About: I have been pet sitting for the a couple years, caring for both dogs and cats in a variety of settings. I have experience with multi-dog households, including overnight stays for over a week as well as shorter visits, holiday stays, play dates and walks. About: I grew up with dogs and have had at least one of my own for the last 20 years. They truly are the best friends! We have a sweet 3-year old rescue poodle mix, Mimi, who does really well with other dogs. We'd love to have your dog or cat stay with us and join in our walks and hikes and cuddles! I have had a reactive/leash reactive dog and as much as I know they can be the sweetest pups when on their own, I can't take on these dogs anymore. It creates too much anxiety for me. I live on a street where there is a constant flow of neighbor dogs both on and off leash and the trails are packed with dogs these days so it's a guarantee we will meet other dogs while we are out and about. I work from home and love to get outside and explore the beautiful trails around Bellingham. When not out sniffing the trails me and your pet will be snuggled up relaxing together. There is a fence area for visiting pets to relieve themselves (it includes about 10 stairs). I love to hike and walk and will make sure your pet gets all the movement they need. I love to snuggle too so when not out and about you can rest assured that your pet is getting lots of love and cuddles.
About: I've been an animal person my whole life; from originally wanting to be a vet (decided to pivot due to the sadness that probably comes from being a vet) to caring for pets of my own. I do not offer dog sitting in my home as I live in a building with three other people, I would be more than happy to watch your dog in your home. I am open to meeting your dog with you there before the official sitting date as I know some dogs are sensitive to new people. I am comfortable feeding and entertaining your pup as I have been around dogs my entire life. I will also be aware of any emergency contact information that would be necessary in an emergency. House Sitting I will ensure the home is secure, and perform basic tasks like collecting mail, watering plants, and maintaining cleanliness. I understand that I will be in your space and am open to following any rules you might have for your home.

These days, I have a dog of my own plus my partner's two dogs, (we all live here) so our house is always full of happy pups! About: I've been an animal person my whole life; from originally wanting to be a vet (decided to pivot due to the sadness that probably comes from being a vet) to caring for pets of my own. I've always felt I've been able to understand animals better than most people. I think it stems from my ability to innately understand their non-verbal communication. Hence, the Dolittle reference. A typical day in my home is calm, comfortable, and centered around the pet’s normal routine. I make sure they’re fed on schedule, have fresh water, a clean space, plenty of attention, and time to play or relax depending on their personality. I’m happy to follow any specific routines you have at home so your pet feels as comfortable and familiar as possible. I care for pets by following their normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, fresh water, litter box or potty breaks, playtime, and any special instructions from their owner. I also pay close attention to their behavior and comfort level, giving them plenty of affection when they want it and space when they need it.
