“Krystyna & Sara are AWESOME!! If you have a dog that needs to board somewhere, you don't have to second guess leaving it with these two great hosts!! My pup was EXHAUSTED after picking him up, the house dog Bernie, did a great job matching Whiskey's energy and wore him out. He's still catching up on his sleep the next day! LOL. We even found out that he's good with cats! I will be boarding my dog there again next month. A++++++. experience.”

“Bob was great! i would highly recommend using him. he was flexible, responsive, and took great care of our dog! Effi came back chilled and i think it’s the vibe he lets off with the dogs.”

“We are so grateful to have found Paul & Megan! From the meet & greet to Lilly's extensive 11 night stay, it was evident that Paul & Megan have a genuine care for dogs and treat them with love and individualized attention. The daily pictures and updates of Lilly's activites always brought a smile to our face and were reassuring that she was happy, safe and comfortable. We would highly recommend Paul & Megan and will definitely be using them whenever we need a sitter for Lilly.”

“As usual, Gienna was wonderful, providing great care for Wagner. We got daily updates with photos and videos. Wagner clearly loves staying with Gienna and really bonded with Maggie. We feel really confident leaving Wagner with Gienna and have already booked more stays!”

“David took great care of our senior dog while we were away for four days. He went above and beyond to accommodate her and her somewhat difficult needs given her age. We will absolutely use him again!”

“Piper came back happy from Belinda’s! Belinda was very responsible, flexible, and made sure to slowly introduce Piper to her own pup! If I am back in town with Piper I will definitely reach out to her again!”

“Faith was not one bit short of amazing, she sent pictures and updates of our pup, Stella, throughout the entire vacation. We were worry warts because Stella is a very high energy pup with a big personality, but Faith had everything under control and wasn't even phased by the excited first meeting. Stella was very tired after her long weekend with Faith and fellow puppers, so we knew she had a great vacation herself. She will be returning in a couple months for about a week and it will not be her last time!”

“Daisy watched our dog Bentley for a long weekend. Daisy was great with Bentley, she is very understanding and kind . In the past our dog Bentley got very anxious and nervous when we went away, he was very comfortable with her and happy for the time we where gone. We already booked Daisy for a week long stay in the end of January!”

“Jennifer and her family were so wonderful. They provided a lovely and safe home for Walter while we were on vacation. Her dog Molly even taught our dog good manners. Highly recommended!!!”

“Rita and her fur-fam gave my boy the most wonderful vacation. She is not paid what she is worth - she knows dogs at an expert level, she loves them, her place is set up perfectly for a dog vacation. I was a nervous new mom to leave my dog, but Rita and her two sweet dogs gave my Donut the best experience, opening his personality in wonderful ways and putting me at peace. Thank you for the tlc and ease, and your time, Rita.”

“Natasha and Jonathan kept this first time dog Daddy at ease the whole time. I had to go into the hospital last minute for emergency procedures and they helped me tremendously and they kept me updated everyday with pictures that made it a little bit easier for me to be separated from my baby girl. I highly recommend them.”

“I’m a person who has a lot of difficulty trusting someone with my dogs- I’m very close with them. I’m positive many of the folks reading this review can say the same. It can be difficult to find someone trustworthy, reliable, and communicative. It can be even more difficult to find someone who is all of those things AND is excellent with dogs. My family has hit the absolute jackpot with Karen’s services. Our older dog has separation anxiety, takes medication, and needs a consistent presence to be successful. We never had to doubt whether Karen could fill these needs for him, and she’s delivered every time. Our younger dog has a lot of energy and has to be let out frequently- Karen’s flexibility and home/yard are perfect to meet those needs. Karen sent us pictures and videos throughout each of my dogs’ stays and provided detailed updates as to how they are doing. We will absolutely be back again, we can’t recommend her enough! 6/5 stars!”

“Jade was amazing ! My dog has a lot of anxiety/some trauma and is very difficult to find someone willing to watch him. He did so well with Jade! She learned his triggers quickly and said he was great for her. I will definitely be booking again!”
“Jennifer was a wonderful care taker for our dog. She was patient and kind. Kept us updated on a longer stay. We will definitely use her services again. Thank you.”

“Dolev was great with Mocha. Mocha was a little anxious when I left her (normal for her) but she settled in beautifully. I got a lot of pictures of Mocha having fun and playing with Dolev and the smaller humans :). I felt relieved that Mocha was getting a ton of attention and Dolev was great about communicating back with us. I'll definitely book with her again!”

“My dog had a wonderful week with Kathy. You can tell that she truly cares for the dogs she's watching. Kathy is excellent at communicating, which is the best. We had videos and updates more than once a day. It was reassuring and helpful to see our dog playing and running with pals. Also, her fences are great so I wasn't worried about my 9 pound dog escaping! I will not hesitate to board with her again.”

About: Have cared for multiple pugs for over 40 years. Taught all my dogs tricks and how to swim. Have a disabled daughter who just loves them all day long. I'm retired, and my disabled daughter lives with us, as well as my son and his husband. My daughter and I are home all day. We take our dog Winnie for daily walks, and have a large 1.5 acre yard in an isolated neighborhood. We sometimes go to dog parks or on local hiking paths. We have a 1.5 acre parcel in a quiet neighborhood. Plenty of outdoor space for fun. Our house is large. We primarily stay downstairs and have a nice den where care for our pug. Dog would have to go up and down stairs, as care/sleeping is in lower level.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
