Familiar with dog body language and behavior. ‘B’ level volunteer at Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary. 6+ years experience with shy/anxious dogs, leash/gate/door manners, desensitization, muzzle, and crate training. Currently working part-time, while between jobs. February and March 2026: weekdays preferred, overnights available. April 2026 forward: available after 3pm on weekdays, and all-day/overnight on weekends. I work to build animal relationships based on trust, leadership, and consistency. I wait for animals to ask for attention, give them time/space to make choices, investigate new things, and use positive reinforcement to promote good/responsive behavior.
About: I’ve been around cats and dogs since childhood. My friends, family, and co-workers have trusted me to care for their fur babies! I have a senior pittie with reactive/aggressive behavior, so I do have experience and empathy towards that! I work full time Monday-Thursday 7:30am-5pm but can drop in after work or later in the evening as well. Friday-Sunday are my more flexible days! I fully respect the owner’s schedule for their pet and will follow whatever instructions are needed to ensure your pet is safe and cared for properly. I would ask the same for my own!

Kristina took excellent care of my very nervous cat while I was away. She was patient, attentive, and took things slowly at his pace, making great progress once he felt comfortable. Kristina consistently sent updates and asked thoughtful questions, which really put me at ease. I’ll definitely be booking her again!
Melissa was beyond amazing! She truly cares and is able to interact with animals that results in them feeling comfortable. She went above and beyond by adapting toys, taking care of the litter box every time and providing my cat with treats and plenty of play time every visit. It got to the point where my cat was waiting for her to arrive. Melissa is also just a kind and friendly human as well!
