About: I’ve taken care of animals ever since I was little, whether that was taking care of our cats and dogs or watching a neighbors pet. I worked in the veterinary field for a couple of years and a technician so I am comfortable administering any medications. I am open to sitting dogs of all ages, I just ask that if they aren’t potty trained to please provide a kennel. I have a border collie who loves to make friends so we hope to see your furry friends soon! I am currently a PhD student here at the U of A. I do have classes and work during the weekdays but I am available after 5pm. On the weekends me and my dog take it easy and stay in. I do live in an apartment complex. There are two dog parks present in the complex if you would want me to take your pet to run some energy out (but totally understand if you would prefer no visits to the dog park). I am able to crate any pet that needs to be I just ask that you supply the crate since I do not have one at this time. I do have a 7yr old border collie who loves to meet new friends and is very patient with energetic breeds. I take her on a long walk at least once a day and will definitely take any pet I watch on a long walk too (a girl has to get her steps in).

“Carina and her family were absolutely wonderful to Noah. We needed a last minute sitter for longterm care and she was quick in responding to us. We were hesitant at first as we never booked a sitter prior to this and Noah was adopted from PACC within the year so we couldn't provide 100% information about his character. Carina was very patient with him and took him on walks he had many cuddles with her family. She updated us frequently while we were out of the country and even offered to purchase his treats that we forgot to leave with her. We will 100% rebook with her the next time we are in need! Very happy with my puppy’s first boarding experience. My dog is young but Vicky handled him really well. I think Vicky has a natural talent caring for dogs and she offered me some helpful tips when he’s home with me. Would ask Vicky again to care for Frankie ( and already have) thank you .
We are so grateful we found Sylvie to watch our 2 furbabies while we were gone last week. Sylvie is wonderful! Her home is filled with lots of love and it is clear she cares for each of the furbabies as if they are her own. She sent videos and was responsive to check ins for our pups. They had lots of room to roam, enjoyed play time with the other pups, and snuggling with Sylvie. Both our babies came home happy. Highly recommend! We will be back.
Great first visit with Uncle Pat! Kit Kat bonded right away, with treats, brushings and even made a new puppy friend! Pat took the time to understand all his quirks with a meet and greet. Made drop off and pick up a breeze. Have to adjust to afternoon and evening hours, but that wasn't a problem for us. Appreciate all of the daily pics and updates. Looking forward to our next stay!
Tanner is awesome!! He was able to watch my rambunctious doggo last minute and took excellent care of him. His own dog also is very friendly and helped my dog warm right up when he’s been afraid of other dogs in the past. I got daily photos and updates and felt very assured he was well taken care of. Given her age, limited sight and hearing, and lack of teeth, she requires extra attention, and your home and attention to her was absolutely perfect for her. Charlotte took great care of our doggo during our short weekend trip. She was available for our last minute request and over a holiday weekend, which we really appreciated, and was very flexible with drop-off and pick-up timing. Our dog seems like he had a great time with her. Would definitely recommend and will look to book with her again!
Such a great boarding experience! My little guy was having some tummy troubles leading up to his stay and Logan was great at keeping me up to date with how he was doing. My travels were affected by traffic getting back into town and Logan was super helpful with coordinating drop off and pick up. My dog came home happy and had clearly had a great stay! He even was wearing a cute bandana when I picked him up! So grateful for Logan's flexibility and the care he gave my little buddy while I was away!
We had a meet-and-greet where all three dogs were on their best behavior, and we were hoping that introduction would carry over to the actual sitting. It was the opposite. One of the dogs marked the apartment from stress and Melissa told us it was a reason she might not sit for us again. All three cried at the front door for the first thirty minutes and she let them key off each other's anxiety rather than separating them, which made the first stretch harder than it needed to be. Our previous sitter separated them and they settled much faster. She also suggested we book three separate sitters, which is expensive and a logistical nightmare when you're traveling. If your dogs are reactive to each other when anxious, it's worth asking about her approach before booking. We're hoping that with repeated visits the dogs will get more comfortable with her and it will get easier. Consistency with one sitter is the key.
If I could give a hundred stars, I would! Chris was AMAZING with my sweet boy! I have never had to leave him before and we are very dependent on each other since I work from home, we are together 24/7. I was so concerned about how stressed he would be, plus he recently was diagnosed with Idiopathic Vestibular Disease which makes him a little unsteady and dizzy. I was so worried about his ability to navigate a strange place with someone he didn’t know. I was literally sick with worry! But Chris was the best sitter I ever could’ve hoped for. He was patient and kind and gentle with my beautiful boy and I feel as though he genuinely cared for him. He was excellent with sending me updates about how he was adapting during my 10 day family trip to Scotland. He sent me so many wonderful pictures and videos, and was always very responsive if I was just missing my boy and wanted to check in on him. I never had a delay in response from him, I never had to worry that something was wrong for even a second. I’d never dream of trusting Otis with anyone other than Chris from here on out. I can’t recommend him enough! Thank you again, from the bottom of my heart! I am so grateful 🙏🏻
