About: Hello! I'm Zoe, a lifelong animal lover and teacher with the Bainbridge Island School District since 2020. I’ve been caring for dogs for over 10 years, including pet sitting and walking pups of all sizes and temperaments. My family includes my sweet rescue dog Friday (a 9-year-old pittie mix) and my adventurous 3-year-old daughter Rooney. We love spending time outdoors and can often be found exploring the beaches and trails around Bainbridge together. Whether your dog loves long walks, quiet snuggles, or playtime in the yard, I’ll treat them like part of the family! I have weekends off and enjoy spending time at home with my pets. During the week, I work from 8am-2:30pm. I work 5 minutes away from home and would be able to check on any pet at least once a day. I feed pets as needed, provide daily walks and preferred exercise either on a leash out and about, at a dog park, or in my fully fenced backyard. I am happy to provide interactive treats that meet a dog's dietary needs and provide enrichmentk.

About: I have been dog sitting since I was 12. I have dog sat all types and ages of dogs. I have also owned dogs my whole life. Your dog will come back tired and happy for an adventurous day exploring. I am currently not working and have a very flexible schedule to take your dog out for a walk or to the Bainbridge dog park (if you prefer) at any hour of the day. Your pet’s safety and well-being are always my top priorities. I take the responsibility of caring for someone’s beloved dog very seriously. I follow all instructions carefully, whether it’s leash protocols, feeding, medications, or preferred walking routes. I believe in clear communication, so you’ll always receive updates and photos during our time together. I also take time to get to know each dog’s temperament, energy level, and comfort zone to make sure they feel safe and happy while in my care. I care for others dogs the way I want my dog to be cared for.

“Mel is amazing at bringing out the personalities of our cats and I always feel at ease with them in her care. The photos and videos she sends are hilarious and so appreciated.”

About: I have owned pets for as long as I can remember. Pets bring such joy to a home. I am grateful that I have learned how to take care of animals from a young age. I have adopted dogs, and been adopted by a couple of cats! I have also raised chickens over the past 20 years. My heart has a special place for our senior pets that may need a little extra care and understanding. Currently, I own the fluffiest, most affectionate cat who thinks he is a dog! His best buddy was the dog I was raising to be a guide dog. I have 2 years of dog training with dogs who have gone on to be therapy dogs. Looking forward to meeting you are your pet! Let's schedule a "meet and greet" so see if we are a good fit!. My hours are flexible, so let's see what you need! I am enjoying working from home, now that I have left my busy work commute to Seattle. I am happy to get out to walk, visit furry friends and give them the attention they need. I am available for drop ins and walks. I can administer medications, respect any special needs for your furry ones, and love to walk, run or play with them! Or just keep them company with love and affection.

“Acadia did a great job taking care of our two cats while we were out of town. Both of our cats need to be administered medication-- one needs to be swaddled and orally administered multiple pills twice a day. The last time we had a sitter, it was a disaster, requiring us to come back early from our trip! The sitter wasn't able to find one of the cats in the house or to medicate her successfully. On the other hand, Acadia handled it all like a complete pro, and we were so relieved to have somebody we could depend on. We will definitely call on Acadia again the next time we go out of town!”

About: With over 15 years of active pet-sitting experience and a lifetime of caring for animals, I bring compassion, playful attentiveness, and calm confidence to every home I visit. In 2024, I spent four months road-tripping across the U.S., housesitting along the way and caring for 7 cats and 14 dogs in 10 households—ranging widely in breed, age, temperament, and needs. This experience left me especially comfortable quickly building trusting relationships with new animals and adapting to their individual personalities. I have extensive experience with medically complex pets, including administering pills and liquid medications, giving injections, and providing wound care. I understand the importance of consistent routines, detailed observation, and gentle handling when working with animals who require special attention. Whether caring for playful puppies, senior cats, or anything in between, I offer dependable, compassionate care tailored to each pet's unique needs. I work four days a week, Thurs-Sun in the afternoon and evening. On work days, I am available in the morning and late-evening. Mon-Wed I have full availability for all types of care. I prioritize safety and active stimulation for my own pets and those I care for. In addition to maintaining feeding schedules and security, I make sure those animals in my care receive exercise and mental stimulation, depending on their needs.

Dawn C.
“To whom it may concern, I’m so pleased to recommend Dawn for Rover, she is truly one of the most kind hearted, dependable, and dog loving people I know. Dawn and I have been friends for over 20 years, and she worked with me in my retail business for 14 of those years. During that time, she stood out as my most exceptional employee, not just for her reliability and work ethic, but for her consistently outstanding customer service and genuine care for others. One of the things I’ve always admired most about Dawn is her deep love for animals, especially dogs. A favorite story that still makes me smile is the time she returned from visiting her mom in California, with a rescue dog in tow. That kind of spontaneous compassion is just who she is. Over the years, we’ve bonded over countless conversations about our dogs, and I’ve seen firsthand how much her dogs mean to her. In recent years, Dawn has been involved in training seeing eye dogs, and I’ve had the pleasure of meeting her while she’s been working with them. Watching her interact with the dogs with such calmness, patience, and confidence, is truly inspiring. She has a natural way with animals. My own dogs adore her, especially one who is typically shy and cautious around people. With Dawn, he’s relaxed, happy, and eager to see her. Dawn is sweet, smart, caring, and incredibly loyal, both as a friend and in everything she does. Her dedication to animals is genuine, and her ability to connect with them is something really special. I recommend her for Rover without hesitation, and I know any dog in her care will be in the very best hands. Warm regards, Lisa Wangen”
