type of dog. Whether your pup is high-energy or more laid-back, I’ll make sure they get the care and attention they deserve. I’m a strength and conditioning coach with a flexible schedule, so I can often accommodate early mornings, midday walks, and evening drop-ins. My work is mostly part-time, and I build my schedule week by week, which allows me to prioritize pet care. Reach out with your preferred times—I’m happy to work with you to make it fit! When caring for your dog in your home, I make safety and routine my top priorities. I’ll follow your instructions closely when it comes to feeding, potty breaks, walks, and any house rules—whether that’s keeping your pup off the furniture or giving them treats after a walk. I’m experienced with dogs who are shy, excitable, or strong-willed, and I always approach with patience and kindness. If your dog needs medications or has special care instructions, I’ll handle those with care and consistency. I’ll also keep you updated with messages and photos so you feel at ease while you’re away.

“We loved Mariia taking care of our pets for the week. She fed our cat and walked the dog twice a day- was always on time, clearly communicated, and was always friendly and professional. I would trust her in my home anytime.”

“Carolina has been the best walker I’ve had to date! She’s taken care of my pups in home, at her place, and last minute when work goes left. She’s great with them, they’re older and finicky. She goes out of her way to keep in touch and go the extra mile to take care of them. She is super flexible and works with me on my rash schedule to make things work for the dogs. She’s hands down the best experience I’ve had through Rover and the only walker for my dogs! Can’t recommend her enough.”

About: I have been an animal lover my entire life; some of my earliest memories are sitting on my family's back porch with a freezer pop and my arm slung over the shoulders of our big Great Dane. Formerly a Humane Society employee and currently a fitness trainer, mom, pet foster person, and rescue volunteer with a flexible schedule, I am dependable, hard-working, and a great communicator. I have experience with and am happy to care for cats, dogs, reptiles, and chickens. I would be honored to help provide the care and attention that will keep your pets healthy and happy. Contact me to book or set up a meet and greet - I'd love to meet you and your pets! As I am self-employed, I have a flexible schedule for pet care on a daily and weekly basis. I am available on both weekdays and weekends. I adhere to all safety and environmental measures you have set up for your pet and home, including crating, home security, monitoring, and other measures.

About: I’ve been honored to call a tabby cat named Gata and a pit bull named Louie my best friends in this lifetime. I know how much your fur babies mean to you because I know how much mine mean to me and I will do everything I can to ensure their safety, comfort, and happiness! I am experienced with other animal reactive pets and understand how these special buddies require patience, love, and understanding. Rest assured that as a social worker, I have endless patience and compassion to give to your fur babies. I look forward to becoming your pet’s newest best friend! I work full time and my schedule changes a bit but I can usually accommodate walks/drop ins before 9am and after 7pm. Afternoon walks/drop ins can be accommodated, we'll just need to discuss the best time for them. Because my schedule is a bit more unique, I'm big on communication and am open to discuss in advance any scheduling preferences. I am only offering drop in and walking services at the moment so I can give your pups and kitties some direct love, play, and attention in the comfort of their own home and environment.

About: I have more than two decades of experience taking care of my own cats and dogs. Additionally I have been a pet sitter for several of my friends, relatives, and neighbors over the years. I'm available most mornings between 8:30 and 11 and most evenings between 8 and 10. There will usually be one or two days a week when I'm available all day. I do not currently care for clients' pets in my home because I have pets of my own. When caring for pets in clients' home, I like to ask the clients about their rules and routines and follow those.

About: With 40 years of experience caring for cats and small dogs, I provide loving, reliable pet care. Skilled in administering shots and oral medications, I ensure your furry friends are happy, healthy, and well cared for while you’re away. Your pet’s comfort and safety are my top priority! I’m currently not working. So have plenty of free time. As I love pets and to take care of them, I want to try myself as a pet sitter:) I live in apartment complex with few dog parks nearby, all of them are fenced and well equipped! If I care for a pet in clients home, I will always ask about the routine and other questions to make sure your furry friend will stay happy while you’re away:)

