âShelby dropped in to spend some time with our 10 month old lab while we were in town for a wedding. She was quick to respond and send updates, as well as send a thorough follow up with photos after leaving. Weâre so thankful she was able to spend time with our pup on short notice!â

âAlana is so wonderful at caring for my cat! Trustworthy, great communicator, very caring and thorough. I feel so relaxed being away and knowing Alana is coming to care for Sushi. I can tell she takes it very seriously and gives caring attention to my kitty! Very grateful to have found her:)â

âNatasha does an exceptional job caring for my dog, Sloan! She goes above and beyond during every drop-in visit, incorporating puppy training seamlessly into their play and care time. Iâm always impressed by how well she adjusts to Sloanâs needs each dayâwhether that means extra exercise, mental stimulation, or just some calm companionship. Natasha literally speaks dogâIâm convinced sheâs a true dog whisperer. Her understanding of canine behavior and her gentle, confident approach make all the difference. As a nurse with a busy and unpredictable schedule, it gives me such peace of mind knowing Sloan is in her capable and loving hands. I couldnât recommend Natasha more highly!â

âIzzy did a fantastic job with our dog. She made sure he was well exercised, had plenty of water, and fed him dinner. She even left our porch light on for us so we wouldnât come back in the dark. Would definitely recommend and use again!â

âKim was so sweet with my babies and they loved her immediately, which is not common for my pups. She saved me in a pinch after I moved, took great care of my girls, and gave me peace of mind knowing they were in great hands!! Iâd recommend Kim without any hesitation!!â

About: Dogs and cats have been part of my life as long as I can remember. Unconditional love from them is simply priceless. Happy to help. I am retired now and home 24/7 except for errands. I can take them for walks around the neighborhood, keep them in a crate when I'm gone, whatever your routine is, I can accommodate. I have a wonderful fenced in backyard, as well. My fenced yard is a wonderful space for them to just poke around. I can also visit your home if they're more comfortable there. Happy to baby your baby.
âI feel confident when I leave for work that my dog Gemma is in great hand with Karen, Karen is a great communicator, and responsive to request to care for you pet. Iâm fortunate to have found her on Rover!â

About: Iâve grown up with pets my entire life, and am currently a dog mom to my wonderful fur baby. Throughout the years I have been entrusted to go to peoples houses and care for their dogs, take care of dogs in my own home, and have even been entrusted to care for newborn puppies until they were old enough to go to their homes. I have a special place in my heart for dogs, and I absolutely love any opportunity to meet all kinds of new furry friends and personalities!
âWe recently were gone for a week and hired Ashley to look after our cat during drop in visits, and she couldnât have done a better job. Ashley made sure that our cat was comfortable in his own environment, and sent us the most incredible photos and descriptions of how he behaved that day. We are so incredibly appreciative of Ashleyâs amazing work and will no doubt be hiring her again in the future. She really went above and beyond, and I highly recommend her services. Thank you, Ashley!â

âLisa is very sweet and considerate. She gathered a lot of information in order to take good care of Mica. I would recommend her to anyone that needs help for their pets.â

About: Iâm a farm raised girl with years of animal care practice, dogs, cats, chickens, horses, goats, and donkeys. Iâve always had pets in my life and claimed the role of family dog trainer. Pets are my happy place, and I love spending time loving on dogs and cats so their owner feels more comfortable leaving home. My dog Pongo is very special to me and I know the pain of leaving him behind when itâs necessary, and also know the joy of finding someone with a big heart to care for him when Iâm gone. Iâm that girl with the big heart that will love and care for your furry loved ones so you can be comfortable leaving home knowing theyâre well cared for. I spent a year volunteering at West Sound Wildlife which gave me experience tending to wounded animals. Iâm well versed in giving animals medications and following strict diets. My schedule is very flexible at the moment which means Iâm able to make your animal a top priority. I work at a local restaurant but my shifts arenât long, at most Iâll be out of the house for five to six hours. I love getting to know each pet, what their needs are, and how to best meet those needs while I care for them. If tons of love and snuggles are required Iâm happy to oblige, but I also understand the different boundaries of each individual animal and how to navigate them to earn trust. My dog Pongo gets 4-5 walks per day, some are sniff walks for mental exercise, and others are to throw a stick in the woods for him to let some energy out.
âJordan has watched our 2 cats for us twice now. The cats love her and she takes very good care of them. She leaves good feedback on each visit with lovely photos. She even took our trash and recycling cans out and back in for us since we were missing our trash day. Will definitely be asking Jordan to cat-sit on future occasions.â

âDevan did a wonderful job taking care of our pup for a drop in visit! He had a fun time playing and we felt great knowing he was well cared for. Devan sent cute pictures of him and gave us a great update on the visit after.â

About: Im the go to person for pet sitting in my family, I grew up with dogs and currently have two kitties. I love hikes and would love to have the company of your dog with me! đ¤ I am a fulltime artist, so I have a pretty flexible schedule I am able to work around. I am available for daily or weekly walks and occasional house sitting. Care in my home: Always access to clean water and having multiple water locations, my cats have scheduled breakfast and dinner aswell. A clean litter box and fun toys, proper scratching trees are very important for a healthy and happy kitty. Alot of this applies to dogs aswell! Clean water, scheduled food and bathroom breaks throughout the day aswell as exercise.
About: You know when they say some people are "pet whisperers?" Yeah, that's kind of me. lol I have been born and raised around animals and have had 2 dogs, 4 cats, 2 rats, 1 hamster, hermit crabs, fish, and a bearded dragon as an adult. I'm currently a full-time nursing student in an online-accelerated nursing program so I'm basically studying all day - which makes me the perfect pet/house-sitter...I'm always around! There is usually one day a week that I'm gone for 5 or 6 hours so your pets would need to be ok with being alone for a bit, but other than that, I'm around to give them all the loves and snuggles and belly rubs they desire! As mentioned above, I'm a full-time nursing student so I pretty much just sit at my laptop and do homework/study all day. I usually have 1 or 2 days per week that I have to be in-person for labs and clinical and those days typically are about 4-5 hours per day. Otherwise, I'm here for your pet(s)! As a pet owner myself, I know the importance of keeping a pet safe and loved! I would never take a pet to an unleashed/unfenced area - I would always keep them leashed or make sure it was a fully secure area that your pet already knows (your local fenced dog park for example). I recognize that some pets take a little time to warm up so I would give them the space and time to warm up, and accept me, on their terms - never forcing them to be by buddy. :)

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
