“Kris and her family took great care of our Romy and Tilly. Tilly has lots of medical/health needs and she came back refreshed and well fed. Romy is a sweet boy but was having some behavioral issues and they took care of all of it and offered some suggestions for us to help!”

“Lenore took great care of my dog. Scout and her dog, Rook, seemed to get along and it was great to know that she was staying in a “dog friendly house.” It can be hard to leave your dog behind with a stranger, but I felt confident that she would be well cared for.”

About: I grew up on a farm and have spent my whole life with cats, dogs, horses, chickens, ducks, hamsters, guinea pigs and rabbits. I helped care for them every day (food, water, bedding changes, grooming) until four years ago when I moved up to Bellingham for college (WWU!). I have always helped out with my family’s animals, but I started having serious responsibilities around the farm and barns when I was about 10 or 11. I have also assisted in birthing multiple litters of kittens, and even one miniature horse! My family currently has 5 horses, 4 dogs, 4 cats, 3 fish, and a bunny, all whom I love and help care for when I am home. I also have my own cat and dog who I absolutely adore! We have neighbors who own horses as well, and they would rely on me to take care of them when they were out of town. I currently have a pretty free schedule around school, so I have plenty of time for your fur babies, and would love to spend any and all of it with them!:) My main priority is making sure your pet (or pets) are healthy, happy and safe, just as they would be with you! I will not hesitate to contact you with any questions or concerns so I can ensure your pet is getting the care you are asking for.
“Lisa and her daughter took wonderful care of my anxious chihuahua! During Fin’s stay, they took her to the park and gave her so many snuggles! We will be booking with her again! 🩷🐾”

“Susan took wonderful care of our two pups. It was their first time being cared for outside our home, so we appreciated her daily pictures of their time with her. They came back home happy and healthy! Thanks, Susan!”

“Leslie provided an excellent boarding experience for our Frenchie, Kahi. My husband and I are always nervous to leave Kahi, but this time we felt more at ease knowing she was in great hands with Leslie. Leslie welcomed Kahi into her home and was knowledgable of what Kahi needed to feel safe and comfortable. She was diligent to provide daily updates and pictures. The pictures showed that Kahi was well-adjusted to Leslie’s home and having a great time playing and bonding with Leslie’s pups. We trusted Kahi was safe with Leslie which allowed us to enjoy our vacation. 10/10 would recommend!”

“Danielle was fantastic with Frito. She was very friendly, punctual, and sent lots of great pictures and updates, which gave us real peace of mind. Frito came home happily exhausted, which is always a sign he had a great time.”

“Trinity did a great job of looking after our senior blind/diabetic dog. Kept us informed on how she was doing. She had no problems with her special feeding schedule and giving her the insulin injection.”

“We found Kelsey and honestly feel like we hit the jackpot. From the start, she took the time to get to know us and our pups, Lexi and Charlie, making sure it was a good fit—and that little extra care made us feel totally at ease leaving them during our honeymoon. She made the whole process effortless, stayed in great communication, and sent us the perfect amount of updates—just enough to ease our dog-parent hearts without making us too jealous that our dogs were clearly living their best lives. The photo updates were a highlight (Lexi’s modeling career may have peaked). The best part? Lexi and Charlie came home happy, tired, and weirdly… better behaved? Not sure what kind of magic Kelsey worked, but we’re here for it. Her home is lovely, and her sweet dogs made great vacation buddies for ours. We’ve already told our family how amazing she is, and there’s no question—we’ve found our go-to pup-sitter. 10/10 would book again. – Jermaine & Steve”

“Shannon was great for our spoiled dog. He instantly went in and did a zillion zoomies which isn’t how he has been in the past when going to a sitters home. She sent us pictures that showed us he was on walks, was happy and relaxed. I will definitely hire her again when we may need to and 100% recommend.”

