We have already booked another overnight stay and we highly recommend Rebeca.”

“Leslie is truly exceptional, and we cannot recommend her highly enough! Our cat, Lucy, usually lets us know how unhappy she is about being left alone (lots of demanding meows and yelling, especially when we go into the office), but when we got home after Leslie's care, Lucy was totally relaxed and quiet. It was clear she was happy and well-cared for the entire time! Leslie sent regular, detailed updates with great photos showing Lucy happy and engaged. She followed all the instructions perfectly and gave Lucy tons of love and playtime. Knowing Lucy was so stress-free while we were away is the best peace of mind. Leslie is our go-to sitter from now on!”

About: I’ve had dogs since young and I’ve loved to train them and work with them. I also really enjoy talking dogs for walks because it is super peaceful and fun. I am currently a college student who is already active. I go for runs at least 3 times a week and can incorporate more walks into my routine. I will abide by the clients rules and how they walk their animal. I also will try to create a bond with the pet so they want to go with me or allow me in their home.
“Jeanne was very communicative and knowledgeable about our cat’s medical needs. I trusted her wholeheartedly to stay with and take wonderful care of our senior cat.”

About: I have been dog sitting since I was in middle school. Friends, family, friends of friend, and neighbors have trusted me with their furry family members. As someone who has a little pup myself, I know the care and consideration each individual animal needs and deserves. I've worked with a variety of breads, behaviors, and ages and feel equipped to ensure a safe walk, play time, or check in for your dog. Personally, I've adopted a puppy Cairn Terrier, Ruckus. I've loved training with him, creating a bond, and learning more about dog behavior. It's been a really fun journey. He's a sassy little guy. I have been off Rover for the past few years, moving around and attending Grad School. I am excited to be back to help the Essex community care for their pets. I currently work from home, full time. I have flexibility in my schedule to do walks and drop in visits for your dog. Where I can provide full and undivided attention. When I have a dog I'm looking after, I will ensure safety and fun - however that looks for your doggie. Going for a walk, playing catch in the yard, or even just laying on the couch getting some pets. Your pet will be my priority for the duration of my visit.
“I feel like I won the lottery getting Charles and Theresa to look after our cat Buffy and my 4 mice. Buffy is extremely anxious around new people, but they were so sweet and patient with her. They talked to her and played her calming kitty music during each visit. I appreciated that they sent such detailed notes after every visit. That combined with the lovely pics they sent (not always easy with a nervous cat and energetic mice!) put my mind at ease so we could really enjoy our trip. Seriously they could charge extra for these pictures. They’re now some of my favorite pictures of the babies. Thank you x a million!!”

“Michael provided excellent care for our two cats. He was consistent with twice daily drop-ins while we were away on a week- long trip. He gave updates with adorable pics of our babies after each visit and even spent some time playing with them! It gave us peace of mind, knowing our kitties were in good hands while we were away! We highly recommend him!”

About: I am no stranger to the animal world. I have been active in the horse world since five years old. I have over fifteen years of hands on experience with animals of all shapes and sizes; Dogs, cats, horses, livestock, chickens and other various farm animals. I have experience training dogs and a love for working with older rescues! Taking care of the four dogs, horses, and chickens at home requires us to be up by 7 in the morning. My weekend work schedule can be quite busy during the summer seasons, and my weekly schedule tends to be constant yet unpredictable. Please feel free to ask about the scheduling details, as I am very flexible. We have spacious runs, 30 to 60 feet long, and across the road, there are hundreds of acres of trails for our animals to explore. Our mission is to keep them engaged and active, as their world is shaped by what we provide. With plenty of stimulation, we can effectively manage behavior and craft positive relationships.
About: I have a lot of patience for animals and I love entertaining them, whether that’s playing with them or going on a long walk. For the younger ones, or ones that just have more energy, I would love to run them and keep them in shape. I am super flexible this summer, aside from a few weeks of travel, so whatever works for you works for me. My main priority is going to the gym, but other than that I’m all yours! Whether it’s feeding, walking, brushing, playing, or simply snuggling, I’m always giving my full attention and affection. Also, I think mental stimulation is often overlooked in animal care so I try to incorporate fun games and activities.
“Ms Laura is amazing! She makes being away from my babies much easier and often goes above and beyond in her visitation notes. She is kind, communicative, and often able to accommodate last minute visits. Highly recommend!”

About: I take pride in my skills to take care of families pets because I treat them how I’d want anyone to treat my own pup. I’ve had pets for as long as I can remember from dogs to cats to rabbits to fish. It can be so tough leaving pets behind, so my hope is to give you some peace of mind while you are gone! I am able to work with your needs to ensure your reservation for care will work with my schedule and your needs. However I can help best! I am glad to offer home care but do not currently offer boarding at my home. I follow all directions given to ensure your pet’s schedule stays consistent

About: Growing up in a home with six sweet, affectionate cats taught me how to speak feline fluently. I understand that every cat has a distinct personality—from social cuddle bugs to independent observers—and I tailor my care to their individual comfort level. Whether it’s maintaining precise feeding schedules, administering medicine, or engaging in interactive play with feather wands, I provide patient, gentle attention. My background with feline body language and varied temperaments ensures your cat feels safe, respected, and thoroughly pampered in their own routine.
“Jordyn was extremely easy to work with and understanding when circumstance changed. Wish we’d been able to complete our reservation with her as scheduled, but again, appreciate her humanity and understanding when we needed to cancel. Round recommend Jordyn to be others, wholeheartedly.”

