About: I’ve taken care of animals ever since I was little, whether that was taking care of our cats and dogs or watching a neighbors pet. I worked in the veterinary field for a couple of years and a technician so I am comfortable administering any medications. I am open to sitting dogs of all ages, I just ask that if they aren’t potty trained to please provide a kennel. I have a border collie who loves to make friends so we hope to see your furry friends soon! I am currently a PhD student here at the U of A. I do have classes and work during the weekdays but I am available after 5pm. On the weekends me and my dog take it easy and stay in. I do live in an apartment complex. There are two dog parks present in the complex if you would want me to take your pet to run some energy out (but totally understand if you would prefer no visits to the dog park). I am able to crate any pet that needs to be I just ask that you supply the crate since I do not have one at this time. I do have a 7yr old border collie who loves to meet new friends and is very patient with energetic breeds. I take her on a long walk at least once a day and will definitely take any pet I watch on a long walk too (a girl has to get her steps in).

“I boarded my 20 pound Miniature Schnauzer with Ron for a period of ten days while in Hawaii. My pup is an important part of my family and I want him to feel as if he is also having a vacation while I am away. After carefully researching every available boarding option I decided on Ron. I met Ron for a meet and greet before the actual boarding and his responsible and trustworthy nature was evident. Ron also has a beautifully landscaped and secure back yard. Lastly, Ron's Poodle Lily made an excellent companion to my proportionately sized Miniature Schnauzer. In my opinion, the combination of these qualities make's Ron the best choice for small dog boarding in Tucson. My schnauzer had a joyous time frolicking and cuddling with Ron's poodle while I was away. Ron did a great job of sending photos. The photos showed that my pup was eating, enjoying time on the couch and even cuddled in bed next to Ron's poodle. I received photos throughout my trip (not just the first few days) and these photos convinced me that my pup was having just as much fun as I was. Ron is a primary school teacher which is an occupation that I have much respect for and is illustrative of his good character. Ron also has a love of plants which is evident in his beautiful green yard with lots of shady places for dogs to rest and play. I was also very pleased that Ron has a dog door that my 20 pound schnauzer was able to fit through easily for constant back yard access. Overall, I do not think there is a better choice for small dog boarding in Tucson. My pup actually seemed sad to leave Ron and his poodle Lily. It was a great opportunity for my dog to socialize and play with another well trained dog. My dog came back happy, well exercised and without a trace of anxiety. In conclusion, Ron is a kind, intelligent, and caring animal lover. I would not hesitate to board my much loved miniature schnauzer with him next time I go on vacation. Ron's tranquil home and general attitude make the experience a vacation for your pet.”

“Our energetic 2 year old Golden Doodle just spent 5 glorious days with Lara and her family. Lara sent MANY photos and videos and it was clear that Clancy was having a wonderful time. He had never seen a horse before but learned to walk alongside one and also alongside their buggy pulled by a miniature horse! Going to Lara’s is like sending your dog to a 5 star resort. (I kind of wanted to stay at their beautiful home and property myself!) It was a comfort to know that Clancy was well cared for. I cannot recommend Lara enough! Clancy will be going back!”

Leaving our dogs with someone new is incredibly stressful, especially when you’re going to be gone for an extended period. After a previous boarding experience that clearly wasn’t a good fit for our pups, I promised myself I would find a more personal, home environment the next time we traveled. Ron exceeded every expectation. From the moment we met him, it was clear he genuinely loves dogs. Throughout our entire trip, he sent daily updates and photos, which gave us tremendous peace of mind. Instead of wondering how they were doing, we could actually see they were happy, relaxed, and having fun. Our two Shih Tzus, Hali’a and Fitz, settled in beautifully. They even learned to use the doggie door! They had the opportunity to interact with Ron and his sweet dogs, Lily and Cannoli, and it was obvious they were treated like part of the family instead of being left in a kennel. As pet parents, there’s nothing more valuable than being able to enjoy your vacation knowing your dogs are safe, loved, and well cared for. Ron gave us exactly that. We were so impressed that we’ve already booked with him again. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend Ron to anyone looking for someone who will care for their pets as if they were his own. Patrick was absolutely wonderful! Communication was excellent before and during our pet's stay with him. This is the second time we have used Ashley's pet-sitting services, and I feel like a family member is watching out dogs. Ashley is so kind and sweet with our pups. I think they like her better than us! :-) Ashley is amazing. She keeps in contact with you while you are away. She sends messages and videos to update you on your pets' stay. For us, the personal touch is what sets Ashley apart from other pet-sitting services.
Jessica was great! Knowing my Maple was well taken cared of and loved while I was on vacation brings me so much peace. I hate leaving her and stress about it a lot, but Jessica eased that stress, making my trip more enjoyable and giving my pup a fun experience while I was away. Plus she communicated well and was accommodating when my return flight was delayed. I def recommend her and will be booking with her again. ☺️
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!! Steve is helpful, friendly, smart, caring, knowledgeable, kind - I can’t say enough good things about him. My sister needed emergency surgery, so at the last minute I had to find someone to watch her dog. Boy, am I glad I chose Steve! He was great with her! He went above and beyond! If anyone needs a dog sitter Steve is the one to pick!
Judy is so awesome with our dog! He is a small, elderly dog with a ton of energy and love to give. She made such an effort to make sure that she was a good match for him before we even booked. She took her time to introduce him to her dogs, her house herself etc.... and it really helped my dog feel at ease. While we were away, she was extremely communicative if there were questions about my dog... and she also shared numerous photos of him with us so we knew how he was doing frequently. Cooper always feels great and happy when I go to pick him up. I can tell that he was well cared for and loved and that really means so much. 1000% recommend booking with Judy.
My dog Ruxtin had the best time ever at Barbara’s! . He played all day with the other dogs and came home happy and exhausted.
