“Pamela was great. Very communicative. Took Sancho for a long walk and sent several pictures dying the 2 hour visit. I felt like he was very safe and well cared for. Thank you Pamela!”

About: I have a flexible eyelash salon schedule I can work around your pets schedule. I’m also an empty nester, so I have no commitments in the evenings to take me away from your fur baby. In AZ I would be able to be with your pet almost all the time. I would like to check out the sea a couple hours a day as I’m planning on moving here, but otherwise I am all theirs!! I currently work full time in a lash salon setting so I can take breaks as needed, go in late or get off early, depending on your pet’s needs. I will need 3-4 weeks notice to guarantee accommodations. That being said I’m typically free 6pm-9am for overnight boarding M-Sat and all day Sunday. I’m can come to you so your pet feels safe and secure in their own environment. I’ve lived alone for 5 years now and I’m quite comfortable. I’m used to juggling 3 kids sports schedules. Hanging with your fur babies will seem like a relaxing evening cuddling and watching the latest show.
“So nice and responsive! She kindly offered many services that were beyond the scope of what we booked (we just needed someone to watch our cats but she asked about various house sitting tasks). Our cats seemed healthy and happy when we returned home which is all we wanted :). Would definitely book again!”

About: When neighbors or friends need a dog sitter, I always raise my hand! I love long walks, playing fetch and canine cuddles. I have experience with all ages (young pup to senior). I am taking time to figure out my next professional chapter. While I do that, I have lots of time to put energy into something I love: being with animals. I'm well-versed in using multiple-dog-lead leashes, spending quality time with pets, and being bad cop when a fur baby tries to get an extra feeding.

“Jacob looked in on our young cat for 5 days the first time we left her alone. He is a natural with animals. Our experience was great! Cat did great with him and we would definely book Jacob in the future!”

“Kalea was a fantastic sitter for my cat while I was out of town. She was easy to contact, did everything I needed, and my cat was very well taken care of when I returned from my trip!!”

“Jennifer is awesome - she takes such great care of our dog and cat, and send so many wonderful photos! It’s always hard to leave our pets, but Jennifer makes it easier because we know she keeps them happy, healthy and entertained while we’re away. We’re so glad we found her!”

“Mel and Kelly were extremely reliable and professional. We zoomed prior to the day and texted leading up. They visited my puppy 3 times in one day to get her food, exercise and love. I had complete confidence while at work, they gave me peace of mind. Maple was happy and the photo updates were much appreciated.”

About: With over 15 years of active pet-sitting experience and a lifetime of caring for animals, I bring compassion, playful attentiveness, and calm confidence to every home I visit. In 2024, I spent four months road-tripping across the U.S., housesitting along the way and caring for 7 cats and 14 dogs in 10 households—ranging widely in breed, age, temperament, and needs. This experience left me especially comfortable quickly building trusting relationships with new animals and adapting to their individual personalities. I have extensive experience with medically complex pets, including administering pills and liquid medications, giving injections, and providing wound care. I understand the importance of consistent routines, detailed observation, and gentle handling when working with animals who require special attention. Whether caring for playful puppies, senior cats, or anything in between, I offer dependable, compassionate care tailored to each pet's unique needs. I work four days a week, Thurs-Sun in the afternoon and evening. On work days, I am available in the morning and late-evening. Mon-Wed I have full availability for all types of care. I prioritize safety and active stimulation for my own pets and those I care for. In addition to maintaining feeding schedules and security, I make sure those animals in my care receive exercise and mental stimulation, depending on their needs.

I provide a gentle approach around animal’s and aim to provide only the best care for your pet! “We are very happy with the care and communication Emily provided. She even stopped by the vet and picked up a perscription I forgot to get before leaving town. We were able to relax while visiting family knowing our kitty was being well taken care of.”

Pet care is my second part-time passion alongside teaching. In the summer, I’m fully available—days, evenings, and weekends. As a pet parent myself, I know how important it is to feel confident in your pet’s care. My home is a safe, calm, and loving space, but I only offer in-home boarding to trusted clients and pets, as I have a precious new cat of my own to consider. My schedule is extremely open-ended at the moment and I have plenty of availability for walks and visits, including last-minute bookings. Don't hesitate to contact me! I'm happy to care for your pets in their own, familiar environments. In my experience, pets being able to stay in their own homes while their people are away is ideal for maintaining their comfort and feeling of safety, especially when introducing an unfamiliar human into the mix. This is especially true for animals that tend to be anxious. I will always be respectful about entering and being in your home, and diligent in making sure it stays clean and secure.
About: I've always loved animals since I was a kid, and I'd really enjoy spending time getting to know and taking care of your pets. It's something I genuinely enjoy doing. I usually work in the mornings, so I can take care of your pets in the afternoons or on weekends. Let me know what works best for you! This is my first time using a sitting app, but I own two cats and have taken care of many kittens. I'd love to hear your input on how I can become a better sitter for you. Your pets' well-being is my top priority, and I'm committed to providing the best care.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Port Blakely
Hannah did a wonderful job taking care of our cat. She came every day and made sure of food/water refreshed and kept litter box clean. Our cat is very shy but warmed up to Hannah. We felt our cat was very safe and well cared for. Hannah sent details each day and pictures. We definitely will book her again on our upcoming trips.

Mel and Kelly were very thoughtful and caring cat sitters. We met Mel in person before we left so that we could introduce her to Arwen (Kelly was out of town). They came regularly each day, followed all the care instructions that we left, provided fun pictures and videos, took in our mail, and left the house clean and tidy! We appreciated the extra mile that Mel and Kelly went to make sure Arwen felt cared for. Specifically, Arwen tends to hide from strangers, so the first time Kelly came to care for Arwen (with Mel), she hid the whole time. Mel made another attempt later in the day to check in on Arwen. With patience and being sensitive to her scaredy-cat ways, Arwen warmed up to both of them, which made us feel much better leaving her in their care during this trip. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again in the future!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
