“Arianna did great watching our two dogs and staying at our house for a couple of nights. She did exactly what we asked of her and was very communicative. Sending photos and updates.”

“Alyssa was wonderful with our two high energy dogs and mellow cat. She gave each of them special attention following their feeding instructions perfectly. She sent along pictures while we were away and left our home spotless . Alyssa took great care of our fur family. Highly recommend”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Madeline was absolutely wonderful! She took great care of both my pets and my home while I was away. I came back to happy, well-cared-for pets and a house that was clean and well-maintained. She was reliable, attentive, and clearly loves animals. I had complete peace of mind knowing everything was in such good hands. I highly recommend Madeline to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter!”

“Lindsay was great! She sent daily updates and photos of our dogs and took great care of them while we were away. Our dogs seemed to love her! She also left our house nice and clean. We would definitely use Lindsay again next time we need someone to watch our dogs. Thank you Lindsay!”

“Ayla & Han are great!!! They took great care of my pup while we were gone for a full week. They are trustworthy, clean, and easy to communicate with/contact. I will hopefully get to use them again for future trips.”

“Sarah is great with our needy cats, and always sends very descriptive updates with plenty of pictures which is much appreciated. She’s very trustworthy and we feel very comfortable having her in our home!”

“Natasha did an exceptional job taking care of our two dogs. She is friendly, courteous and our dogs ooved her. One of our pups is a little skittish with strangers but Natasha was the first person he has ever liked right off the bat. This was our longest time away from our dogs but Natasha was great at keeping in touch with texts and pictures. She is also prompt and on-time so you do not have to worry about her showing up to watch your pets. She not only took great care of our dogs but she took great care of our house. We would highly recommend Natasha to anyone and we will definitely be booking her again for our pet sitting needs.”

“Ion was wonderful with Nora. She got loads of attention. She was very well cared for. Ion sent regular pictures and updates, so we had no worries. We would 100 % recommend him and will definitely use him again. Our home was left spotless. A++.”

“Caleb did an awesome job house-sitting for us. He took great care of our old puppy making sure he was comfortable and happy while we were away for a week. He also took good care of the house like taking the trash out without being asked, taking some misdelivered packages over to the neighbors, and keeping the house clean and in good shape. Next time we need a house-sitter we will definitely reach out to Caleb and hope that he is available.”

“Everything went perfect with Billie watching over the house and Canella. She is a lovely individual and is willing to do whatever is needed. I could tell that Canella was calmer when I got back than the last time I went out of town. That shows that she was really comfortable with Billie. I will definitely call on her again next time I need to travel.”

“Thomas was exceptional!! He took wonderful care of our dogs and our home. Thomas walked our girls every day, kept me up to date with how they were doing and asked any clarifying questions he needed. I was so impressed and incredibly grateful for his care. I will definitely be rebooking!”

About: I have grown up with many different dogs in my life! I have had small, medium, and large dogs that all vary in energy levels. Most of my dogs have been senior dogs so I’m very well versed in how to take care of the older ones! I’ve had to move out away from my pets so I’m very sad to not take care of any of them right now but that makes me more excited to take care of ones that need it. I am a student so I will be gone for a couple hours during the day but my mornings and nights are completely free! I will also be able to stop by after class to check on your pets! The pets in my home get a lot of love and comfort. Most times the dogs in my house get snacks throughout the day and one full meal at night, but whatever your specific dogs needs are I can fulfill. My dogs are very energetic so I am accustomed to going for long walks at least once a day.
“Annabelle was really great about keeping us updated about our dogs and sending lots of pics. She also walked them every day even though we told her she didn't have to!”

“Eva is wonderful. We were out of town for 5 days and she stayed in our home and took care of our dog and 2 cats. We were a bit nervous, as our dog has issues with separation anxiety. However, Eva introduced her dog to our dog - they got along great - and had her dog here as we left, which made our departure much easier! She later took her dog home, recognizing that our cats were less happy with the addition. ? Eva was great about keeping in touch with us and sending us pictures and it made being away SO much easier. Additionally, she took great care of the house! The kitchen was spotless when we returned and she had even stripped the sheets from her bed. Bottom line is that Eva is great with animals, and very responsible. While it always feels a bit awkward to have an unknown person stay in your home, I would absolutely hire Eva again and highly recommend her!”

“Fiona was excellent! She was very communicative throughout her visits and kept me updated with photos and messages. Several of our animals are shy rescues, but they quickly warmed up to her, which says a lot about how kind and patient she is. It was clear they loved her, and we’ll definitely book with her again!”

About: I've been watching my neighborhood and family pets since before I was ten. My family has relied on me for their care and my friends have been able to travel without worry. I am happy to feed, bathe, medicate, walk and discuss their needs. I am usually off on Thursdays and always off on Sundays. I work full time and am I need of a dog sitter of my own. While in the client's home I would check food and water, most likely do a check of the house (example: dog has a history of eating cat poop or getting into the trash). I would respect their home by looking after the home and the loved ones within it.

About: I am a big time animal lover that has taken care of dogs, cats and rabbits for over 8 years. Neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to check in with, feed and play with their animals. I’m currently working 4 10 hour days with Fridays and weekends off. I would be able to hang out with or stop in with your pets in the morning and evening Monday-Thursday or anytime Friday-Sunday I can stop by or stay over and do whatever is needed to take care of the pets in my clients’ home including crating, feeding, letting outside and more!
“Brooke did so great with our dogs! Sent pics and didn’t worry at all when we were gone. Dogs were very happy when we got back from our trip. Would definitely trust her to watch our dogs again in the future!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Roxborough Park
This was another wonderful experience booking Polly and Jeremy. They consistently provide truly exceptional care, and we feel completely at ease whenever our dog is in their hands. As usual, they were fantastic, but we especially appreciate how incredibly attentive they are to our senior dog. Managing his regimen of several daily medications can be challenging, but Polly and Jeremy handle it with professional competence and a level of dedication that is truly comforting. It’s rare to find sitters who are so reliable and genuinely caring, and we highly recommend them.

Angie was absolutely wonderful with our dog! We came home to a happy, relaxed, and clearly very well cared for dog and home! We appreciated the thoughtful updates and photos throughout the stay — it gave us such peace of mind. Would definitely book with Angie again!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Roxborough Park on Rover is $57.78 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Roxborough Park walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Roxborough Park maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Roxborough Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
