Pet care experience
Active pet-loving couple!
We are Kel and Mel, an active, reliable, and communicative couple who house sit and pet sit on Bainbridge Island and also when we travel. We don't currently have pets of our own, but are godparents to many little furry ones. We each have about 25 years of experience in pet care for cats, dogs, bunnies, horses, llamas, goats, pigs, fish, lizards, hamsters, and birds including chickens. We are currently at capacity for overnight pet-sitting, and available for a limited number of new pets for day time walks and drop-ins. We are both fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and are not currently able to housesit or dog walk for anyone who's household is not fully vaccinated, thank you for your understanding.

We currently cannot accommodate pets in our own home, but we can provide care in yours. We do our best not to disrupt the important routines of your pets, and maintain the consistency they are used to.

Mel and Kelly are the best! They are responsible and conscientious, and they clearly spent lots of time doting on our very spoiled kitty. Zoya seemed to really enjoy having their company, and was entirely comfortable with them from the start. We feel very fortunate to have found Kelly and Mel, and I highly recommend them!
Mel and Kelly were very thoughtful and caring cat sitters. We met Mel in person before we left so that we could introduce her to Arwen (Kelly was out of town). They came regularly each day, followed all the care instructions that we left, provided fun pictures and videos, took in our mail, and left the house clean and tidy! We appreciated the extra mile that Mel and Kelly went to make sure Arwen felt cared for. Specifically, Arwen tends to hide from strangers, so the first time Kelly came to care for Arwen (with Mel), she hid the whole time. Mel made another attempt later in the day to check in on Arwen. With patience and being sensitive to her scaredy-cat ways, Arwen warmed up to both of them, which made us feel much better leaving her in their care during this trip. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again in the future!
Mel and Kelly are the best. Louie is a nervous puppy, and their kindness immediately put him at ease. We feel very lucky to have found such a perfect people to help us care for a beloved member of our family.

Incredible! Mel and Kelly jumped right in when our previous sitter couldn’t. We were overseas and needed a miracle to take care of our pup super last minute. Quick response and was able to come same day. Great photos of the pup and wonderful communication!

Schedule
We both work remotely/work from home in consulting and have the luxury of flexibility in our schedules. We enjoy pet sitting as a way to keep active, meet new people, and of course, have fun playing with pets.