About: I've had multiple dogs throughout my life and genuinely love spending time with them. These days, I have a dog of my own plus my partner's two dogs, (we all live here) so our house is always full of happy pups! My experience includes: • Experienced Rover doggy daycare provider • Experienced dog sitter outside of Rover • Raised in a hobby farm in WI • Caring for diabetic dogs that require strict feeding schedules and medication administration • Following detailed care instructions, dietary restrictions, and medication routines with great attention to detail My own dog has taught me a lot about allergies, sensitivities, and special care needs, so I understand how important it is to trust someone who will take your pet's unique requirements seriously. Whether your dog is energetic, shy, senior, or has special needs, I'll make sure they receive attentive, loving care and are treated like part of the family. I work from home and have a large, fully fenced backyard with a high fence for added security. I also have a screened/mosquito-net door that allows me to keep the door open during the day while I work, giving the dogs easy access to fresh air and the yard while remaining safely enclosed. My desk has a full view of the backyard, so I can keep a close eye on everyone throughout the day. Of course, if you prefer that your dog not have access through the open screened door, I'm happy to keep the main door closed and follow whatever routine makes you most comfortable. I know how important peace of mind is when leaving your pet with someone else, and I'll treat your dog with the same care, attention, and affection that I give my own. -I work remotely Monday-Friday from 7-3:30 -I do tend to stay busy out of the house after 5pm for errands or a gym class a few times a week but no day is the same -Typically in the mountains one day out of the weekend I can be decently flexible during the week but I might NOT be the best fit if: -I can’t leave your dog at my house for 1.5 hours after work if I go to the gym or run an errand -If you need care past 8:00pm because that’s typically my bedtime… but I can be flexible. -Your dog doesn’t get along well with others …Otherwise, let’s do this! Other: -I live in the Roosevelt neighborhood in Bellingham -I will definitely send frequent updates and fun photos of your pet child while on pet duty -I am flexible so most things aren't a no but please reach out with questions about availability and I always do my best to respond ASAP House Fully fenced yard front and back 3 dogs live here My partner lives here too and we both are beyond careful with the dogs’ safety. We will love your dog like we love our 3 and yes, the gate is always secured :)
“Amazing care as usual!!! I feel so comfortable leaving my pup with Michelle. I know she will be well taken care of and have the best time! She always gets so excited when she gets dropped off for a visit.”

“Have used Kendra before for other vacations and continue to be impressed. Our dog came back happy, clean, and tired! Photos/videos were sent everyday for updates. Couldn't be happier!”

“I have to be honest, I was hesitant to leave my two best friends with a complete stranger. Addison didn’t feel like a stranger within 5 seconds of meeting him in person. Him and his family took such great care of my boys, and put my mind completely at ease while I was out of town for Christmas. Daily pictures and check-ins were sent to me unprompted, which I could not have been more appreciative of. Rover, I’m not sure if you read these reviews, but you have a gem in your hands with Addison. I will 100% be using Addison’s services in the future. Great guy, great family, and a great disposition around dogs.”

About: I have always had dogs! We live in the Silver Beach neighborhood and have recently lost our sweet little poodle and now that our children are grown and gone, I feel I can provide a safe, reliable, and fun space for dog parents who need a sitter. I am a homemaker who enjoys, hiking, and biking and being in the outdoors. I travel to see our son who is in college at UNC but for the most part am here in Bellingham and available for dog sitting. I have a fenced in yard in a safe neighborhood with lots of trails near my house for off leash or if it’s more important, leashed walks. Also, I love doggie cuddles.
“Chelsea was very helpful on short notice. She was able to accommodate a schedule change and took excellent care of our dog, Scout. We highly recommend booking with Chelsea.”

“Great experience! Dolly was quick to respond to our texts and sent pictures while we were away which was so nice. One of our dogs is special needs and Dolly took excellent care of her. Will definitely book with Dolly again!”

