Our dog Sofia had the BEST time at Karen and Mark's. Sofia has been very isolated from other dogs during the pandemic, and we were a little concerned when we heard that they were watching two other dogs as well. But Karen promised to keep Sofia separate from the others-- something that she did until it became clear to her that Sofia and the other dogs WANTED to get together and play. Karen reported this change in full to us, kept her clearly practiced and experienced eye on the situation, and the result was that Sofia ended up having a great time playing "catch me" with the others. She was happy when we picked her up, and once home-- fell into a deep and peaceful sleep. We're going to do this again.

Ashley’s done such a good job with our little beagle. Our little beagle is more and more comfortable, Ashley’s place is now her home away from home. We love seeing the photos of her fun day!

Brooke was great! While our dog only stayed with her for a couple hours, I received pictures of our pup and her son playing together. She was kind, attentive, and flexible! If we're back in the area and need someone to watch our pup, we will absolutely reach out to Brooke again. She also had a great place with a fenced in deck!

We are very pleased with Cathleen and how well she cared for Lucy. We had a meet & greet first and then scheduled Lucy’s first visit for today. All I can say is that it’s a good life for a dog if they spend the day with Cathleen! Walks, beach, and naps!

Trenton and Jordan were our lifesavers. They took Daisy on short notice and let us drop her off at 7am! We got plenty of photos of a happy Daisy throughout the day. As soon as Daisy got home, she happily passed out, exhausted from running around and exploring on their property.

Zi did a great job watching Yuki, even though he had an accident at her apartment and hyperactive with her dog. She sent plenty of photos, videos and updates, and was honest with how my pup did at the end. I'd recommend her with anyone who has a small/medium sized dog.

About: In our home, dogs aren’t just guests — they’re family. We live on a quiet private street on Bainbridge Island with a spacious yard, including a securely fenced section — perfect for safe play and fun. Dogs who stay with us are treated like family. We’ve owned many breeds over the years, from Golden Retrievers to Huskies to Terriers, and love meeting each dog’s unique needs. Our two boys (10 and 13) adore visiting pups and keep them busy with games, backyard adventures, and plenty of exercise. Along with playtime in the yard, we take dogs on daily long walks to keep them happy, healthy, and tired in the best way. You’ll get daily photo and video updates so you can see your dog having a blast. We’ll love and care for your dog as if they’ve always been part of our family. As a stay-at-home dad, I’m home most of the day to give visiting dogs plenty of love, attention, and supervision. Mornings start with playtime and a walk to get tails wagging. Throughout the day, we include walks, yard time, games, and plenty of exercise to keep pups happy and engaged. In the evenings, we enjoy long walks at beautiful Battle Point Park or along wooded trails, followed by cozy snuggles to help every dog wind down feeling safe and loved. Your dog’s safety and comfort come first in our home. We have a securely fenced section of our yard for safe, supervised play, and dogs are always leashed when outside that area. Visiting pups meet our two friendly resident dogs gradually, ensuring a smooth and comfortable introduction for everyone. If dogs need their own space, we have plenty of separate areas inside the house to keep them relaxed and stress-free. Someone is almost always home to supervise, and walks at beautiful Battle Point Park or nearby wooded trails give every dog fresh air, exercise, and enrichment in a safe environment.

About: I’ve always loved dogs & have had pups by my side my entire life. Caring for dogs comes second nature to me. I’ve worked with dogs of all personalities and ages, from energetic puppies to sweet seniors who need a gentler touch. I’m patient and responsible, and enjoy making dogs feel comfortable and happy. Whether your dog is shy, social, quirky, or full of zoomies, I know how to adjust care to match their needs. My family & I treat every dog like they’re our own and we would love the opportunity to spend time with your furry friend too! My Skills & Experience: - Lifelong dog lover with experience caring for pups of all ages - Comfortable with shy, senior, high-energy, and big-breed dogs - Gentle, patient approach with anxious or first-time boarders - Understanding of dog body language and safe interactions - Experienced with medication routines and special instructions - I provide updates, photos, and videos of your pup while you're away! I am home most of the time with my 1 year old currently so am able to accommodate and care for your dog(s) most days and times! I’m able to give dogs plenty of interaction and attention throughout the day. My calendar is always up to date, but feel free to message me with any schedule-specific questions. About My Home: Your pup will feel safe, loved, and comfortable here! I have a fully fenced yard perfect for playtime, potty breaks, and plenty of sniffing. I also have two friendly dogs who enjoy company, though all interactions are based on your dog’s comfort level. Inside, I’ve created multiple gated areas so every dog has their own calm, secure space. Crates are available if your dog prefers them or if you request it. I use a Furbo camera and happily will send photo and video updates so you never have to wonder how your pup is doing. When the weather cooperates, I love taking dogs on peaceful neighborhood walks, and I can provide baths if needed as well. *Important: I do have a 1 year old at home, so I’m only able to host dogs who are gentle and comfortable with young children. Safety and a calm environment are top priorities in our home. Safety: Your dog’s comfort and safety , and my family’s, are my top priorities. I do slow, careful introductions with my dogs, or no introductions if requested. Gated “safe spaces” are always available. I follow all feeding, medication, and care instructions exactly as given.

Super Julie (SJ) went well beyond my expectations when taking care of Zuri. Not only did he get two walks, he got time at the dog park and time meeting and interacting with people. He was a ball of smiles when I met him at the end of the day and crashed hard for the rest of the evening (such a treat after a long day at work!). I give SJ my highest recommendation and hope to have her again as Zuri's sitter. From the countless photos I got during the day to the way I saw her interact with him, you know she's an animal person and knows how to treat your dog like family. I know he'll be a happy pup hanging out with her and hope to work with her again.

About: Hi! My name is Maya. I am 28 years old and grew up on the island. I’ve had animals all my life and know how to care for and pamper them. I believe our animals are additional family members and are to be treated with the same respect and love we give to our human family members. I love long walks on the beach (or forest or neighborhood), playing fetch, and just generally loving on your animals. I currently have medically sensitive pets so I am capable and adept at giving medication, surgery recovery, food allergies & skin issues and more. I do full time animal care so have a fair amount of flexibility in my day! I am able to do early mornings and late nights on request. I have one friendly dog, but unless you request a playmate for your dog, or we discuss beforehand, they will stay home. I am very good with instructions/taking notes if you don’t leave set instructions. I will respect your wishes and always be communicative if an issue arises. I believe you know your pet best and I will respect your wishes down to the T whether that be in regards to their walks, their feeding, their home treatment or anything else. I’m here for your pet and your peace or mind!

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Indianola

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Indianola on Rover is $72.15 per day (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 3,779 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Indianola. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Indianola commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 3,779 sitters in Indianola, 88% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
