About: I had a dog for 8 years and have found myself an "auntie" to many of his dog friends. Mine was a rescue dog, so I have first hand knowledge of some behavior issues that can come along with some rescued dogs. I have the patience, love, and demeanor to take great care of your pet like they're part of the family. I work full time from home, and have for many years. I can arrange my schedule for mid-day walks/breaks/potty time and there's nothing I love more than a good adventure or an evening walk. I live in a pet friendly building, so while I don't have a dedicated yard, I know of plenty of areas in the neighborhood to get to play and exercise. I will not accept multiple pets from different famillies, so your pet will have my dedicated attention while in my care.

“Byamba was exceptional! We felt very comfortable leaving our dog with his loving family. We received regular updates and Luka was very happy when we picked him up. Thanks again for your help!”

“Juliet was very accommodating to my work schedule. She kept me informed with pictures and how Remi was doing throughout the day. She is caring, kind and sweet and will make sure your pup is taken great care of.”

About: I’ve been dog sitting for friends and strangers alike ever since I graduated and moved to DC in 2019! It all started because I had such a deep love for dogs, but was not yet ready to have one of my own. Nowadays, I share an adorable little mutt with my boyfriend, and we split the care for her fairly evenly. Because of this, if you’re interested in boarding your pet, they need to be friendly with other dogs; ours absolutely LOVES them. Otherwise, I am happy to pet sit at your residence. Additionally, I have experience with elderly dog care and will cater to whatever their needs are. I’m a full-time corporate girlie with a flexible, hybrid work schedule. I’m normally in the office 2-3 days/week, but can work from home the entire duration of your pet’s stay, if that is desired. I’m happy to work with you to create the exact level of care and attention you desire for your doggo. Your pet would have free rein of the house while we’re home and would be kept in a separate room/ crate than our dog when we’re away. We do have a yard, although it’s not fenced in, so we let our dog run around on a 50 ft leash in the backyard; we could do the same for your dog!

“My boys Biscuit and Waffles are very lucky to have a such a wonderful sitter in Leonard! He’s warm, patient, and confident with my boys, who always come home from a visit with Leonard and his family in the best energy. Leonard is on point with communication before and during dog-sitting sessions. My favorite part: the regular update pics of the boys interacting with Leonard’s family (human and fur babies), which show everybody relaxed and chilled in their home. Good vibes all around!”

“Grace and Drew did a great job taking care of Mia and were even able to get her to eat, which is rare when she is with a sitter. Mia enjoyed roaming around in their backyard and going for walks too. When Mia wasn't exploring, Grace was very attentive in letting Mia snuggle with her, which is Mia's favorite activity.”

“Shipra took great care of my maltipoo, making sure he got settled in well and had a relaxing day. Appreciated Shipra for being a responsive, patient, and friendly petsitter! Her pup William is also so sweet!”

About: I've grown up surrounded by dogs at home, and volunteered at the local animal shelter, so it was obvious that I got my first own dog after finishing university. She was a rescue who was possibly previously abused and had severe medical conditions. So, I had to become a reliable owner in her eyes to be able to build a strong and trustful connection between us. Together we completed a basic and an advanced dog training, and attended personal coaching sessions. I am currently training her to speak via dog-speaking-buttons. I have prior long-term cat-sitting experience (2-4 months), and frequent short term dog sitting experience (1-3 weeks). I am currently studying from home so I am very flexible to attend your dog's needs. I have my own dog (and husband) who loves to go for walkies anytime during the day. We live in a two-bedroom apartment with enough space for your dog to spend a little alone time if he/she likes it. My dog is friendly with other dogs after getting to know each other. They will first meet on neutral grounds, outside of the apartment. I can manage any dietary needs, medications, special instructions.

“Jisoo is absolutely fantastic! She’s communicative, thorough, and trustworthy. I’m so happy to have had her look after Maggie. Thank you, Jisoo.”