“Janine was very conscientious when taking care of my cat on overnights. She send multiple photos with comments which put me at ease. She followed my instructions very well. My house seems to be a bit cleaner than when I left it too.”

“My two cats had a lovely time staying with Laney for a little over 2 weeks. She sent lots of pictures, and even my shy and timid cat came out of his shell for Laney and her roommates. It helped me enjoy vacation more knowing my cats were having a good time too!”

“Shawna is a genuinely caring person who really took the time to understand what my cat (and I) wanted from her. Communication was excellent. I would not hesitate to book with her again.”

“Julie was great. Offered a quick meetup to get Betsy Lou acquainted which was perfect. The next day, Betsy Lou went right up to her tail wagging. I was very comfortable leaving her with Julie. Everything in was smooth and easy, and most of all my dog loved Julie and her family!”

“Elizabeth was outstanding. She has a genuine love for animals . My dog took instantly to her warm and friendly personality. She has a beautiful fenced in yard for the dogs to run freely. We felt very comfortable keaving our dog with Elizabeth.”
“Kristin and Bobby watched our dog with a last minute call when we were vacationing in the Boston area. When we took our dog in the morning they came out to meet us and made sure that our dog was comfortable with them and their home. Our dog took right to both them and their dog. During the day my dog was exercised, fed and played with. I was very happy with our experience and would highly recommend them if you need a dog sitter.”

“Rosie is having so much fun with Brooke and Willow! Every picture Brooke sends shows Rosie looking happy as a clam and she’s super excited in the morning when she realizes she’s at Willow’s house. Thanks for wearing her out!!!”

“Jade watched my two pups with very different needs (one is small, 15 years old; the other is 1.5 yo husky mix) for the day as we were going through town on a road trip. We needed somewhere for the pups to be while we did a non-dog friendly day. Jade was super responsive and accommodating. The dogs happily walked off with her without any hesitation (I trust them to read the situation). She asked good questions about their care, entertained the pup during the day by introducing her to a doggy walking pad inside since it was extremely hot out. She also quickly and easily accommodated an earlier pick up when we finished up early. While we aren’t local to use her again, I would do it if the need arises. Much better than a kennel! Pups were happy when we picked up.”

“Our dog had a great stay with Lisa! It was so nice to be able to leave him with someone with a lot of dog experience and clearly a lot of love for dogs. Our dog got along great with her dog. We would absolutely have him stay with Lisa again.”

“Rose has been great for us and more importantly for Roy this week. She has a great location that allows for plenty of outdoor activity and has a friendly dog of her own that loves to play. This was perfect for our Doberman puppy. Highly recommended”

About: I love being surrounded by animals and have been around pets my entire life. For a long time now, I’ve been rescuing lost dogs and helping them find safe, loving homes. Currently, I have three dogs and a cat at my country house, as well as a 10-year-old senior dog at home. One of my dogs in the countryside is partially blind, and I'm the one who takes care of his special needs. This has given me great hands-on experience with senior and special-needs pet care. Spanish is my native language, and my home is fully bilingual! My kids are completely fluent in English and are always here to help with communication for all booking details and updates. Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine because I am at home all day. My daily life revolves around taking care of my dog, maintaining our home, and waiting for my husband and children to return from work and school. Currently, my daughter is starting college this August, so I am looking for extra income to help pay for her tuition. This work is a perfect match for me because it naturally aligns with my everyday schedule, allowing me to give visiting pets full-time attention, love, and constant companionship. In my home, pets are treated like part of the family. Since I spend my entire day at home, your pet will have constant presence and attention, a safe outdoor space, quiet walks and specialized care experience.
“Ana took such wonderful care of my dog for the past two full days, even with a last-minute reservation. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing my dog was in such good hands. She made sure she got plenty of walks and lots of attention. I’m so grateful and would absolutely book with her again!”

“Shelby is great and I feel Tory is taken care of when she is there. She is a plus for us when we go to Amesbury to visit daughters & grandkids as they live a mile from Shelby and if we go out where dogs aren’t allowed Rory doesn’t have to stay alone bc Shelby is so close.”

“Mac had a wonderful day with Robert and his pups. He had never been to a dog sitter before so we were a bit anxious about leaving him. We had a meet and greet before the day visit and when Mac got to Bob’s house on the day of the visit, Mac remembered that it was a place with people that he liked. Bob’s updates through the day made us rest easy that Mac was being well cared for. We loved the report card and pictures that we got at the end of the visit. We look forward to our next booking with Bob.”