About: I grew up with dogs and cats, and have been a pet parent throughout adulthood. I have a deep love and affection for animals, and often look after the pets of family and friends as their trusted caretaker. I call myself a "whisperer" because I feel I've always known how to 'communicate' with domesticated animals and earn their trust. I'm an adjunct instructor at WWU with enough flexibility in my schedule to be available for pet care most of the time. As I considered alternative work for myself, I thought I should consider what I love to do, and pet sitting/dog walking feels like a great fit for me. I currently have a 2 year old female rescue dog who I'm 90% sure is a puggle, and 2 beautiful male cats. Traditionally I've owned boxers, but I love both big and small dogs of all kinds, puppies to seniors, as well as cats and most other pets (perhaps not insects...!). I'm reliable, friendly, patient, and love to walk, so frequent or long dog walks suit me fine. I have a flexible schedule and am available to look after your fur babies day and/or night, including day care, drop ins, boarding and house sitting. I have a pet-friendly home with a fenced yard in a safe neighborhood with parks and trails close by. I'm home much of the time so my pets get a lot of attention and care, are fed on schedule, and I'm up to date on all vaccinations. My home is clean, cozy and safe.

“The best dog minder ever. Our Toby loves playing with Archie and gets excited when I mention going over to stay with him. Holly has become almost family to us. Very reliable, friendly.”

“My dog always has the best time at Rachel’s! She has a great setup that makes sure all the pups get low stress socialization, as well as long daily walks and tons of love! She also is an excellent communicator and I love receiving pictures of their adventures every day. I know our dog Milo is not only safe but well cared for every time. Thanks, Rachel!”

Roosevelt dog parents share their Rover experiences
We arranged Susan H. to look after our 7-year old Havanese Roxy for 5 weeks while we had to make an international trip to Nepal. Roxy had never been without one of us (either myself or my wife Sharon) with her ever, during her entire life. At home, Roxy is very communicative, and well-trained to pee and poop outside, and rarely had accidents inside the house. Apparently, Roxy had a difficult time adjusting at Susan's house. It could have been the new environment and/or smells of other dogs that had been there previously. I think Roxy was also very distressed at not being at home and also that both of us had left her (or not knowing that we were ever coming back). Susan was very patient with Roxy, showed her a lot of love, and communicated regularly with us via messaging about Roxy's adjustment, issues, and progress. We were most appreciative. In the end, after 5 weeks when we picked up Roxy, Susan told us that Roxy had become like a family member in her household. When asked if she would again care for Roxy in the future (if/when we needed), Susan's answer was, "yes, indeed". I cannot recommend Susan more highly. She did a 5-star job looking after our little girl.

I recently had the absolute pleasure of entrusting my beloved senior pet, Rooney, to the exceptional care of Shannon. As a devoted pet parent, Rooney is truly my heart, and finding someone who could provide the same level of love and attention was paramount. Shannon exceeded all expectations. Shannon’s caring, friendly, and sweet demeanor immediately put both Rooney and me at ease. Understanding that Rooney is temperamental around other dogs and thrives on a schedule-oriented routine, Shannon handled every detail with remarkable sensitivity and precision. Shannon’s excellent communication was a lifeline, especially for an anxious pet parent like myself, providing constant updates that reassured me Rooney was in the best hands. Shannon's ability to connect with Rooney, respecting his unique needs and providing companionship filled with genuine warmth, speaks volumes about her dedication and heart. I wholeheartedly recommend Shannon to anyone seeking a pet sitter who will love your pet as their own. Thank you, Shannon, for being such a wonderful part of Rooney's life!

Verena was marvelous with our two energetic Shelties. They had a wonderful time, and we felt secure with them in her care. I love the photos and videos throughout their visit. Verena is great with dogs and goes out of her way to make them feel safe, relaxed, exercised and happy.

Alexis and her partner provide an out-of-town daycare and boarding service for pups, providing pick-up and drop-off, which is really great if you have a busy schedule or kids, like I do. They proposed a trial daycare, showing that they vet dogs before agreeing to take them on for longer spans of time. It's important to them that the dogs get along and are well-behaved with each other, which helped me feel comfortable with boarding my little girl there while I'm on vacation. They were kind to my shy girl, getting her carefully acclimated to the other dogs and giving her time to adjust. They sent me regular photos and updates, showing me how she was doing. She has a hot spot, so they were good about monitoring that and keeping her in good condition. She came back, happy and tired and hot spot none for the worse--which was great! I'm confident she was in safe hands and had a good day socializing with other dogs!