“Milo had a fantastic stay with Winston and Catherine. Catherine was kind to watch Milo last minute for us on a Saturday night. She sent frequent pictures and was so loving and caring with Milo. Would love for Milo to stay again next time we are in town❤️”

“Emma is super responsive and she was available last minute for us. My two cavaliers had a wonderful day with her. She walked them multiple times and they came home tails wagging happy and tired at the end of the day.”

“Thanks for the easy, fast communication and taking such good care of our dog for day care! The update pictures and text were much appreciated. Would definitely book again.”

“Amy saved the day for my chiweenie, Willar and I. Her pup Winston is a such a cute little guy and very mild mannered. Amy took great care of my little senior pup currently on a special diet and needing lots of attention and affection. Amy was also flexible and understanding of my own separation anxiety being away from my furbaby 😄”

About: I’ve cared for dogs and cats for many years and have experience with a wide range of personalities, energy levels, and needs. I currently live with my friendly and social female golden retriever. I’m confident handling pets in different situations and always aim to make them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. What Sets Me Apart: I provide a unique, attentive style of care that’s tailored to your dog’s personality and needs. From peaceful companionship to adventurous trail walks, I offer more than just pet-sitting—I create enriching, engaging experiences. I keep my care intentionally small and focused, typically only looking after one other dog at a time, or at most three (including my own), so every pet gets personalized attention. I’m dependable, patient, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. Whether it’s a playful puppy or a mellow senior, I adapt to their pace and routine, treating every pet like my own. I wake up early and usually start the day with a nice hike on local trails with the dogs. Since I work from home, your pet will be supervised for most of the day and will never be left alone for long periods. I live in a beautiful, pet-friendly community with a dog park right behind my house and access to peaceful hiking trails—perfect for daily walks and outdoor time. Your pet will be treated like part of the family in a safe, calm, and welcoming environment. I follow their usual routines as closely as possible, including specific feeding times, walks, and any medications they may need. I’m happy to accommodate special diets or health needs. For safety, I crate dogs at night and when I briefly step out, unless you request otherwise. They get 4–6 potty breaks a day, depending on the weather, and plenty of playtime and affection throughout the day. I currently have one friendly dog at home, and I always do slow, supervised introductions to make sure everyone feels comfortable.

“Rebecca and her family were great. My dog, Tula, was happy as can be and really enjoyed running around their backyard. She also sent me pictures of Tula throughout the day. Thank you, Rebecca!”

“Jie is our new go to for doggy day care, for my 15 week old puppy. She sent updates throughout the day, and I felt like he was very safe and happy to be in her home.”

“Tarang and her husband were so wonderful with my pup. He is often nervous with new people but warmed up to them right away. By day 2 of daycare, he was literally jumping for joy when we arrived at their building. Tarang is so kind and caring with him, and he apparently follows her everywhere. He also loves playing with her dog, Rio. Tarang’s building is really dog friendly—they have a patio and a little dog park. My pup has made new friends there and just loves it. I’m so glad I found Tarang on Rover. She’s the perfect sitter for my dog, and I feel great having such a warm and caring place to bring him during the day.”

“Our dogs, Rizzo and Ginger, spent the day with Andy in Day Care when we needed to go out of town. This is their second time with Andy and he is wonderful with them. He sent us some pictures of them, took them on walks, and put together a "report card" on what they did during the day. Andy is so good with dogs and we are also happy knowing they are in a safe and loving environment. We will certainly use Andy again!”

8. Viktoria & Bence S.
“My dog is amazing but not an easy one for sure. Even after many schooling and private lessons he still has his own ideas and can get distracted by everything. He always needs a 100 % attention or he will do something that he shouldnt… Viki always handled him with ease and at the good level of firmness. The way I can tell that its good for both because they both get very happy and excited too see each other! I can leave my precious with her for a weekend or for a week and theres never an issue. Maybe she could send more pictures while im away, I mean come on, 1 picture a day? Jokes aside, happy to recommend her!”