“Jodi was very accommodating with us to have our dog cared for while we are visiting the area. She has a great backyard for dogs to play. She also gave us great recommendations for things to do and where to get the best clam chowder. If we are ever back visiting we hope Jodi will be available to take care of Nelly.”

“Happy to leave a review of Collette and tipping is out of control so there will be no tip and I am guessing that is OK. I'm a bit taken aback by the request actually. Maybe because I am a senior. Collette was a dream! We will be doing more of this. GSDs are distinct dogs and not everybody likes them. It was clear from the start that Collette was up to the GSD challenge. They sometimes are too smart for their own good. A big thanks to Collette!”

I also send regular updates, photos and videos so you can relax knowing your best friend is in loving hands. Just for extra reassurance, I don’t invite people into your home. The only time I ever have was for a family I’d been sitting for over many years, and I made sure to ask first—I only had my dad over for dinner because it was Thanksgiving during that stay. Aside from that, I would never invite friends or anyone else over, as I personally find that disrespectful.

“Chester is a senior and still recovering from CCL surgery, so we were concerned about leaving him. Rebeca came highly recommended and we are happy to add our recommendation. Rebeca and her family were patient and accommodating to ensure Chester was comfortable and stayed within his activity limits (so important for recovery). She also sent pictures every day. We have already booked another overnight stay and we highly recommend Rebeca.”

“Fantastic sitter! Very responsible and straightforward. Communication was smooth and clear throughout the stay, and I appreciated getting daily photo updates. I felt completely at ease knowing my dog was in great hands. Highly recommend!”

“Absolutely amazing experience! Left my boy for 10 days and he couldn’t have been in a better care! She kept us updated throughout the whole stay and made sure to send daily pictures. It made me feel better knowing that he was getting so much attention and love! Will be using Felicia every time we need help!”

“Stacey was so accommodating and fantastic watching our dog Monty!!! She sent cute pictures through out his trip, and he came back tired because he had so much fun playing!! 110 percent would recommend her. She’s amazing!”

“Laura took such great care of our dogs and was very kind to accommodate us on short notice! She truly “gets” dogs and her understanding of how to introduce dogs to one another insured that ours had a peaceful visit!”

“Sylwia and Doug were beyond great. We felt so at ease our entire trip knowing he was being looked after by them. Our dog can be a little anxious at first, and Sylwia picked right up on that and helped him feel comfortable. We loved the daily pictures, and will use them again in the future! Highly recommend.”

About: I love long walks with my dogs daily. We walk in the woods or the rail trail. Off season I love to the dogs to the beach. I am currently available any time of day to walk dogs. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. I schedule my day to include walks, feeding, playtime, and regular updates, making sure each pet gets dependable, consistent care. I have 2 friendly labs who love all dogs. My house is dog friendly. Dogs are allowed on the furniture and beds. I have 1 acre of land and an electric fence for my dogs.
“Our first boarding experience couldn’t have gone better. He accommodated us last minute when a family member backed out of house sitting. More importantly I learned commercial places leave the dogs unattended after business hours so finding Donnie with his in property boarding was a blessing to us. We actually plan to begin some dog training with Donnie, as he told us our dogs were great but could use a little work, lol. We have to playful spoiled pups, Wesley 5.4lbs mixed yorkie and Pablo 40+ lbs golden doodle both under a year. Neither dogs showed any signs of concerns at pick up as well as following the pick up. We will definitely use him again!! THANK YOU DONNIE!!”

“David and his family were fantastic hosts to our pup - we cannot recommend them highly enough! They were responsive during the booking process and continued with consistent communication throughout Vega's stay. The level of care and attention being paid to Vega was immediately obvious due to the updates and observations we received each night. Our dog has a bit of anxiety, especially during longer stays away, and David was on-point about noticing changes in her behavior and asking questions when necessary. Barring a scheduling conflict there's no other family we'd even consider having Vega stay with.”

“Karen was great with our dog, Bolton! She made him feel at home with her dogs and other dog in her care. We appreciate her kindness in helping Bolton to acclimate, as he can sometimes be nervous when going to new places. We're excited for Bolton to visit Karen again soon!”

“Natasha has been just wonderful to Brownie he seemed happy and all the pics showed it! I would definitely recommend Natasha completely to take care of your pet It was a wonderful experience ❤️”

“Jennifer and her family were so wonderful. They provided a lovely and safe home for Walter while we were on vacation. Her dog Molly even taught our dog good manners. Highly recommended!!!”

“Bailey, Dudley and I love, love, love Faith and her family. Saying Faith's name is just like saying "Park" to my kiddos. They turn with joy and excitement! Thanks for taking such good care of my kiddos Faith!!”

“Kristen and Bobby were extremely warm and alleviated any fears we had about leaving Ollie with them and their dog Archie. They treated Ollie like their own- Kristen even fed him kibble by kibble when he didn't want to eat. Kristen sent us photos showing Ollie relaxing on couch with her and Archie. Home sweet home! We would definitely book with them again and in fact already have!”