About: We’re Claire and Juan Carlos, passionate animal parents and advocates who’ve always shared our lives with pets. Juan Carlos previously volunteered at the Austin Animal Shelter, and Claire has been pet sitting through Rover and word of mouth for over 10 years. Since Claire works from home, your pup will enjoy frequent potty breaks, playtime in the yard, and plenty of attention throughout the day. Our home is perfect for boarding, offering ample space, cozy couches for snuggles, and a large, fully fenced backyard for playtime—whether it’s squirrel chasing, ball fetching, or simply stretching those legs and sunbathing under the pergola. We have extensive experience caring for dogs during short weekend stays and extended visits lasting over two weeks. Your pup will also have the company of our two rescue dogs: Nelly, our senior foster Chihuahua, and Chucky, our playful one-eyed Shih Tzu who loves new friends. Our three cats are also well-adjusted to being around dogs. We’re an ideal match if your pup is accustomed and friendly to both small dogs and cats, enjoys snuggles, and has a medium to low energy level. While we can accommodate some higher-energy dogs, we strive to keep a calm, peaceful environment to ensure the comfort of our guests dogs, doggie residents, and the cats. If this sounds like the right fit for your pup, we’d love to hear from you! Feel free to reach out—we look forward to meeting you! — Holiday Note: Throughout November and December, we’ll be hosting a delightful group of friendly pups with welcoming personalities. Alongside our own two little ones, we may have 2-4 additional dogs at a time during the holiday season. Rest assured, we provide plenty of attention, space for play and relaxation, and accommodations for separate sleeping and dining as needed. However, if your pup prefers a solo environment, we might not be the best fit. If your pup loves playmates, we would love them to join our holiday pack :) Claire works from home, so is able to offer frequent potty breaks and plenty of attention to our four legged friends during the day. Nights and weekends we may leave to run errands but will not leave pups for longer than a 4 hour stretch and will ensure they have been property fed and exercised prior to leaving. Our lives fully revolve around our pets! Because of this, guest dogs are part of the family while they stay with us. We love to play outside, lounge on the couch, and take special care to attend to the specific and unique needs of whatever pets we have in our home.

“Given what an absolute treasure of a human being Jessica is, it's not at all surprising that she's as amazing at caring for dogs as she is. The unparalleled compassion, gentility, thought, and love she brings to caring for human beings are also experienced by all the fluffy, four-legged friends who are lucky enough to hang out with her. I've had the privilege of getting to witness her skills as a dog whisperer firsthand; they listen to her, they have fun with her, and she always goes the extra mile in taking care of them. She goes above and beyond to make sure they have everything they need, and she genuinely loves doing it. Brilliant, responsible, and tenacious, you can trust her with anything and never have to worry. I truly cannot recommend Jessica highly enough. There is nobody better out there.”

Saint Johns dog parents share their Rover experiences
My Priya is a nervous elder who requires a patient soul! Melissa came for an initial greeting and then came to visit Priya twice this week. Melissa has such patience as Priya warms up and takes her out on her time. This gives me such relief as I need to be in office more, knowing there is gentle, patient support nearby!

Wow - Joey was sincerely the greatest. His meet and greet was very comforting, and we face a lot of information. He made careful note of it all and then sent a summary message to me in river as we got closer to the trip if all the things I had discussed. We were then continuously at ease about pers as the days away went on. I love the rover app showing the walk distance and time spent. The videos he sent were really fun to watch, and he always gave a digestible but detailed report after each visit, again being careful to mention many of my notes throughout reassuring me that all was being handled. It was our first time to leave the dogs home alone and I am very happy with the exceptional care Joey took of my pets. We are new clients for sure.

Suzanne has been our first experience with Rover and the entire experience has been outstanding. They say that dogs are a good judge of character. If that is the case, then Suzanne is absolutely amazing! Beau LOVES Suzanne. You can tell that she genuinely cares for him. She spends extra time with him before and after their walk. She brushes his hair and sits on the floor, petting and talking to him. My husband and I are having health issues and Suzanne has helped us in many, many ways. I highly recommend Suzanne. She is diligent, very responsible, caring and compassionate. Thank you, Rover, for connecting us with Suzanne.
