I miss having a dog
I've had three wonderful dogs in my adult life. My most recent one, Buzz, passed away in August 2020 at the age of 15 years and I resigned myself to the reality that he was the last dog that I would have. Still, every time I see a dog on TV or in some online video -- or even when I cruise dog-adoption sites -- I realize that I miss having one around even though I know I just can't own another dog. SO...why not have a dog that's not actually mine!!! I love dogs and I've found that most dogs I meet seem to know that. In many regards, I consider myself to be a two-legged canine! Would enjoy having a dog back in my life, even if it's only mine when I'm needed to walk, watch and/or care for it!

Dan is great and so fast and easy to communicate with. Also Scout loves being with him! I can always go out of town with ease knowing Scout is with Dan and in good hands.
Dan did a terrific job watching Pip. He has a calm disposition that fit well with Pips nature. He was very comfortable with caring for him, and kept us up to date with photos and communication. We would definitely use him in the future if he is available.
Very good experience as a first time rover/dog boarding user. Dan took very good care of Yukon and I am very thankful for that. He really cares about dogs and follows routines as laid out. Would definitely recommend!!

Schedule
I'm retired and dog-less so watching someone else's dog is a delight for me. And, if I have to run an errand, I'm rarely gone for more than two hours. Bottom line is that my schedule is the dog's schedule and vice versa!

Safety, trust & environment
I live in an apartment community that has a campus-like feel to it so there are lots of trees and grassy areas. Even has a little dog park. Oh...and it has lots of dogs! Buzz loved it here. If a larger dog park is required, I'm not far from the Morris K. Udall dog park. My apartment is a ground floor studio that's comfortable for a small/mid-sized dog -- or even large ones!!!
A typical day
I'm retired so I'm home most of the day everyday -- a pretty constant companion to any canine guest. Basically, we hang, which relatively calm and/or older dogs seem to enjoy. For the more active ones, we play ball or with any of the toys that the dog brings with them. And, we walk. My apartment community has a park/campus-feel to it in addition to a small community dog park that's right across from me. This way, for dogs that may have an "issue" with other dogs, I can make sure that the park is empty before going there! As for the nighttime, if the dog wants to spend the night on my bed, that would be wonderful!
